Thomas and the Pioneers.
The first time I saw my handsome husband . God bless him still the humble man from then.💥❤👑🇯🇲🎤🙏
hi Mrs smith
Congratulations on being the wife of such a great artist. He said that the first time he left Jamaica 🇯🇲 to perform was in Guyana 🇬🇾 and as a Guyanese I’m proud of that. Salute 🫡 Dennis Alcopone.
You are a very handsome couple Mrs Smith. An absolute diamond catch you have right there. 🌹❤

LOVE REGGAE, ANY SORT OF REGGAE....As long as it is REGGAE....THANK YOU JAMAICA for giving the world Reggae❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes, 100% agree thankyou Jamaica for bringing rude boy ,ska,to this country.
Reggae was and always will be ahead of it's time..
This is just so incredible to listen to & watch. Feel good music!!!
A master of his art in action.
WAWA SHE WAWA !!!!
While it might sound simple, it was still one of the greatest moments for music and to create vibrations like that is a form of art. Leaves you with shivers down your spine. Listening to the tune Cassius Clay since decades - will never stop to do so. Love, only love.
I was just thinking the same thing. Most non-Jamaican bands had trouble falling into a reggae groove, but in a more typical song it's easy for a close listener to find the fours and see how the skank fits in. "Cassius Clay" is broken down to a much simpler level, so the finding and the counting get a bit more challenging. This band is smack on the money.
Nice to see My Granddad in his Prime.
Ron Smith happy birthday to your granddad
Ron: He, I presume, Dennis, is great.
ronsmith+ seems on form that day;that hour fresh as dangerous

BBC Radio London Robert Elms talking about Dennis today during his Brixton Town Hall visit, a good excuse to listen to Dennis again and see him. Love youtube.

Have you ever seen anyone as naturally cool and sure of himself, or as smart. You can see exactly where the late Ranking Roger got his style from. It is absolutely mesmerising to watch
Dennis used to give me a lift to Upton Park to see the Hammers play.
Judge Dread could hardly contain his excitement... wish I'd been there for this one

I think this was filmed at the Empire on South Bridge, which was demolished a few years later
It was part of the 'Edinburgh Pop Festival' that I promoted at the Empire Theatre ( now the Festival Theatre ) over the 3 weeks of the Edinburgh Festival.1973 That night was sponsored and curated by Trojan Records and my friend Michael Appleton filmed it 'live' for the BBC 'Late Night Lineup' M8chael was the producer of the OGWT.

judge dread did some of his songs in the break lol brilliant
#DOPE
Phenomenol
Uh, is this incontrovertible proof that rap started in Jamaica well before early American hits like Rappers Delight? I'd say so.
A lot of rap pioneers like Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash and Bambatta had Caribbean backgrounds but rap goes further back. Black Americans were rapping in the 50s and 60s.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✊
mek meh cry cry. For real!
