Our forestry sector now produces more CO2 than it absorbs. And Coillte, the biggest manager of forestry resources has a lot to answer for, not only regarding emissions, but in terms of bio-diversity loss. They plant trees like carrots - as cash crops, not as forests that serve the land and people. I put questions last week to Ms Marie Donnelly, of the Climate Change Advisory Council, at a sitting of the Dáil Climate Committee.
