I still remember watching this match on CRT TV, almost 15years ago, when I was in 4th grade. Damn Yuvraj is nostalgic
Yuvraj is not nostalgic, watching him now feels nostalgic for you... Fucker
nobody talking about vvs laxman best support. vvs was awsome that day too. yuvi was michel bevan of the subcontinent
No one talking about vvs because this video is about yuvraj. Check video for vvs and no one talking about yuvraj there. I think it is obvious in those days that vvs always belted the aussies whenever he played them home and away so no need to mention even. VVS was always taken for granted in those days. He was so good.
@@husainjam yeah VVS was Exceptionally well nd One the players who was a big threat to the aussies(Includimg every nation)...
Yuvi was Yuvi. He did enough to earn his own identity. Need we describe every great Indian person or thing as just an Indian version of someone or something Western?
And Yes, VVS was the most elegant batsman of the last 30 years.
The time when scoring hundred was great achievement because of quality of bowlers
Totally agree with you buddy that's why Sachin's 100 centuries is more precious than any present batsman's centuries
I always called him Michael Bevan of india. Fan of yuvi from pakistan
Michael Bevan was a match winner in one day cricket for Australia but in ability and class he was nowhere in front of Yuvi Paaji..
That bat swing of Yuvraj is like a poison, totally kills me when ever i watch his innings.
There are many great left hand batsman like Lara, Hayden, Sangakkara, Ganguly, Anwar that I seen but Yuvraj is Something Special because of his hitting sixes ability and his felexibilty
@Aman Viroja dude, no one of the above has ever won a man of the series in Worldcup, no one can bowl like yuvraj except ganguly, and coming to Fielding I need not say anything.
Elegance and timing.. Only Lara and Sangakkara are similar in that regard to Yuvi.. Rest are just powerful strikers..
At the age 22 he hit 22runs in 49th over of a ODI before T20 revolution note that😘
Well, I played club cricket and believe me he's not 22..they are all overaged.. On paper he might be.. Even Pant, watch his photos at 18 looks in his early 20s
yuvraj's real age currently is 42. At that time he might be 26 not 22
Forget about age....in those days scoring more than 20 runs in one over was rare and big thing

Manish Pandey is a better batsman than Yuvraj Singh because Manish Pandey scored an unbeaten century against Australia in Australia in Sydney SCG while chasing 330 that in his fourth ODI of his career.

Sachin and Yuvi are the jewels of Indian cricket.
You may say Kohli and Dhoni are also but I place these guys at a higher level.
Yuvi plays as handsome as he is.
Best Left Handed Batsman Ever in ODI Cricket ....Superb Inning against Australia in Australia.
From Pakistan, and in my opinion he is in my top three most dangerous batsman of all time (who could single-handedly takeaway a match), along with Kevin Peterson and Mathew Hayden.

If you don't believe then watch Vinod Kambli batting in Test and ODI Cricket highlights back in 1990-1995
Rishab pant also almost 22 years old but believe me he is not even 10% of 22years old yuvraj....miss you paaji♥️

yuvaraju is india great batsman number one batsman our world was king of lift hand batsman more then matches win for yuve
Yuvi along with Dhoni most brutal hitter of cricket ball in their prime, both have won india more matches than anybody else.
Sachin Tendulkar is & would have done so but India had a trash team at that time & many times his efforts would went into vein.
Virat Kohli has just started & has won many matches for India. He still has a long way to go & I think he might be the one who won most Matches for India
You've obviously never watched Chris Cairns,Adam Gilchrist,Nathan Astle or guys even further back like the great Viv Richards. All of them are far better hitters of the ball than Dhoni or Yuvraj.
Chris Cairns was one of the biggest and cleanest hitters of the cricket ball you could ever see and he is up there with the best in the game, past or present. He hit 87 sixes in tests and 153 in ODIs,thats more than Haydens 82 in tests and 87 in ODIs but less than Gilchrists 100 test sixes but he beats Gillys 149 ODI sixes. As for Astle? his record is hardly one to sneeze at! remember his 222 vs England in 2002? it's still talked about 16 years later.

One of the stylish and brave player yuvraj.we will miss him in 2019 world cup
He'd still be a great asset for India in ODI's.
He's modified his game.
He no longer throws up his wicket.
Instead he takes his time to settle down and then he plays his shots.
Maybe that's why he's not a massive hit this IPL because unlike before he now likes to spend some time on the crease and then play his game.
This is what helped him clinch numerous games for India in the 2011 WC.
And well he could be a boost further on.
Forget the IPL, he's had a good domestic season, at least good enough for him to get selected for the upcoming Bangladesh series.
Till then, keep faith.
+Rishika Malik I agree with you but with the current crop of players very hard for him to make a comeback and the age is not his side as well.
+Jerry Arora Dude,Instead of Jadeja,Axar, rohit in the side....Yuvraj is the best option....He has the ability to handle pressure quite well, and having a senior player like him in the side will raise questions in the opponent's mind....

Forever YUVIAN ❣❣
Best yuvi PA's inning...thanks for uploading it.
His average was pretty average back then.. But then averages doesn't justify a player.. He is the most impactful player India has ever produced..
bro, he used to bat at no.6 till 2003 world cup. even till the time this match was played(january 2004), he was consistently given chances at no.6. he came at no. 5 in this game because sachin wasn't playing in this game, which allowed ganguly to open and all of them got up in the order by one position. it was in january 2006 vs pakistan, where he was the man of the series, i still love his 107 runs knock in the final odi of that series when he was having a niggle. after that series he of man of the series vs england as well.
after 2007 world cup debacle, sehwag got dropped and when later sehwag made a comeback, ganguly, dravid, laxman were dropped from odi teams, which allowed yuvi to play at his most preferred positions, no.4 and no.5.
don't count on average, not outs contribute a lot to some batsman's average, like in case of dhoni, no doubt he was a good batsman but he was never someone like a run machine like sachin, ganguly, dravid or kohli to average this high, watch his test average for instance.
coming back to yuvi's point, he had a career average of 36 in odis but has 27 man of the match awards in odis(only behind sachin, ganguly and kohli) and i think fourth highest among indians in man of the series awards in odis. he also has 7 or 8 man of the match awards in T20Is in just 58 t20s.
had he been not diagnosed with cancer, he could scored atleast 3000 runs more in odis, could have played nearly 100 T20Is and about 65 tests(he played a good knock of 62 against england at lord's in 2011 and had a wonderful partnership with Dravid until stuart broad broke india's back with a hattrick, although harbhajan fell prey of poor umpiring)
Those days they don't had any field restrictions and they had an additional fielder outside the circle unlike today they can keep only four outside the circle which makes batsmens life easy. Yuvraj is nothing but one of the all time greats according to me
Golden commentary days. ♥️♥️♥️
Miss those
These are the men who actually played in enormous grounds, a six here means something, current day games are played by boys in small grounds where mishit goes for a six!!
