I would love to see a video with ideas for a field trip lunch. Everything has to be disposable & possibly some ideas for not creating too much waste. :)
Hey! I recently just started making my lunches in 5th grade, I know, some people may be surprised but my parents never let me make it. I love your videos so much and your such an inspiration for ideas! Totally gonna ask my mom for new cupcake thingsmajigs, whatever they’re called! :) Tip I’ve found: For your homemade uncrustables, if you want even more protection for the fillings, take a fork and make indents all the way around! This creates a barrier so the peanut butter and jelly can’t escape! Love you! Bye bye! :D
thanks! As a single adult I always scouting for nice small lunchbox ideas that are partly at least having healthy things half things that are less healthy or nice and warm.I m having malnutrition so I have to use 5 times a day a not so nice tasting fluid nutrion drinks but are allowed to have one of them replaced by whatever I want but needs to be bamanced and small tiny portions. This way you do kids lunches I can take it in my bag on my way eat it in nearby forest enjoying nature.I have a smalk small stomach so I can t eat much but love the taste of a lot of foods.I ll keep following all your playlist with foods in them.Love
I love the muffin cups! For some reason it's more exciting for my kids when I use them. And their cheap on Amazon! I need those thermos for my boys. Such greaf hacks!
My kids don't like lemon on their apples either, but salt water does the same. Soak in salt water just a minute and rinse it completely off and you would never know it was soaked in salt water and they do not turn brown at all. I even cut up apples the day before for a fruit tray for a party and people couldn't believe I cut them the day before.
@@ambersawyer6305 No certain amount, probably just a teaspoon? Doesn't seem like it takes much to do the trick. I honestly just use the shaker until I feel like it's about a teaspoon or so per a bowl of water with a couple of sliced apples. 🍎😁
Omg I love you guys so much and your videos... I'm 13 when I grow up i want to do this... I want to be such a great mom like you Jennifer you are such a big inspiration!! I hope I'm as great as you one day❤❤🤗🤗
I learned that if you heat the bread for a few seconds in the microwave before using the tool to seal/cut-the borders , it's going to seal it way much better :D and also the bread won't crack 🤗
To keep the apple from browning do the same water technique, but ADD some honey as well. I’ve done just lemon and just honey. Combining the two with some water is the way to go! I peel and slice my apples for my kids and I can keep them in a bag in the fridge for like 4 days b4 they even start to brown. Jennifer’s idea for the way she did her apple was great! The slices is just a bit quicker and easier for me.
Another great video! I love the way you reconstructed the apple! I always quarter them and put a rubber band around them to keep them together. If the lemon water makes their apples too sour, you can also use lemon lime soda. Now, I'm off to order that sandwich sealer!
Thanks for the video! I love the freezing the sandwich and other items idea. Making the sandwiches in advance would really help with saving time and eliminate the ice pack! Nifty!! So, my favorite lunchbox hack is to pre portion all of the lunchbox sides and snacks over the weekend and put them into baskets either in my pantry or in the fridge, if they have to be refrigerated. Then, when I'm packing my lunch I can easily grab the sides and snacks required. This keeps me from packing too much food and helps me plan for lunch better every week. Plus, I want to have at least one vegetable and one fruit with lunch every day and this prep work makes certain I have what I need each week. I've been so much happier since doing this! Thanks for all the ideas.😎
Have you thought about freezing yogurt? I tried it a few times and even it if it's not completely defrosted, you end up with this yogurt slushy, it's especially like ice cream if you have greek yogurt!
So approximately how much time do you spend on packing a lunch? I packed my kids toasted waffle, leftover apple syrup, strawberries/blueberries, chicken sausage and pudding. That took me 18 minutes which seemed like FOREVER (and I had one less lunch to pack today)!! And, there was nothing cute about it, no picks, no note, not even a drink. I did cut the food into small pieces which was the extend of my looking ahead. I would love to do more of these style of lunches but I cannot fathom the amount of time and clean-up involved. Kudos to you!
Yes but I recommend putting the thermos on the opposite side of the ice pack for obvious reasons. I always tried not to use an ice pack when I would pack a thermos just in case whatever I had in the thermos, became lukewarm. You should be okay though, as long as it’s not directly on top!
@@Thefamilyfudge so for how long can it be kept in the thermos without it getting in trouble with it spoiling when the schoolday is a long one like with teens who can have days from 7 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon?
Your tips have been so useful! I appreciate you sharing them! I love how you find an alternate use for the sandwich containers too, may have to try that 😊 about the thermos though, does it stay hot by lunchtime or lukewarm?
I like to give my kids the older ones the bread meat mayo or mustard cheese all separate and let them make it there selfs. It gives them a chance to put what they want on the sandwich.
I have a question where can you get those plastic bento containers she uses? not the metal one but i have been trying to look for them at stores and can’t find them

Any specific ratio for salt and water? :)

Thank you I love the tip for keeping apple fresh and not brown with out being too sour.
I use to have that cutter and I didn't know that the center piece was to seal the sandwich. Thanks for sharing your tips.
Thanks for the neat tips. Never new about the lemon an water for the apple, an that you can freeze apple sauce.

Early Fudge! Love you guys so so much ❤️❤️✨✨😍😍
My lunch box hack is instead of using lemon juice is using pineapple juice not only do you have a beautiful apple also a very tasty one!
Great hacks! Will use all! I previously learned about the peanut butter on both slices, jam in the middle from one of the #PhilipsFamBam kids too!
my kids love these lunches
Love. Bento. ♥️
Btw, pineapple juice also works to prevent apples browning, and tastes good. =)

Do the thermos keep the food warm even when using a frozen pack for other foods in the lunch bag?
