    proper technique and execution... thanks for a video with no narration/soundtrack... some basics in the description would be helpful... weight of clay , measurements, etc.... I did scroll through the comments and saw the responses but it is more straightforward to anticipate these sorts of questions and just include the info when posting... (-:

    I've just started adding a coil to the inside of joins. It helps so much. I also like your use of a card as a rib.

      Hi Mallory, Great. it will make your piece stronger. I use cards a lot. It's easy to find an old one and it's perfect for ceramic. I'm happy to help.

    Hey folks, I'm new to air dry clay. Just to be sure, Yuki made the pieces, let them dry completely and them assembled them, is that it?

    Hi! I love this video it makes me want to make one I have a Q, how do you not get it to crumble and stuff cus when clay touches water it like desolves do you use oven or glaze? And what can I use if I don't have an oven or glaze?

    • @yukiceramics
      @yukiceramics  2 роки тому

      Hi! Yes, this pottery was fired twice. First for the bisque firing and then the glaze firing. Maybe you could try air dry clay. I never tried it but it might also dissolve with water.

    It’s lovely. What kind of clay have you used and how much have you taken?

    • @yukiceramics
      @yukiceramics  2 роки тому

      I'm using stoneware. Sorry, I don't remember exactly how much clay was used. Next time I will weigh it first. Thanks for asking

      Hi Katia, the tools I used for score is handmade, easily done with a tiny nail, an old pen and epoxy putty.😃

    Hi, Can I ask how long did you left the clay between the round boards for to make it abit harden?

    • @yukiceramics
      @yukiceramics  10 місяців тому

      Hi, it depends on your environment, whether it’s more humid or drier. I don’t remember exactly how long I left it, but I would say that I prepared it the night before. Probably, I left it covered during the night and left open in the morning. But, as I told you, it depends. I suggest you keep track to find out the right time in your environment.

    Hi the clay appears to be dryer than leather hard.?.

    • @yukiceramics
      @yukiceramics  10 місяців тому

      It is dry enough not to bend but still wet enough to join with other parts.😊

    Are all squares the same size?

    • @yukiceramics
      @yukiceramics  2 роки тому +2

      Hi Olac,
      The four sides are the same size. The base is the side size plus the thickness. Example if your measurement is 10x10cm and the thickness is 0.5. the base will be 10.5x10.5.
