I personally think that he is explaining the reality evidently. And we all should know the difference between to like or enjoy something and to overwhelm something on ourselves. Being a citizen of our country we should also try to promote our culture no matter where we go. We have to realize that like we accept the culture of any other country we don't know if they are doing the same or not. It's like suppression of something on us. Enjoying someone's culture and suppressing our culture under another one , both are contrast things. I also love Korean and Chinese culture but that doesn't mean I forget my own culture and start to live like them, follow all their traditions and all.. Try to understand and preserve your own culture also. Thanku
Korean Govt. spends ginormous amount of money for protection and spreading of their culture. In India, we are literally losing our uniqueness of diversity in recent times, i.e., here one culture is destroying others, which is leading to radicalization and destroying our face in the world stage, and there degraded Bollywood and other Indian commercial movies are adding fuel to that fire.
Bhai sach baat ye hai ki south Korea aur Japan jaise desh apni language ki kafi respect karte hai aur almost har jagah chahe voh professional life bhi kyu na ho apni language ka hi use karte hai. Girls bahaut pehle se hi Kdrama aur Kpop se familiar thi jaise boys Hollyewood movies aur hiphop se, abhi bas social media me baate zyda hoti ha, different platforms me data mil jata ha influence samajhna aasan ho jata ha........Agar Western content consume karna aam baat ha to Korean content dekhna bhi same hi ha
problem yeh h we're only consuming but not doing the same thing, we're just subject to others , we should also build our own Industries ,brands and Softpower to compete with them
@-IGRIS- Very true.... But business people do not care about Art they care about money... They see no money in Romance now a days so they won't make kdrama like movies... They would keep making Jawan Pathan Animal then girls watch kdramas same with horror and sci-fi movies, Indian cinema rarely offer any good movie in that genre so people watch hollywood movies.... Unfortunately, the genre of films, dramas are chosen by interest of the mass
I dive into J-dramas, anime, and manga, all while knowing Japanese. In Korea, it’s all about K-dramas, K-pop, K-movies, and webtoons. Thailand? BL dramas are my favorite! Taiwan and China? I occasionally enjoy their BL dramas and interesting movies. Hollywood? I watch all kinds of dramas and movies there. And India? I’m all in for every movie and song. Basically, entertainment is my ultimate world tour!
The K wave is not limited to K pop but also things that need to be mentioned Korean food Korean fashion Korean beauty/skin care brand Korean sauna Korean makeup( known as aegyo sal makeup) Korean drama(always getting popular in netflix) Korean technology Korean language Korean culture Plastic surgery Korean tourism(mostly due to it's pop culture and film industry) And much more.............................................................................
I personally started consuming k-content before pandemic, it was a time when everyone had no idea what it was and it was a very niche community. Now every other person be it a girl or a guy consumes k content(dramas, music, food etc). Many people in my circle who used to talk shit about k dramas and kpop are now ADDICTED to it. I wondered why did many people including me prefer to watch k dramas or listen to krnb music whatever. 1. Indian Music atleast for the casual listener is synonymous with movie songs, which these days are pure garbage when compared to 2000s or earlier music. Kpop in a sense not only has music but the performance element to it. The performance aspect is what drew me in. 2. India doesn’t produce great OTT shows. I’ll be brutally honest, series in India are either catered to aunties like yk saas-bahu serials or something really extreme like crime, adult themes etc. Now the question is do I want to a watch a lighthearted, short series after a long day or some suspense thrillers or those BP increasing shows. I’d personally prefer the former, and kdramas perfectly cater to that. Im not saying India doesn’t produce great content. It does but it’s not consistent in doing that. There are very good Indian independent artists not just playback singers and there definitely are some good sitcoms like TMKOC but humans need variety at one point. 3. South Korea has INVESTED in their culture, do we do that? SK has shows on its mythology fusioned with modern day culture( goblin , superpowers or shamanism etc) they take their culture and package it for consumption. Haters might say I’m just “brainwashed “ into thinking so, but these are my observations for 6-7 years. If seen and compare the content released in both countries objectively you realise what they are doing right, and how they are doing. There are downsides to each culture be it the toxic beauty standards or whatever but I hope people don’t generalise any person any k content as a koreaboo or calling kpop idols gay, people who do that must be really insecure with themselves. Like they have different beauty standards in their country as so do we, we are in no place to judge them and come into our conclusions. Finally people who are interested in some K rnb music, I’d recommend artists like Gemini, Dean, woodz etc.
It ain't virus.Seeing something one enjoys is not bad. I mean I don't watch these much too, but I agree korean shows are much more better than bollywood for Indian youth and teenagers
@SakuraSeraphim-j7g Naah they are not. Korea is not better for anything for anyone. Its a dystopian society which is gonna sink more cultures, countries with it. But its okay, some people only learn with first hand experience. So you are free to have your own opinion. Regarding shows being better, well, first, its subjective what one likes. and second you don't decide among which two shits are better. They both are plain and utter shit.
there is a big problem, the way small cultures have been destroyed by western culture, in the same way, our culture is very big but gradually it will also end. indian girls are trying to become what they are not by giving up what they are.
See how entertainment can make or break a country...... Malayalam cinema is best it preserve our culture and not copy others...if our tv and movies become better we can also influence on others
It seems overhyped to me. We are a large nation. Even if only a section of people in India view their stuff. That will still be larger in scale than many countries. I myself use a lot of South Korean-related products. However, that does not imply, that I am a fan or their follower. For me, it's market dynamics. I'll utilize their stuff if it's competitive and good. I'll check something else if not. They don't hold any emotional significance for me.
Even if it's carefully planned move we don't have many options while buying smartphones you either buy Apple (Made in China ) or other Brand Made in China or Samsung ( atleast have better security better features and ad free). I agree to you. Also I'm not into Korean things, while appreciate Korean movies like Old boy and Parasite I also love movies from Japan, China, Indonesia and whole international cinema that's discussed in pop culture. Other than that I personally don't like Kpop songs and dances. Also I'm 0 mke up guy and very choosy when it comes to food i don't any thing that's not Indian not even Maggie.

