I'm still eyeing this in China rom as it's really in my range. I do wonder about the AI assistant, though. Mostly to set timers or alarms. Can the installed AI do that when speaking in English, or do you need to get Google Assist or Gemini for that?
@@demoneyeslaharl BlueLM doesn't appear to recognize commands in English. I've tried a few different times. Sometimes it'll recognize English questions but is unable to complete English commands so far. Gemini was able to complete the command but it was due to me having the Google clock app installed as well.

@@Gazzalot thank you! The only other setting that I changed Settings > Home Screen, Lock Screen & Wallpaper > Home Settings > Home Screen Layouts. I changed it to 5x9 to allow more rows of apps and more apps on each row.

Quick question - does the Vivo come with a full screen translation app preinstalled? Oppo and Oneplus have an excellent one and I don't think I can now have a phone that doesn't include it (app store options are nowhere near as good as the one that ships with Color OS)
@@al201103 Jovi or BlueLM may have offered that feature but I uninstalled all of the native Chinese apps when setting up the phone. Let me find and reinstall it to test. I'll update you shortly.

There is also not an app on the sidebar on this phone. So it doesn't appear to be an option in OriginOS right now.

My Vivo X200 Pro is on its way! (CN ROM) I have the iPhone 16 Pro Max now and I’m😡😤!! Apple gotta do better! I think they already cooked though! “Well done,” said Vivo! I think I saw pictures of Vivo and them eating iPhone cameras with a fork but they threw the tele in the trash about 25 times. Apple is reaching but Vivo is teaching, picture that!
@@CBHR7 Yeah, since Apple built such a solid platform years ago, they have struggled with making any real innovations outside of their chipset and battery. Their phone is really good but not very exciting. Other companies have really stepped up and started making exciting phones and Vivo is one of the more impressive ones. I'm need of a mobile i considering this vivo x200pro Chinese version. My concerns are google wallet contactless payments banking apps here in the UK. Will it work as usual?
@@tuluva1 I just tested out contactless pay using Google Wallet and it worked just fine. I did have to set a quick toggle button in the control center to open wallet quickly to pay. I'm not sure if the phone will default to Google Wallet if I put it up to the scanner without opening Wallet first but it didn't work really well.

@@aumedn8198 I can't say how much it'll bother you but I've been able to ignore it. All of the settings are in English and all of the apps that I have are in English. Sometimes the native apps would pop up with notifications that I wouldn't understand but I uninstalled them all and no longer really see notifications in Chinese. So it's not bad at all.
The Chinese ones are cheaper and the software is great but the fact that you can’t use WearOS smart watches is a deal breaker for me. Rather pay a little more for global version.
I like that case on the right. Now that you are addicted to this phone, I'm waiting for you to get the Huawei Watch GT 5 so it works with your phone haha.

@@Truth_seeker-bl5mi I agree. iPhone is still the best way to go for videography. It is still the most stable and consistent. Most big UA-camrs still use the iPhone for recording B-roll videos. Vivo does photography better in my opinion.
Even with global version you'll have to tweak it some to get it running normal. This phone aggressively closes apps. 😂 I still love it tho. And software is definitely limited on the global. SMH

That's weird that it's happening on your global version but the phone is so good that it wouldn't even bother me that much. Lol yeah FuntouchOS is definitely limited. Hopefully it'll get better with time.
It's more so with apps that need a accessibility to function like dynamic spot and my gesture which enables more swipe gestures. I regular use these ap PO s with nova launcher.
I want to get a phone while im still in Europe so I can take it back to the US. Vivo X200 Pro is my top choice, but i hear the Ultra is gonna come out soon, on top of that One Plus might accounce something on the 7th
@@birdz9252 Yeah, the X200 Ultra is supposed to be announced soon but no word on when yet. The OnePlus 13 is set to release in the next week or so. I actually want one to see what OnePlus is like. OnePlus would definitely have all of the Google Services, if that matters to you.

Fun fact but Vivo makes a smartwatch that looks very much like the Pixel watch. I have no idea if it's good or not, but it's less than $300 dollars so it can't be too bad🤷 Right now I have the Global version of the Xiaomi 14U and the Chinese version of the OPPO Find X7U and honestly I don't feel like the Global version is worth the extra money. The Chinese rom is fine. Unless someone just needs android auto. Watches and ear buds it's probably better to just buy straight from the company. I'm hoping to pick up a Vivo either end of the year or early next year

@@RomeReviewsTechit works on my OPPO Find X7U too! Honestly I never really use it, but I tried it on the vending machine at work and it failed, but I used it at the ATM at my bank and it worked perfectly. So yeah it does work on Chinese ROM phones

For video, still think Iphones are best.. but for photography vivo is the best...os is also now good on vivo

@@rohitRraina I need to test the stabilization a bit more before I can answer this question. But so far it does seem to be lacking a little bit.
You have to have very steady hands to be able to record quality usable hand held video footage on the X200 Pro. Especially at 4K60 for some reason.
After update video stabilisation is much better
