What a simple, inventive method to knit plating on a circular knitting machine. I was thinking it would be a good way to use 2 thinner strands to make a thicker yarn.
I'm learning so much on UA-cam tutorials like yours. I have addi machines and a Sentro. I also have a Singer. Thank you for sharing. I didn't realize how much I would be able to make on these knitting machines! What size yarn are you using please?
Hi! Do you have any ideas on how i could work with mohair on this machine? I wanted to mix a base wool with mohair but what ever i try... the mohair is always on the back of the panel (so the inner side of the sweater is cozy but the right side looks really bad 😅) Sadly the trick in the video didnt worked :c
I"m in the middle of working with bamboo and mohair, making a cardigan. I think I figured it out after watching this and playing around! Make sure your mohair is on the bottom, then put your other yarn in on top in the straw. I cut mine length wise and actually put my yarn inside rather than making a valley. (Fits in my addi feeder) I'll explain the best I can since I can't post a pic, make sure when you are holding your 2 yarns, keep them coming straight out, rather than off to one side. I put my main yarn (mohair that's on the bottom) between my ring and middle finger, and the top yarn (secondary yarn) between my middle and pointer finger keeping them pulled straight out. I also noticed, the straw has to be lined up exactly with the end of the feeder. I tried it poking out some/farther back. This SEEMS to be working, I haven't taken my project off the machine yet but I'm seeing way more of the bamboo vs my mohair now on the "wrong side"
I have used all kinds of brands of yarn, haven't had any trouble as of yet with any of them. You might have static in the room which can make yarn go through more difficult - try spraying static guard around the machine and yarn a bit before using.
where I an get this wood stuff that holds the machine or what I can use to improvise. I have hard time to handle the machine that keeps moving, it really compromises the project.

How could you better stabilize your Sentro? Creative idea for working with two colors.
I flip an old wooden stool upside down and put my Sentro in/on it, it fits my particular stool just perfectly.
Love it. Thx
Upside down chair is genius. Using the machine hurts my Back can’t find the perfect spot to use it.
What kind of yarn does your Sentro "like"? I just got my machine and it doesn't seem to do very well with a lot of yarn...so far. Any suggestions?