I have very high hopes for this channel🤞🏽 Just a feedback for this thumbnail: Removing the brand name from the thumbnail will reduce clutter and make the story more easily understandable.
Long before Gangnam Style I already heard about k-drama like Full House and Boys over flowers. Little bride which was released in 2004 was my first movie.
It was a phase for me. I used to consume more Korean content while I was in school. I began listening to K-Pop from groups like SNSD, which were second generation. I've never been into K-beauty because of how ridiculous it is, as well as the differences in climate and skin type. I still occasionally listen to K-pop and view K-drama. However, things are not the same as they were in the past.
I might be wrong but I feel like we are slowly losing our true identity and culture to not only Korean culture but also to Western culture. Consuming such contents are perfectly fine but we must not forget how culturally rich we ourselves are. Even I as a Kpop/ Kdrama fan feel like we are not really appreciating our culture enough.
Perhaps younger people today are more addicted to all things Korean. For my part, I am able to strike a balance. Their content appeals to me, yet I am picky about it. The language is irrelevant to me. I'll watch anything as long as it interests me. And I don't give a damn about what they think of us.
I appreciate the effort you’ve put into creating this video. However, the video contains some inaccuracies and misinformed points. Let me break it down point by point: 1. Korean Media over Indian media Korean dramas and content are enjoyed by Indians, not because we are neglecting Indian culture, but because they offer strong, unique, and relatable themes. On the other hand, much of Indian cinema today produces repetitive or vulgar content that audiences can’t connect with. It’s not about rejecting Indian culture. it’s about the quality of content being consumed. Also, Indian films like Laapata Ladies, Three of us and others were screened in South Korea last year. 2. Selective Clips In the video, you included clips of you tube videos which were debunked many times due to their biased and misinformed points. Other clips, where some Indians are sharing their bad experiences living in South Korea. These creators have also shared the many positives, which you didn’t highlight. This makes it seem like the goal was only to show the negative side. 3. Misrepresentation of following kpop idol's diet. You showed a clip of a girl following a K-pop idol's daily routine, it was just for a video, and not her actual lifestyle. Also, she’s a fully funded scholar in Korea, awarded multiple times by the Korean government. 4) Generalization Many Indians are recognized and Financially supported by Korean Government. I, as a journalist have spoken to many Indians who come from extremely vulnerable societies, and their lives have transformed drastically by learning their language. On the other hand, I know many Koreans who study Sanskrit, Hindi, and other aspects of Indian culture, and some have even moved to India permanently. This is culture exchange. (Unfortunately, they also face racism here on everyday basis and many a times i have witnessed it too.) Racism exist in South Korea and i, in no way am trying to dismiss their experience. However, we need understand it's not the whole country, racism exists everywhere, it’s a global issue that needs careful discussion, not generalization. Lastly, This is a feedback and not hate. India and South Korea have been allies for over 50 years, supporting each other in various ways. Culture exchange is surely there, and i don't see it dominating ours or any others. 😇😇😇

