This is my first time watching your channel. I’m subbing. This was fantastic! I learned some things and you made me think. Early on, you contrasted Jairus’ faith with that of the centurion. I think the fact that this ruler invited Jesus into his home is also important. In doing so, he was making a statement that could cause him a lot of trouble. It might also validate Jesus’ ministry in some way in the eyes of the people. I didn’t realize the woman was the only person he called daughter. I wonder if he did that to show that this woman was just as important to Jesus as Jairus’ daughter was to him.
How would folks know that she was healed or cleansed if he sins bring the crowds attention to what happened… her testimony was important! Her forgiveness from the community was important!
Judges 11:31 is tough, no doubt. Jephthah’s vow shows the danger of rash promises, not God’s will. It teaches us to trust God, not make reckless bargains. God Bless
