So before going any further, I decided I wanted to see the trailer. Because with the election of Donald Trump, you have media that jumped in bed (Fox opinion host), media that has slowly been inching there, and those who remain neutral. Let me say, reporting on this joke of an administration and holding folks accountable doesn't mean they're biased. So if CNN and MSNBC stick to facts and they're not favoring this White House, they're anti Trump and fake news.
Unfortunately, Americans still tune into Hannity and the despicable others to get their news. When one lady was interviewed recently, wearing her MAGA hat, she had to be reminded Trump said he could shoot someone in the heart of NYC and get away with it. She said she didn't believe it even though video and print exist.
So why does this situation matter with Ukraine and Russia's strong arming Crimea? Unlike most senators and representatives, I have read a good part of the Mueller Report. And based on the sophisticated nature of Russia's social media disinformation campaign, I would imagine they really polished that up before with Ukraine being a good testing ground.
I know from doing my owm research that in the simplest terms, Putin somehow thinks he can just take part of a country's territory that isn't his, using military assets to do it.
Why do the people of Ukraine not deserve safety, peace, and freedom that every individual should have?

Another propaganda movie, that focuses on insignificant details of behind the scene political tensions and struggle for influence in Ukraine between the US and Russia, to basically put the blame (at least partially) for this crisis on the US, and completely ignores the most essential part - The War. The movie want us to forget that it was Russia who invaded the sovereign country with thousands of masked soldiers in unmarked green army uniforms and carrying modern Russian military weapons and equipment. It were Russian soldiers and their rebels "volunteers" who have destroyed Ukraine's infrastructure and killed thousands of Ukrainians. It was Russia who has supplied modern weapons to "rebels", and then shot down plane with 298 people on board by a surface-to-air missile transported from Russia on the day of the crash. It was Russia who occupied eastern territories of Ukraine. It was Russia who annexed Crimea.
This movies perfectly illustrates how all Russian propaganda works, it makes people think and talk about all sorts minor details and disputes that exist in grey area of international affairs, and make us all forget about the core of this issue. The core of Ukraine's tragedy is not geopolitical competition between great powers, political disagreements in Ukraine, or behind the scene chess play, as these kind of propaganda want make us to believe. The core of this tragedy is Russia's military aggression, illegal occupation, annexation of territories of sovereign state, and the pain that they brought on the people of Ukraine with their criminal actions.
