I hope you get your skills back soon. Meanwhile, share that with your doctor. Since recovering from covid I have had spells of confusion too. I often try using the wrong key out of 7 on my key ring and stare at the burgular alarm not recalling the code. Cycling used to be second nature but it now needs intense concentration. I have stopped using the wok in case I walk away and forget it. Re. reading I have switched to audiobooks on youtube. But also....people who are mean.....remember that these people might not have much power..... but they usually have a little bit. I was just polite and smiled at the woman checking me in for my fight- and she casually ignored the fact that my bags were ridiculously overweight- and she was in her rights to charge me about 100$. she just....skipped that. My brain remembers just how hectic the whole world got, when COVID-19 was just entering 2020. It was simply devastating to understand, at first, but it’s slowly starting to die down, even though it’s best to keep our distance and ourselves clear, no matter what.
I refer to that as "the period when we thought we all were going to die." I have thought about it a few times and sometimes I get teary just thinking about how bad it was. It was A LOT - to go from the joy of "2 weeks working from home" to "WTF????" Things may not be perfect, but at least that period is over. It was BAD.
Wow. This is exactly what happened to me. Since December I've been in a brain fog; it's so annoying -- including, especially, the part about not being able to recall a word, when you could have easily recalled it before! As a person with seizures, this happens to me every time I have another one. It takes several days (sometimes a week) to recover. But over the years, the memory loss that was once small puddles here and there have become large oceans connected by rivers of loss. Names of friends from high school, events, special moments with cousins and families, simple words, my childhood, more, are gone. I only discover this when others try to reminiscence, or they show me pictures. During Covid, others struggled with this, but I was used to it. I gave up, and an hour later I tried again, and everything was freaking fine! WT-actual-F?! After breakfast once I put the milk in the cupboard and the cereal in the fridge. Came back at dinner to find the milk spoiled. This is destroying my life. And I haven't even bothered describing the physical symptoms.
But that game show was hilarious! I actually really needed that. 😆 😊
Hugs! I have a friend who had long COVID. She got better! Don't lose hope!
Also I had brain damage from a car accident long ago and I have problems with names and words, especially when I'm tired. So I think you all just got a little low oxygen brain damage and it'll take some time, but you'll be back good as new, or close enough, soon
Same. I had thought I dodged covid, but perhaps I had it & didn’t realize 🤔
If you need to rewind and remind yourself of what you last heard , you can replay on 1.25 X speed.
I agree that it is what one expects from Alzheimer's disease, only the contrast with before having covid suggests a connection. Good luck.
@@sharonsmith1783 sorry to hear that. sleeping (napping) helps me. The virus does attack the brain. Hopefully after the initial “attack” it will just take time to recover. In a year, we might all feel improved. One thing I’m not doing (because I currently don’t have the time) is exercising. I plan to start getting out & walking now that weather is warmer. I •had• been thinking of purchasing a bike, but since you mentioned outdoor cycling, perhaps I won’t. maybe there’s a higher risk of getting into a wreck ⁉️🤔
This was such a funny sketch and totally got how we all feel right now! Also I really love Kate's 3/4 length sleeve blazers, always such a good look
The "what's wrong with me answers" had me lol, also the apartment joke was very sad but true.
I have to admit, Jennifer spelling out her answer legibly with her tongue is impressive (gross, but impressive).🙃
I also love Victor answering her rhetorical question about what’s wrong with her.😅
Pretty sure it was pre-written.
Just wondering, is Jennifer's tongue scene a reference to that idiot who licked the toilet seats?
Yeah no, she didn't....
Wait, there IS a variant I haven't gotten yet, do I need to learn how to write with my tongue? Seriously, please tell me.
@@mbriggs020 they said Jennifer the character and not Sarah Sherman the actor. We're talking in universe here.
Kate and Sarah, I think they could make a powerful team of crazies in any type of sketch
I’m waiting for this 😭😭
oh God no. two different flavors of comedy. Kate's also known for being a generous performer which would mean all we'd get would be Screamy while she politely looked bored
This was easily one of the best SNL sketches in a very long time. How long… yeah I don’t really know.
