Excellent video. And we are so glad the wild horses are still there and roaming. Yes it was so sad but reviewing history is so important to our country and it breaks our hearts that so much of it is being destroyed. Thank you for the video and safe travels. Keep the faith. Kenny and Candy
Candace Walker Hi Candy, we were supposed to be there during the re-enactment but it was cancelled because of Covid. We didn’t really expect the park to be as special as it was. We had forgotten a lot of the history of the battle from our school days so to prepare for the video we read a lot and watched some people speaking of the battle and it was so bad, we didn’t want to tell all of those facts but it broke our hearts. We are so saddened about what is happening in our country today and what is happening to so many of our great monuments. Thanks my friend we appreciate you and your support. God bless you!
We had such a good time there and learned so many things. That's only about 4 hours from us here in SD. We took our foster children there and in the museum it shows all the different tribes that were at the battle, so they were able to look at the list and find their tribes listed there. It made the history of it so much more real to be able to experience it with them.
Very sad video and history of our great nation. We have been to Gettysburg PA and taken the tour and also self driving tour. Also a very sad place to visit.
RVacationer I agree with you my friend but I think we need our memories jogged once in awhile of our past to help with our future. Thanks for watching and God bless you in your travels
My granddad is buried there. 6th generation of the George and Tom Custer family. He was friends of Indians but as any military man, you have to follow orders. My grandfather served in the S. Pacific. I have been to the recreation as well and met a long lost cousin. Both sides and both stories are important. Thank you for letting us know.
CAMPSaints No Walls RVers That’s amazing, then the park is really, really special to you. It is a gorgeous area and we felt blessed to be able to visit but of course so sad for each side, no winners here. God bless you my friend
Someplace or Another It was terribly sad, but sometimes that is our history and we should remember. Love what you do on the road. God bless you my friend
Thank you Jessi for watching one of our favorite places, so much interesting history, it was a great day for us and an interesting area of Montana. God bless you
Great video. We were there just shortly after you two were. The park was full of history, but also full of sadness. At the same time, you captured the beautiful rolling hills that surround the park. We actually took our trailer all the way through the 4.5 mile drive. Not something I would recommend, it was a little narrow at some points if other vehicles were passing.
The Traveling Larsons Thanks so much Larsons. Sorry we didn’t get to meet. I think a trailer would be a little scary cause it was so narrow and the parking situation is not good to get out and view the signs etc. we loved the area and are so glad we got the opportunity to visit. Thanks again my friend for stopping by...l
It always amazes me that among the beauty of God 's created landscape the cruelty of mankind can exist. My heart bleeds for these young men on both sides. I guess man has fought each other from the time of Cain and Able and continues today. I just can't imagine the terror they young men (boys) went through in that field! Yes, the story is so sad, but I really enjoyed you sharing it!
Gary McClure Yes Gary and the even sadder thing is we know it will continue to happen and get worse, but we are encouraged as the old saying goes, we know what happens at the back of the book and we Praise God for Him being in control. We were to be there during the re-enactment with hundreds of soldiers and Indians recreating this event but it was cancelled because of Covid. But we are so happy we were able to visit the park and to learn thru our reading (not just at the park) about this event. It was a hot but beautiful day....thanks my friend. We are looking at coming home sooner because of repairs that are needed and we can’t get done here, we will be going to Tulsa(where we purchased the fiver). Almost a month early. We leave tomorrow for Dillon, MT for a week then on to Yellowstone, so some great things coming up God willing. God bless you my friend.
Wow, this is a great video. Thank you so much for this great video. Very well done.
Another great video. Thanks for sharing
Jean Decker Thanks Jean for your continued support, we appreciate you...God Bless you
