Great video. New Girl Scout mom here and I love that you knew all of the laws and the flower names!

I LOVE the way that you put it: "This is a video for Girl Scout Dads." I like to help, but I'm not one who irons very much. (In Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, all the patches are sew on) This video was a great help to me when ironing my daughter's badges on. THANK YOU!
(Yes, I could have figured it out by reading instructions, but this was a lot faster, and the commentary was helpful.)

Very nice video! I like to see visuals before I do things, even after reading directions:)

I"m a leader in Canada so Girl Guides of Canada. I have been guiding since 2016 and probably have over 100 patches maybe not all are iron on but it might be easier than learning to sew. Otherwise I'm about to find someone and just say have fun with your machine because I want to look at a done blanket not one that is blank. I've got a row done but it's slow going.

Thanks for posting, my 6 year old is going to be super excited!
We used a Remington S5520 Anti-Static Digital Ceramic 1.75" Flat Iron and used an old t-shirt between the iron and badges and it worked perfectly. The tip about warming up the surface before putting the badges on is genius!

Thanks for the video. We have been a little bit lagging on the placement of these pedals and was put on a dad to do list. I guess if she hasn't earned one yet, I could always put duck tape over it until she earns it. Visual aids are always better than written directions!

The Daisies need to earn the petals (one by one usually) so you wouldn't iron them on all at once!!!
A parent in our troop made this same mistake and had to remove the petals.

Julie Trimble Sometimes, even when a parent tries to be active with their daughter, there are problems getting around to to things like the ironing. In our family, we always make the time to get to events and such, but sometimes things get misplaced, Our daughter is finishing 1st grade and ready to become a Brownie, and we finally just got all of her petals together and ironed them on at once. I was in a big hurry, so I was very grateful for this video.

+Julie Trimble Some troops hand their petals out at the end of the year instead of as they earn them, which he mentions at the beginning of the video. We hand them out one at a time in our troop, but I have heard of troops that make it a big award ceremony at the end of the year.

he stated that his daughter was becoming a brownie therefore i take it as his daughter did earn each petal

True, we just got the patches at the end....not ideal...but that's how it happened.
