    I'm 80 pounds overweight and am desperate to lose weight. I eat like crap and am always hungry and binge eat almost everyday. I have tried eating like this for the last week, and let me tell you that I have never experienced the feeling of complete satisfaction after a meal and like a miracle the constant urge to eat is gone. I feel like I can finally eat and stop when i'm full and don't feel the need to overeat. I could cry as I'm writing this. I finally feel like I can do this. The constant food noise in my brain is gone. Thank you so much for your videos! I finally feel like I can tackle my weight problem and get my life back.

    I've been vegan since 2019 and I have always loved watching vegan fitness channels with tips and recipes I'll never use... but then I found yours! Your tips are so simple and common sense that I've been able to start implementing them immediately.
    I'm actually hopeful now.
    I've been struggling to dial in my health the last few years. Lack of sleep, constant neck and nerve pain, brain fog, anxiety, depression, and loss of motivation have been driving me mad.
    I know I need to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier. I know I need to cook at home more. I know I need to exercise more often. The irony is- I love doing these things! Sleep is the best thing in the universe and I love the peace of early mornings. I enjoy cooking and I've been known to go "hard in the paint" at the gym.
    So why don't I do these things?
    I must be lazy.
    But now I have hope that I can still find the energy to change.
    I just need to stop pushing the boulder uphill.
    Dumping a bag of frozen veggies on a tray is easy! Tossing tofu in the air fryer is easy! Microwaved potatoes? Yes, please! I even have the Ninja Creami and you've inspired me to start using it again. I trick myself into getting up in the morning to work out by saying, "If I get up now, and get ready as fast as possible like I am running late, and I am still tired after I am ready for the day, I can take a nap." So far, no nap. 😊
    It's only been a few days and my silly brain is already anxious to see the results I know will take months. This video has inspired me to implement another change: reward the journey. I will try to find a way to reward my good habits so I stop trying to hold my breath until I lose 20 pounds.
    Thank you for making health content that is the most simple, sustainable, and approachable I've ever seen.
    Best wishes for your continued success! ✌️

    I am consistent when i am home and in my set up environment. At the moment I am learning to stick to it when my boyfriend is home, always just a few weeks, then gone again for sometimes a few months. I got him to like my component bowls and for the first time he said he is looking forward to them when he is home

I been watching for a long time and I appreciate your content and your personal self discipline, something I always need more of (but I get help sometimes, including from you). You make getting to better health practical, so as you can tell I appreciate what you do. I’m also writing for the first time because I looked you up recently and realized there’s some personal information about you on the Internet, which you probably already know. I was concerned because you do choose to show your kids and stuff. I know I don’t know you, but I do care. You’ve helped me over the years. Thank you.

    Hi Chelse! I've been following your breakfast and lunch diet for a while now, but the one thing I still struggle with is which exercises are best for weight loss, so I was hoping you could do a video on that with maybe a gym routine that has helped you lose weight. Thanks! ❤

    • @abbigailcarr2725
      @abbigailcarr2725 18 днів тому +1

      That’s a really difficult thing, because there are lots of variables that make minute differences in calorie burn during exercise. And I’m sure it would be great to see what Chelsea Mae does to give you ideas and get you inspired! But imo this is something to also keep simple. You don’t need to get bogged down by minutia if you’re a beginner or getting back into a fitness regimen. The best exercise is gonna be the type that you enjoy and that will make it easier to be consistent. I recommend getting a membership at a local rec center. It’s usually cheaper than a normal gym, and then you can “shop” the group classes and see which ones you jive with best, plus it’s invaluable to have an instructor there to help teach you how to do exercises correctly, and it’s like a built in accountability system. The instructor and other people in the class will come to expect you to show up, and even if you’re not that competitive you’ll push yourself harder during the class because you’ll get a little bit of that instinct to be competitive. I did this right before losing 20 lbs. I tried Zumba, strength classes, circuit classes, HIIT, water aerobics, Pilates. I learned that I didn’t like HIIT and circuits were hit or miss but that I loved dance and water aerobics and lifting weights. Walking daily is also a surprisingly impactful way to increase the amount of calories you burn on a regular basis, plus it’s a good excuse to get outside and get some sunshine. Which is amazing for the mental health and most people in Europe and North America are deficient in vitamin D in the winter. Start with like 15-20 minutes and listen to a podcast or audiobook or even a tv show you’ve seen before. The time will fly and then you can increase from there as much as your availability allows.

    I am definitely in the second category. My biggest struggle is with having the desire to eat my prepped healthy meals 😭. Even if it’s easy, reasonably tasty, and ready to go, I struggle to keep myself from ordering delivery instead. I really hate eating cold potatoes or microwaved reheated foods, it’s extremely hard to find a prepped meal more appealing than freshly made food.