"I'm worried I'm losing my grip on reality ha ha ha"
How did the writers get ahold of my diary?
You've got an appropriate username as well.
Your diary? I was wondering how they got inside my thoughts 😄

My mom works at a gas station, and she's found that most people tend to open their conversations with some type of profanity or threat nowadays.
(It's a real problem, ask anybody who deals with customers on a daily basis)
Wow.
it's true. if you literally just treat a customer service worker like they are a person deserving of basic respect (I'm not even talking about being super nice) they are so grateful :( So sad. I had no idea they had the power and wasn't trying to "get a deal"...but it seemed like she was just so used to people being ugly with her, that someone who was pleasant- I think it made her happy to a little power to make my day suck less. But we are all so stressed...and our brains are bad.....it's hard
I never expected to feel so validated and comforted by an SNL skit! 🙌🏼😂
@Tonald Drump Nope ☺️ if you could read I said I feel validated and comforted, in other words I feel good that people relate to how I’m feeling 🙌🏼
My heart breaks for all of you suffering from all things covid related. When we were on lockdown, I took my new puppy out for walks in nature and if a person happened to walk by, we each pulled our masks up. I still shopped double-masked and had a close friend to go places with. We were very careful. Neither of us has had covid - so far. And neither of us seems to have suffered from what so many others appear to have suffered. I send prayers to all of you to improve your lives. Much love to you all. ❤❤❤❤❤
What is the Covid-related mortality for non-elderly persons with no comorbidities??
Thanks for caring and being respectful. It means a lot.
The fact that I couldn’t remember these either 😂
the fact that I genuinely had difficulty answering some of these and one of my therapists has rejected me multiple times in the past 2 years lmaooo
Your a L
I love Bowen and his : “Heaven must be missing an angel.” It sounds like lyrics to song. But, he is talking about sleep problems.
"Heaven must be missing an angel" is a cliche pickup line, so it is actually something you'd say to start a conversation, and then he went off the deep end
Funnily enough there is actually a song called Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel by Tavares
@@geegeezlouis86 It low-key works as a synopsis of Angels in America, if you think about it. 🤔
Quite famous mid-70s song. It's the one in the Cameron Diaz dance number in Charlie's Angeles (2000). ua-cam.com/video/4lrA17X2aZs/v-deo.html
@@jiyu9277 It's awesome!
This is one of the best sketches in the 40+ year history of Saturday Night Live. There’s so much truth here.
the rest of the show was meh......, but yeah, this sketch hit me on different level.
100 percent agree. Funniest bits on snl usually hit very close to home
5:42 bowen's delivery of "when you talk, all i picture is the skeleton inside your head!" killlllls me and i know it'll be in my head like an earworm song for days
Yeah, I spent a week in the hospital with Covid last year, and this was like a flashback. Or yesterday. Spot on.
This weirdly made me feel so much better. I thought I was alone in feeling like this.
You're definitely not alone. I would say that we should all get together and talk about it, but that makes me feel so anxious I'll need a nap.
Nope, you are not alone. I’ve felt the same way… it’s good to know we are all in the same boat waiting for the storm to subside.
This is one of THE BEST SNL skits. Great writing, keep up the great work!
Jerrod's smile is mesmerising 🥲
My brain remembers just how hectic the whole world got, when COVID-19 was just entering 2020. It was simply devastating to understand, at first, but it’s slowly starting to die down, even though it’s best to keep our distance and ourselves clear, no matter what.
BA.2 has entered the chat
Yeah.... except for the people who's brains arent ok lol
There will always be a variant of Covid. We need to learn to live with it and stop freaking out.
I refer to that as "the period when we thought we all were going to die." I have thought about it a few times and sometimes I get teary just thinking about how bad it was. It was A LOT - to go from the joy of "2 weeks working from home" to "WTF????"
Things may not be perfect, but at least that period is over. It was BAD.
@@cmwashington imagine being married to a COVID doctor during that time.
