When I first heard this song back in 2001 I thought it was in the style of Pinkerton. Remember that by 2001, Weezer knew that Pinkerton had a cult following by then. It is sort of a reminder that they are capable of that style, but not going to dedicate an album theme to it. The Pinkerton style did live on in tracks in further albums, much like in "O Girlfriend"
So do you re-record all of the music yourself and just place in the vocal? Just curious since people use AI for stuff I was wondering whether or not you actually recorded it. Very nice either way.
@@razrentals8897 thanks! The vocals are mostly original. I used pitch correction to alter melodies or create harmonies. Occasional AI is used for backing vocals. I do all the instrumentals myself.
you know what would be cool? a proper studio version of Pacific sunset. its one of weezer's best demos and although it got used in run raven run i think it still isn't pacific sunset.

You should check out Granola’s version. I think that’s pretty much how it would’ve sounded had it been on the white album.

@@ryfkiherdi EZ Drummer 3. I experimented with different snares and kicks to get something similar to Pinkerton and compressed the room mics hard
