This looks like a lot of fun with a serious message behind it. Reminds me of "The Prestige" but with a different, more humorous, take on the ethics of cloning. Parasite is a favorite of mine, one of a few of my favorite all time non-English language movies. It's so good and a film everyone should watch at least once.
It looks really fun, the book was a romance comedy and this looks to be similar. Bong as you have said always finds ways to sneak in the philosophical, political allegory and darkness into films with out of the box plots, so I think this will be a great adaption.
I’m not a fan of the Joker comparison. Mickey-17 does not look derivative at all, and Bong Joon Ho is one of the greatest directors of all time. This is going to be an era defining film.
@@TTVTheDoctorJay I know it sounds like an exaggeration, but when people look back on this decade of film, I believe that Mickey 17 will be one of the first films to come to mind. Bong Joon Ho is a master…
@@TTVTheDoctorJay I know the tone of the trailer has thrown a lot of people off, but don’t let that affect your anticipation. This is going to be as existential and thought-provoking as Parasite or Memories of Murder. I think it’ll get very deep amongst all of the comedy
How’s your Wednesday going sunshine 🌞 also how is nanny Di doing sending lots of hugs 🫂 🫂🌻🫂☕️🌞please tell her to get in the garden 🪴 she really enjoys that sweetie ☕️🌻☕️🌻👋👋👋👋
"It looks original - thank god" Couldn't have said it better myself.
I’ve read the book, and you’re right about the deeper levels. Watch the Korean version of the trailer and you’ll get a bit more of a hint of that.

Just had a thought, I'd love to see Michael Keaton revisit one of his 90s gems, "Multiplicity", to see how those guys are doing now.
this will be brilliant

It was a throwaway reference … as I say at the end … thank GOD it looks original - NOT derivative
