1:30 Pete motions, "me?" after sauntering in and hearing that he's the one who has to carry her out. Pete seriously became the funniest character in the series.
I love how it's all serious and then it turns into absolute comedy once you see Pete Campbell enter in the background all like "WTF happened to her?!" and then later you see him gesture to himself like he's saying "I have to move her?!" This scene is so clever and funny! I love this show.
@Gregory Smith Don is the leader that's why they bother him and he handles it correctly cant make a huge fuzz about it when they're in a meeting with clients.
Addendum to this scene: shortly afterwards Don and the blonde are talking to Sally in Don’s office and Meaghan walks past and picks up Blankenship’s shoe in the background.
Making my way through season 4 and just finished watching this scene. I cannot stop laughing. Pete as "the man" sorting out the problem and wheeling her out sent me over the edge. Hilarious.
The last part of the scene, moving her on the chair, which would be hilarious itself, is instead viewed through the glass wall of the meeting room, Don and the rest being just props. An effortless tweak that doubles the value of these couple minutes.
I am honestly glad I am not the only one who finds this funny. Like she just checks out, out of nowhere, still sitting up in her desk. And Don doesn't seem that upset just slightly annoyed like "well, shit..."
Don couldn't help with moving her. It was obvious to everyone in the scene. Remember, he's in a meeting, and he's needed there to make the Filmore guys not realise that someone just died there, so when Joan called for a man, that wasn't a dis against Don.
I was very surprised to find out that Mrs. Blankenship was played by Randee Heller, the lady who played Daniel Larusso's mom in 'The Karate Kid'! She should absolutey get an Emmy nomination!
Maybe call her next of kin?!! Jesus, he goes back to pitching with the dead body of his assistant in the background. And i thought my hoss didn’t give a shit 🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️
she needs to go get a man... with don draper standing RIGHT next to her. and if not him, grab roger. pull ken out of the meeting. you don;t grab pete campbell! if someone;s wearing a frumpy skirt that needs to be commented on, then you grab pete campbell
@Aeolis7 i saw her smile and heard her voice and i thought "i know that lady came out in something else!" and then i realized it was mrs. laruso!! haha
Is it wrong to find this amusing? I mean she kind of looks like a Thanksgiving turkey with everyone gathering around to discuss how it should be dressed.
She was born in 1898 in a barn. She died on the 37th floor of a skyscraper. She's an astronaut.
Said by the man who later died whilst watching the moon landing!
That was a FANTASTIC line
The changes people saw in that time span were amazing.
I love that Joan immediately volunteered Harry's blanket. Everybody hates Harry lol
Harry was a complete and utter douchebag. So glad people dismissed and derided him lol
Yeah Harry sucks
@@steverogers7601 Is he insufferable? Yes. But I did respect how he helped out Paul Kinsey during that Hari Rama thing
@@aarengaud oh yea sure. We can respect good deeds while also not respecting or liking the person.
@@aarengaud Right after he fucked his girlfriend lol, truly a great friend :')
Oh and, it's Hare Krishna*

Not great, Bob!
@videogamedunkey official keep saying it
@@LilyLinko Not Great Bob!
The funniest part is that they grabbed Pete Campbell.
literally came here to say that

MY MOTHER MADE THAT. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLL!!
Best line in the whole damn series! LOL!!!!!!!
Harry who dun it
@@bumrush9422 That's not true. The best line in the series is: "Not great, Bob!"
What did that mean ?
I love how they got Pete of all people to help with the body.Seeing his skinny ass help push Mrs B was comedic genius.
Even when dead, she steals the show!
Joan should have been specific and said "Get a STRONG man."
Mokkari77 that's what being a man is: strong. Not like betas and cucks nowadays
@@Jules-cv3tq so i'm a beta that's shitting on other betas? I don't think that works but then again I'm not the expert here
@Gregory Smith Don is the leader that's why they bother him and he handles it correctly cant make a huge fuzz about it when they're in a meeting with clients.
Joan has a really nice ass. Just a FYI.
@@GX2re Did you watch the clip? They have clients. They want to keep this quiet.
Addendum to this scene: shortly afterwards Don and the blonde are talking to Sally in Don’s office and Meaghan walks past and picks up Blankenship’s shoe in the background.
Her death in the workplace is truly unfortunate & sad, but damn it all this is the funniest scene in the show’s entire run.
Cosgrove is all like" WTF?" so funny.
joan says get a man and they get pete. he makes monty burns look like mike tyson.
Okay, that line is just gold! 😂
@@MsDonttrythisathome why thankyou
That ever so subtle jab when Joan outright rejects the ambulance in favor of the coroner.
seriously.....just trying to imagine Pete's reaction and what he would have possibly said......I can't stop laughing

Never have i ever watched a more gripping tv series like Mad Men!
Same here
I was watching this on a train and laughed out loud.
"Megan, get a man...."
And she gets Pete lol
Weekends at Blankenship
0:26 Don's face: "You fuckin' with me?"
Honestly, you could put this in any comedic sketch in the U.K. and it will go down in folklore. It’s that funny.
I am honestly glad I am not the only one who finds this funny. Like she just checks out, out of nowhere, still sitting up in her desk. And Don doesn't seem that upset just slightly annoyed like "well, shit..."
The funny part about this is it's going to happen to every single one of us someday !
Yet another reason why Pete is my favorite character in the show
"Get a man" and Don's right there!! LOL! And then who do they get? Pete! Probably the most fastidious guy in the entire office!
Don couldn't help with moving her. It was obvious to everyone in the scene. Remember, he's in a meeting, and he's needed there to make the Filmore guys not realise that someone just died there, so when Joan called for a man, that wasn't a dis against Don.
Yes, but Don has to return to the meeting and Joan is astute enough to how their business works to realize that without being told.
One of my favorite scenes ever.
Mrs. Blankenship had the best was such a crack-up. So sad that she is gone.
Don probably did the right thing in order to not having this meeting to be interrupted by a tragedy.
0:50 😂😂😂😂😂 Elizabeth Moss trying not to laugh
The question is did she have a sick sense of humor before or after she converted to Scientology?
She’s been in Scientology since she was little.
Harry crane, you just made my day 😂👌
Don's brain: stall, stall, for the love of God stall!
He wasn't even listening. They could have gotten his approval for literally anything at that moment.
I haven't laughed that hard in a while.

Shut up really???
@@bethanycook8124 yes, she played Ralph Macchio's Mom in "Karate Kid".
this was the funniest TV death scene since Mrs. Hufnagle was crushed by a hospital bed on "St Elsewhere".
D-did that happen?
That's straight out of Fawlty Towers right there.
my god, talk about a tough day at the office..........
Detective Cole Phelps is in this scene.
Seems irrelevant to the case.
I hear ya. I have lots of thought about the character's fate.

The funniest thing about this clip is that it's preceded by a Barbie ad. I guess even little girls dig Don Draper.
Cause of death: Don Draper
“Poor thing.”
Megan looking like a SNACK.
My mother made that!
I am really going to miss her!!!!!!
what are the odds that Elisabeth Moss tried to hide a laugh at 0:50?
1:05 somebody didn't mute their phone on set
LMFAO I CANNOT STOP LAUGHING...
I would love to have Harry's mother in an episode.
Funniest scene ever! (= I couldn't stop laughing.