The return of What's That Name 😂😂😂

Thought I was the only one who felt this way and everyone else was out having the time of their life. 😅
Love how they found a way to call back to “What’s My Name?”
Was looking for this comment.
Wow. This is exactly what happened to me. Since December I've been in a brain fog; it's so annoying -- including, especially, the part about not being able to recall a word, when you could have easily recalled it before! It happens all the time now, and it's very noticeable! I thought I had a cold in December, but I've been wondering for a while now...
How he said "Apartment" is how I feel every time I am within a 1/2 mile of making it home
So accurate! I laughed heartily then cried alone in my room clutching my blanket or maybe it was a wheelbarrow ...
5:14 "I'm sorry that's incorrect, your brain...not okay" LMAOOO WTF 💀💀💀
Kate's ALWAYS funny... Good cast, premise & writing... This was a great one!
Holy shit, the moment Kate said wheelbarrow i was like "ohhhhh yeah." I was confident it was a dirt bike
This has been my life for 30 years. I’ve had Chronic Lyme. It’s awful and I feel for all who are going through this.
Sorry to hear that. Hope things improve.
I feel ya...I have fibromyalgia, + other crap. Chronic fatigue & memory/cognitive issues are no joke, then add covid to the mix a few times on top of that! 😩Hope you get some good healing your way soon. :) 🤞🏾✌🏾
@@InfiniteSoulRoots I am so sorry to hear that. I was diagnosed with CF and Fibromyalgia for ten years before they figured out it was Lyme (our tests here in America for Lyme gives a lot of false negatives). I really have to wonder if there isn’t a disease that they can’t find in some of those diagnosed with CF and Fibro. I hope you find relief!
@@UBERTAMMY TY & yes...the "misdiagnosis game" is all too common unfortunately, & it's even worse when the illnesses have many of the the same symptoms! Good luck on your journey's. :)

As much as I’ve always loved to read I’ve not been able to focus for the last few years. 😕 Thank goodness for audiobooks! Just today I went to the library and checked out a couple books. Going to try to give it another go. 📚❤️🩹
"I got so anxious, I didn't respond and went to bed before 5PM" I feel you
This is actually a real game show now. It's called The Floor.
Great sketch. I laugh. Also, my brain bad post-covid.
@Tonald Drump sorry the tonald
This skit hurts, though it may be the most validating piece of media I've ever watched.
I literally feel like this everyday lol this skit is so accurate
Man....dead on.
@@TheWard1ne you're damn right it is lol

Kate is so awesome!
"My best friend texted 'birthday on a friday night dawg, what we doing to celebrate?', and I got so anxious I didn't respond and went to sleep before 5 PM"
Oh my god this is me. 😔
This was so cathartic! I had covid 3 times (3 different variants). I so relate! And, yes, I'm vaccinated. Other family members kept bringing it home.
The vaccines do absolutely nothing. Just look at the data out of the UK, Scotland, etc.
Yeah, I shudder to think of what would have happened if I hadn’t been vaccinated.
Kate's concerned look at 4:45 was everything
OMG😂😂😂😂
The wheelbarrow answer at 3:05😂
Jennifer at 4:40 writing with her tongue 😂
OMG This was the best sketch EVER! I ❤️ dark humor!
"Mushrooms" made me do a snort laugh
I yelled out lawn Wheelchair
These COVID sketches bring me especial joy.
Honestly Kate being the host is the perfect follow-up to the "Is It Working" skit
OMG…so perfect 🤩 exactly how I experience my days!!!
I think he needs to talk about it, the nation needs to heal😏😂😂
Well, I thought I was getting alzheimer at 42 but I can see is covid fault. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have two family members and a neighbor get like this after their third booster. Very noticeable how they changed.
I did a literal spit take when they said the friend's name was Derrick, "we have the same name?!"
Way too relatable!😂 They should do another one called "Long Covid? Crippling Depression? Or Both!!?"
Post op I had a bad reaction to anesthesia or pain meds. I was a lot like these contestants. They tell me. I remember getting a question on the month wrong. And my not knowing my kids name’s. Or my birthday.
Or how to punctuate: "kids name’s"