Everything was good until last few mins I must say. We can't just decide that youth is overly obsessed to the point that they forget their roots. While watching this video felt like u guys did do a great job in your research as to how hallyu has spread globally. No doubt and u did your best so that no k-fan would be hurt like any other yt channel does to look down on a country. But let me tell you south korea is another conservative, traditional country like India but they chose to globalize their culture to find a quick route get out of a very bad situation they were facing. It's not a scheme to create obsessed ppl/kids as how u say it. It is using their soft power so that they won't see the hellish days they faced in the past. And the problem is most Indians consuming Korean products?? Well, a little more research needed to say that it's one-sided love. What if you guys have seen only one side of the coin?? If you see carefully there are many ppl who love India and also live in India who are Koreans. And thankfully, even tho not by govt. policies like how korea took a stand many Indians who are working or studying there are also introducing Indian culture to Korea. It might not be a global cultural exchange but there is a two-way communication btw countries. And whatever korean hatred towards india u r talking about do you think it's only there? Now that ppl saw few of such videos are saying that. But how many more hatred videos made by content creaters here? wouldn't that make the other side feel the same too? Tell me if a small country like korea can use it's soft power to go globally recognised, can't a big country like our India make much more bigger impact than that? But did we? No, atleast we didn't do it by plan. Becuz we chose not to. Our country's priorities were different for many different reasons. The fact that koreans doesn't know much about India is not because they didn't have interest on us or not that they didn't care. Tell me if only they didn't release such songs would we have cared about a country like SK? And would we wanna know about them? Let's just not come to a conclusion that few ppl are obsessed and that is becuz of few ppl pre-plannedly doing it. Let's try to look at it rationally, neutrally and optimistically. Thank You🙏🙏🤓 and Sorry for such a big Essay😅🤓

Old boy is adapted from manga which is japanese, parasite was inspired by Shoplifters. East Asian cinema not just Korean is amazing. japanese, chinese, Hong kong, all have their own masterpieces which 90% of the world doesn't know. For Indians, Entertainment starts and ends with korean
@aartibhat3016 everything is inspired from "something" btw Japanese entertainment is more popular in india Korean has entered just 2 -3 years ago
You really did good by giving your effort in making this video. I slowly came to realize earlier we were thinking western as superior and trying to imitate them and now we are so crezy into kpop and k drama that everyone forgetting their's culture.
It's is okay to watch other countries content but as we all know excess of anything is harmful l'm BTS army but they didn't become my obsession l love their messages their helpful nature but l'm deeply connected with my culture. We have more potential then others our country is beautiful vibrant we have to realise that .
This is really a informative video keep going .....
Thanku
As a kpop/kdrama fan i just have to appreciate how on point your video is!
Great job guys, you gained a subscriber!
Vo khud apni language aur culture ko inta importance dete hai isliye duniya bhi unhe respect de rahi hai. India mai to bas english hi sab kuch hai aur isliye india kafi jada peche hai in desho se.
I am a genz indian but now don't like indian movies and show anymore
Same, except for some
Same
Yes our culture is so great that we don't even speak hindi and feel ashmed if we make any mistake during forming a sentence and take pride if we are unable to speak hindi .. bollywood actor so called hindi actors never gives interviewes in hindi and u can't get a bare minimum job if you dont speak english
Simple, we Indians are white skin worshipper. Even we changed our god skin colour, from dark to light
And Koreans apne bhasha main hi baat karte Hain. Hamare entertainment industry walo ko Unse Kuch sikhna chahie.

Thank you so much!!
This is like a back hole once you enter this Hallyu wave there is no going back . I'm saying this from an person experience

Isme problem kya ha? pehle America products bikte the ab Korean products bikte ha.... aur Korean cosmetics bahaut mehenge aate ha and now a days there is a boom Indian Cosmetic products and beauty influencers bahaut promote bhi karte ha affordable good Indian products ko..... Kpop sensation sirf India mein nhi ha whole world me ha... Kdramas ki audience bhi pure world me thi, abhi bas different platforms me easily with subs or dubs mil jate ha.... Girls bahaut pehle se hi Kdrama aur Kpop se familiar thi jaise boys Hollyewood movies aur hiphop se, abhi bas social media me baate zyda hoti ha, different platforms me data mil jata ha influence samajhna aasan ho jata ha........Agar Western content consume karna aam baat ha to Korean content dekhna bhi same hi ha
Exactly!!
problem yeh h we're only consuming but not doing the same thing, we're just subject to others , we should also build our own Industries ,brands and Softpower to compete with them
@-IGRIS- Very true....
I'm a boy. I hate Hollywood. Only watch Anime and Korean drama.😂
@@GauravK-u6d haa main bhi ladki hu, cricket dekhti hu, marvel movies dekhti hu... I was just playing to the stereotypes

The K wave is not limited to K pop but also things that need to be mentioned
Korean food
Korean fashion
Korean beauty/skin care brand
Korean sauna
Korean makeup( known as aegyo sal makeup)
Korean drama(always getting popular in netflix)
Korean technology
Korean language
Korean culture
Plastic surgery
Korean tourism(mostly due to it's pop culture and film industry)

Indian never undrstand how to make cinema and tv show . The story telling, cinematography, character build, etc. are way above the indian directors.
Your video was top notch like everything was to the pointtt!!