    • @nathalie8441-x4p
      @nathalie8441-x4p 24 дні тому

      I had the same! I think it's also a bit "100% on vs 100% off" mentality. What could you change in the healthy version to make it tastier but still working towards your goal? Maybe go through a transition period, e.g., have the healthy bowl with an "unhealthy" topping that you like and then decrease the "unhealthy" topping after some time while building the habit. The taste buds will adjust in that time :) or maybe change some more components in the meal? I don't always like mircowaved potatoe, so I mix it up and airfry them in small pieces. Same with tofu. Same calories, but such a difference!
      A third option is to order take out, but then only eat half and to still have some broccoli with it like Chelsea does. For the days on which the craving is too strong.

    What do you do to “treat” yourself ? Like if you’ve been stuck in the house with the kids all week and you get a moment to get outside of the house for an hour just to get a moments break. My go to is to get a sweet baked good and a latte and enjoy reading a book I like in a coffee shop. I’ve been trying to just enjoy a black coffee but it is getting harder and harder to do. I think I need to do something that doesn’t revolve around food or drink but I also don’t enjoy shopping . I go on walks daily, so don’t really just want to walk again. I just don’t know where to go to spend an hour by myself that doesn’t involve food or shopping or a park .

    I get hung up on some things, so perhaps you can clarify. First you say, don't eat nuts (high calorie), then you say "don't eat oil, but eat nuts and seeds instead". So which is it, nuts or no nuts?
    Then, a pound of wholeweat grains is 500 cals, but if I run those through my mockmill, add water and yeast and bake it, it suddenly becomes 1400 cals by calling it bread? How does that work?

    • @nathalie8441-x4p
      @nathalie8441-x4p 24 дні тому

      valid points. I agree the video could have been a bit more clear about that. I think the message is supposed to be "generally, be careful with nuts and seeds, but feel free to spinkle a few grams on a meal whereas oil basically always should be avoided". Oil is much more processed and has a much higher calorie density than nuts and seeds.
      Regarding the bread, it's also more processed and it loses water through the baking process. Not all of the fiber in the grain is accessible to our digestive system (hence the calories are there in theory but they don't count as our body can't use them), but they become accessible through the processing. The yeast transforms some of the nutrients, too. Plus, there are often some other ingredients added if it's store-bought, but even if not, you can see why the calorie density changes. And the numbers of calorie density varies a lot depending on the bread because there are so many different types.

      You said you eat all the time and gain weigh , no surprise there , stop eating all the time and control how much your eating , not everyone can just eat as much as they like and also WHAT food are you eating ? Cut out oils and fats you don’t need it if your carrying fat on your body , portion control of things if you eat meat etc , use your hand to guid you for portion size , meat is the size of the palm of your hand , veggies 2 fist sizes that’s it per meal , if you gaining weight you need to identify what it is your doing .

      In my experience, I had to push for about two to three weeks of eating no salt at all, which tasted blunt. I added tons of spices, cumin, curry, pepper, basil, etc. By the end of about two weeks your taste buds adjust and it's no problem at all. Now I have the recommended half a spoonful daily and don't need any more. In fact, other people's food is too salty for me now. I rarely eat out, though. Restaurants add not just too much salt and oil, but also other substances like MSG.

I got to a point where I just forced myself to eat these foods that I didn’t like because I knew they were good for my body and keep the processed stuff out of the house. This way my tastebuds changed and after a few months I actually liked the stuff I hated. The number 1 thing being blueberries and radish, used to hate both, radish used to make me urge, now I eat both daily and enjoy them. After a couple months I had a chocolate cake and it was nowhere near as good as it used to taste. And I used to eat that cake a couple times a week before

    • @90daydifference
      @90daydifference 28 днів тому

      Let me give some actually useful advice. If you don’t like the vegetables then skip them. There’s nothing in a vegetable that will improve your health that you won’t just get from meat and possibly fruit… Vegetables are super useful for low calorie filler and just having variety to help you eat MORE meat. Meat is really the goal. If you eat only meat, then eat meat with sufficient fat content since you’d have no carbs. Fyi, carnivore really is not sustainable for people who’ve been eating carbs all their life, just saying. If you eat meat and vegetables/fruit, you should go leaner meats so you can have more total calories to spare if weight loss is your goal. Meat is the ultimate prize, fruit or starchy vegetables probably next, vegetables are honestly dead last in the food hierarchy in my opinion. But I personally eat vegetables and it allows new me to increase the volume like crazy and not be hungry for the non sense food, so use it as a tool.
