There is a very specific reason why it’s more uncommon for visitors to be welcomed when they visit. I have lived both outside of Utah and inside of Utah. Congregations inside Utah are constantly being met with dozens of visitors each week from other words, from other states, for baptisms for missionary, homecomings and reunions, etc. The “visitor“ volume is so high. It’s pretty difficult.
Wards outside of Utah, on the other hand, don’t have “in volume” nearly the same level of visitors. The wards are often very small, and everyone knows everyone. That’s why visitors to church outside of Utah are greeted by multiple Ward members. It’s like having the Kmart blue light special sign above your head. It’s not that Utah Mormons are any less friendly, it’s just that in each ward in any given week, there are about 20 to 30 blue lights and they may just be people in the ward next-door that missed their ward or uncle coming to see their niece get baptized.

I didn't catch your name, but I see all the LDS materials behind you so I assume you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am also, life long, with sixty of those years in Utah. I'm offended you would say people in the Church in Utah don't make an effort to greet visitors. I most definitely do! I have personally been in conversation with some of our neighbors who are not part of our Church and have moved from other states to Utah. They told me they have never experienced the kind of neighborliness where they lived before among non-LDS people as they have received since moving to Utah. Maybe you should look to yourself. Are you making any effort to notice visitors at church and then engaging them in welcoming conversation? To say "In Utah County the wards are so big..." (whatever the rest of the comment was) to even care about "more people" shows your perspective. Don't paint with such a wide brush your negative perspective. And, I am turned off by the money marketing of your channel!

You are welcome to watch other channels that don't turn you off. This channel isn't for everyone and if it isn't for you, that is fine with me.
