Hello, yes I think there will be data which can be negative, for example temperatures, negative marks in some competitive exams, in physics velocity acceleration force can also be negative. In economics also I think growth rate can be negative. In such cases there will not be problem of different common difference. For example , if we have following class intervals -5 to 0 0 to 5 5 to 10 etc... The common difference ( class size ) for the first class interval will be 0- (-5) ( upper interval - lower interval ) which is 5. And for the other class intervals also we will get 5 as the difference. Hope your doubt is resolved...pls let me know...

From my point of view, inclusive class intervals have no importance, because as in given example we write first class from 0 to 5 and next class 6 to 11, hence 5.5 not lie in both these intervals. So I think inclusive class intervals are useless. So always we have to make exclusive class intervals. Am I right? Next question, why we study inclusive class intervals, I think we have to study only exclusive class intervals?

You may try a question which has inclusive class intervals and calculate mean first by converting to exclusive,and then without any conversion...you will get the same means value... For the second question, i have tried questions where we create class intervals and frequency distribution from raw data...it's always easier to create inclusive class intervals because we don't have to worry about excluding the upper limit value from that class interval. We can include both the class limits in that class interval...so I think in real world,data is collected in the form of inclusive class intervals also....but if any other viewer has any other information on this question,pls share in the comments,so that we all can learn... really liked your question !! 👍👍👍