Yay! Thank you!
@@vyremedia mention not, hehe 🐧✨
Thank God I am immune to this virus since beginning
Virus is Islamic Bollywood
Good for you then
But u affected by American virus😂

thankuuuu sooooo much for this enriching video!!!!!!!!
there is a big problem, the way small cultures have been destroyed by western culture, in the same way, our culture is very big but gradually it will also end. indian girls are trying to become what they are not by giving up what they are.
Before reading this my intention are not to heart anymore sentiment and feelings 😢❤ but
It's attraction of colours and nothing
Even in india people don't admit that there lord's skin colour was “saawla"
in our film's or serial and many more thing because they think making lord sawla = Black 🖤 can't be the good thing
I know there are various reasons of liking Korean culture even I admit all this thing but the only reason our young generation is liking those things that are not made for us or related to us but they like it because of attraction of fairness and that white beuty
I was watching one girl waching how to make your body colour white
I mean making your skin soft and clear is good until you want to change what you are.
Again sorry if recognised you what you are 😢 SORRY 😔

It's really factual video, not any bias. People take it very seriously.
Long before Gangnam Style I already heard about k-drama like Full House and Boys over flowers. Little bride which was released in 2004 was my first movie.

Damn i didnt know most of the things in this video... Informative ❤

I was never into this k fever and now im kinda proud of it 😅

Idk why but i am feeling a connection towards south korea... i am 15yo boy and idk why.. i dont like bts but....
All this is cool but the only korean I care about is jett
What the hell is Jett now? 💀
jett dont care billo jett dont care
the only cinema which produces content like some of the famous k dramas is MALYALAM Cinema
Let me break it down point by point:
1. Korean Media over Indian media
Korean dramas and content are enjoyed by Indians, not because we are neglecting Indian culture, but because they offer strong, unique, and relatable themes.
2. Selective Clips
In the video, you included clips of you tube videos which were debunked many times due to their biased and misinformed points.
4) Generalization
Many Indians are recognized and Financially supported by Korean Government. (Unfortunately, they also face racism here on everyday basis and many a times i have witnessed it too.)
Racism exist in South Korea and i, in no way am trying to dismiss their experience.
bro , thats the trend which just goes , like hmesha se western culture dominant tha , covid time me sbse k dramas wagera dekhna start kiye and sirf India nhi bahut sari countries ne start kiya ,..........s. korea ne apne soft power ko inc kiya h world me , na sirf India ,just look outside India , you would see , people around the world are influenced, abhi new generations western se east traf shift horhin , itna serious hone ki jaroorat nhi ig sort of "will sk take over India " no😂😅, i didn't watched the whole video yet , just for the thumbnail .....so its just trend , it changes over time,.....yk the only thing constant in this world is "change".........India me na hi ek culture h and hi ek language , tho kisi 1 chiz ko promote krna will lead to disintegration....but hm sb ek step utha skte h by keeping our culture in mind , know our culture and don't forget it , baad baki entertainment industry (especially bollywood , esa lgta h hollywood h , lol"...usse kuch umeed mt rkhna).....its ok to like other cultures while staying true to your own....
Much needed 👏
No hate towards korea its much advanced than india but i just don't like most of their music not all though
We should do the same with our culture
Gangnam style craze was insane. Nice video 🔥

Nowadays Indian cinema don't have diversity in genre of movies and show they make so it is not engaging more people. No doubt there are some directors who are touching different genres but these movies left unrecognisble becoz of nepotism

And thank you for making such a informational video. Well Made🤓
And let's not forget the fact that India is the most respectable country in the world, even by the enemies.

Btw lots of Korean products in market because of congress govt stupid decision of free trade agreement with South korea . Even Bjp govt slammed cong for it . Only korea profiting from that deal , because of immature kpop fans , no gain for India
Right 👍
Always better to embrace South Korea's and Japan's softpower than American softpower. Those countries are influenced by dharmic religions.

@@Triveni-cq9ri@Triveni-cq9ri agreed, no fault of K dramas alone. But K dramas do have looks as a major USP ;so when you add Instagram to the equation ,you arrive at the inevitable conclusion:
" Instagram promotes apparent (external) beauty, thus creating favorable conditions for K dramas to thrive." S korea has toxic and shallow culture of ugliness = bad person; cuteness = good person; K dramas are promoting it.
