I am a complete fan of hers, not for her music, TV work or her other ventures but because she an incredibly compassionate, brave young woman. In the wake of the Manchester Bombings she came back, still suffering with PTSD just weeks later and brought some much needed relief for all the young people, children really, caught up in its devastating aftermath. I remember watching it as a father with my two young girls, frankly amazed at her strength. I grew up with the constant threat of bombings, my school was even bombed and so I took that threat for granted. These kids did not have that experience to steel them and in a split second the security they felt was ripped away from them. She, along with all the other performers she brought with her that day, made them remember there is still so much good in the world. She will, for me at least, always be marked up in the good ones column for that.
I remember hearing she paid for the funerals of those who died that day, took care of all expenses. That made me love her more. I wish I could watch her Manchester concert for the first time again.
I am so sorry you went through that 🥺 I as well feel for her cuz I really can’t imagine her mental health after all that, and with everything else that happened after. It’s so so so crazy and heartwarming knowing she is battling through all this yet pushes to see the light, I’m really glad she has good support system and didn’t turn to drugs to take out her emotions, I feel like she learned that from watching the people she loved battle, and so glad she’s doing so much better
