    This was a great video, really informative. What if you're using a commercial glaze which you don't know the properties/percentages of chemically? How can you know if a certain glaze is going to be a good match/fit to your clay body? Or is it just a case of repeat test firings?

    I use transparent low fire brush on glaze fired at 1040 on to an earthenware body bisqued to 1000. I'm getting crazing which is really annoying. Would trying out a different glaze help?
