Great Hard Off with some decent prices. No doubt! That Garou Densetsu was at an excellent price! And I like the Japanese Phrase of the Day! Great idea!
Whilst not the same retro stuff as your regular content, in my recent Japan trip I spotted an Apple //e with a single 5.25" drive at Hard Off Kitaterajima, Hamamatsu. ¥44,000. Hamamatsu is somewhat off the regular tourist routes, so you'd need to be keen if you want to grab it!
I guess sometimes you strike out on the hard-off hunts. definitely some cool things there like that blue dragon 360? also I learned some years ago doing a stick swap is actually relatively easy it just unplugs and you can replace it no issue.
Yeah, it definitely happens like that sometimes. It's always good to go in with no expectations. No kidding? I'm glad the N64 controller stick is so easy to replace.
Did you confuse the location you visited? This is Hard Off Shizuoka Higashi (says so on the door 18:25). Take your time with the captioning as well because a few spelling and misidentification issues slipped through. (You captioned a PS1 memory card as Crazy Climber, for example.)
I find they will often bag everything so learning to say you dont want a bag is very useful. I don't know if it was the best way to say it but i would say 'fukuro ii desu.'
Yeah it was like that still a few years back but these days you have to ask for a bag because they don't offer them anymore. You can't get a sturdy straw or a plastic bag these days. 🤷
Location Correction Shizuoka Higashi Hardoff 😅
Shizuoka! Good stuff man this area has been on my wishlist for a while!
It's a big area. Thanks man. There was definitely more I wanted to explore. Never enough time in the day.

I'm glad to hear it. If there is a phrase you would like to know drop it in the comments next time.
