i should have lived in uk , france was so poor , especially in the south , backward in early 80s ,but there were few mags like (best) where you could be aware of the music scene ,Toyah was one of my biggest influence ,i found everything in her ,very interesting artist. je t aime beaucoup -=]['
In the early 80's, as an American it was difficult to be a fan of a British act. No internet, no news, no information about upcoming releases... My parents happened to be traveling in Britain when this program aired and watched it for my benefit so they they could report back. I was glad to hear about it, but it also made me froth with jealousy!! So very glad to see it today!
Toyah is one of the most interesting, inspiring and fascinating people i have seen on telly. Such passion and intelligent to with quick playful wit, They showed a clip of a guy who played her husband and i thought the comment Russell made was flippant and disrespectful. just because she liked him and enjoyed working with him doesn't mean she wanted anything else from him. I expect he was joking but i thought it was distasteful and unpleasant. I think Toyah is amazing in so many ways xxx
The early 80s uptight British audience didn't know how to take that if their silence was anything to go by. I feel like shaking my head despairingly. She was strangely both of her time as well as ahead of her time.
I think she's even more gorgeous now than she was. And she was gorgeous back then. I don't know if they're married but I know she's with Robert fripp. Brilliant guitarist. They look really happy together.
A total stunner then,and still is today❤♨️😎👍
Toyah is a beauty with talent and always will be a beauty with talent
Soooo true x
She’s such a cutie, always upbeat and always smiling.
She looks incredible here, I don't think she's ever looked better
Try watching the video of her single " don't fall in love ( i said ) She looks amazing in that video
@kevinrestall4467 Mmm yeah, I see what you mean
Adorable woman. Robert Fripp is a lucky man.

Hey John west You saying that think. A lot of your bands in the states.are. Good stuff
Great memories.
Toyah was so pretty and at her age she still has a figure any 20 year old would die for .
Loved her back then ! The B side side haunted was a fantastic song . Kinda lost the magic when her & Joel went there separate ways
i loved tracey ullman's take on toyah speaking with a lisp. :-)

I think she kinda looks like siouxsie Sioux with that look, but she looks good with her natural hair color, she was really cute during this time
This song sounds a bit like the Chauffeur by Duran Duran.
I can see Robert Fripp saying "is good to be the king!"
Powerful arm muscle at 0:37.

They got married in '86
I actually quite like this song, but I can't remember it. Definitely has a vibe to it.
Be still my beating heart
She’s always been hot! Even now at 60!
What was all that business of asking her about being a fat kid?
wea`r s
THE CATSUIT
XX
Who would have thought this creature would have married the creature Robert Fripp?
Bad lip sync
i love Toyah but that was awful miming x
She's always been a very beautiful lady. It's a mystery her beauty. The lisp was a nasty little piece of work by the media.
