Big ups to Richard for requesting this, these guys are criminally underrated in my humble opinion. Funny in the beginning you bring up that they must be good since Richard is a producer - the two (Stephen and Audun) actually met in college when they were both studying the fine art of music and ended up graduating with a degree in it so these guys really understand music theory and their music really reflects that. I feel like that is a large reason as to many describe their music like sugar to the ears
Dude what that's so cool! I'm very late but if you were able to I'd love to find out more about the production and the way you guys recorded the record. I fucking love the album so much you have no idea

Watching this is like watching a 1 episode series, cause you know that no more her's songs would ever release, and you're like the only youtuber who I saw reacted to their music. Thank you for recognizing them and giving context to their songs. They're my favorite band.
So cool to see someone listen to one of my favorite albums for the first time. When this album came out I was so excited for it I skipped my first period class to play it on repeat in my car and I'd give anything to hear it fresh like that again. Thanks for allowing me to live through your first listen with this video. RIP Stephen, Audun, and Trevor 💞
Man I’m so glad you did this. Thank you for your thoughts, this band means so much to me, and I’m glad someone I’ve been following for a while made a video on this album. Much love and hope all is well with you and yours Doug.
you should really listen to songs of hers as well, it’s a stark contrast at times to invitation to hers but it’s all so great. thank you for going over this album, it’s was wonderful seeing someone talk about this band that I hold so dearly haha. I also loved how deep your analysis of the tracks were, awesome dude.
It's like stepping inside a burgundy colored corduroy cave. It's dark but you feel this red light envelop you and its warm and nice but you're still left with an emptiness inside your heart. It's bitter sweet and it makes you happy but rips out your heart at the same time. And that's the closest I've gotten to put what I feel for this band and this album into words...
No problem, it was my pleasure! Is there any way for me to get in touch with you? I saw you requested a video, I'd like to be able to let you know personally about all the details
One of many marks of a great band imo is you may not like a song on the first listen, but there's enough there to give it another listen and then years later your favorite song of that band changes. That is hers for me in a nutshell. Creative minds but cool lyric and performance. Even cooler live because their energy is infectious
Thank you so much for doing this review, their music has been such an important part of my life the past two years, and I've been seeing a lot of people enjoying their music recently, and it makes me so happy.
thank you for keeping the bands memory alive. they are something I've been so passionate about since the beginning. I appreciate the objective perspective on my all time favorite album, and I hope their music made you smile
only 7 months late to this video but I loved it nice work. personally for me, she needs him, breathing easy, and under wraps all bring me to tears and are my top three songs they ever made. long live Her's
how funny of you to talk about their drums like that because they actually used a drum machine instead of real drums and that choice comes across in the music
I didn't monetize the video but it did get copyrighted. If you see ads during the video, all that revenue is headed to the artists or their label!
She needs him is such a great song
What once was, She needs him and Marcel🙌🙌
Glad u enjoyed it Doug, Rip to Her's, they're amazing ⚡
Really great stuff
11:33 as soon as you said those words, my heart pounded. My absolute favorite song by Her's. Golden song I'll never forget.

Wish your vid didn’t skip so much🙄
Its just to prevent a copyright strike.
Bingo!
@@AE-rp1hm sincerely curious with what happens with those copyright rules? Do you get fined or suspended or something??
You don't get any of the revenue for your video, and in some cases it gets blocked worldwide
@@DougAraujo oh wow that’s wild…happy to see your reaction to hers👍 wish they were still around to make great music
