Most traditional flutes beat the western flute, and dizi is one of my favorites. It is very difficult to make most ornamentations in the western flute due to the padded keys. Western flute sacrifices the beauty of sound for ease of play. Try to listen the ney (Turkish reed flute).. No other insturment sounds better. Just search as "sufi music".
