In the current range of cars in the similar segment like Creta, Compass, Kia, Harrier..... Hector is a clear winner according to me. And it's not a Chinese car, but a British Car with a 100 year History.

Yes.. I have seen both... Hector way better looking.. Looks like a proper beast... And those AUDI style turn indicators:)))..... Seltos looks like a makeover of creta.. Sit in 2nd row and u will feel lack of space, light and even air

KIA has got the style both outside and inside and the design lines flow well.
I am not sure how drivability is better in Seltos v/s Hector. I test drove the Hector Petrol DCT, the Seltos Petrol DCT and the Jeep Compass Petrol DCT. I am no professional driver but Hector gave me the best experience in terms of pick up (very smooth and hardly any lag as called out by many) and zero NVH levels as compared to Seltos and Jeep Compass. Even when I tried to accelerate Hector was better and smoother than the two where the drain was being felt and the responsiveness was sluggish in Seltos and Jeep Compass. With Over The Air (OTA) updates, the lagginess of the infotainment system can be addressed whereas Seltos does not have that feature at all. This point was missed out as a key differentiator between Hector and Seltos.
I think you missed kitna deti hai ,I have bought kia seltos GT LINE one week before and I am totally satisfied with this kia product.

My choice , MG. You should spend at least 2 minutes talking about MG's sunroof. It is huge. Tiny sunroofs like on Kia and on almost every other car is completely useless. Either have a big one like MG or none.

Even Seltos has excellent features like HD 360 camera, Ventilated seats, Bose 8 speaker 🔊 immersive sound system, Wireless charging, reclining rear seats, 60:40 full folding, drive and traction modes, UVO voice commands having 57 features with OTA updates, smooth steering, beige and black dual tone crisp interiors with HTX variants.

You missed to compare miles per charging and battery charging time. Any extra batteries provided ? What's maximum speed ? How's acceleration ?

HECTOR is any time better than Kia seltos. 😂😂😂 Hector is bigger, specious and that massive sunroof and screen, Boot space ❤️ seltos is nothing but like creta... Don't compare it with hector... MG offering 5 years unlimited kilometers warranty and Road side assistant... What about kia seltos??? Why I should buy compact SUV in 21 lakh rather then I get proper Suv with more features in 20 lakhs.... So hector is clearly winner.

In hector petrol automatic giving 11-13 in hybrid

Petrol manual hybrid is giving good 12-14 and diesel is giving 15-16
So this is a request totally out of the box. I have requested a lot of channels and auto shows but none could help.
I use a wheelchair as I am a quadriplegic (spinal cord injury) and I am paralyzed.
I used a TATA WINGER for about 8 years which I recently sold.
I am looking for a car, MPV or a 7 seater in India which could be useful for people with disabilities.
Ideally, I would love for my wheelchair to fit in my car whilst I am sitting on it. However, if not that, could u suggest which car I should buy where shifting in and out of the car is easy(Remember, I can't even stand), low entry & exit, wide doors, good head space, boot space and a 7 seater.
Toyota hiace would fit in but it's too expensive and isn't available in India yet.
I'd be grateful if u could help.
May be you should wait for the KIA Carnival launch probably begining of 2020. Which is 7 seater and have a sliding door for the rear which will suit you the best. Tc😊

Hi Kranti, another great comparison. I have some questions regarding seltos. For a person with not that high budget like Seltos GTX + DCT variant will you recommend to buy Seltos HTX 1.5 petrol IVT model? Or can you recommend any other Automatic SUV in the same budget line as of HTX IVT model. Your review compares mainly the power delivery of GT series so if you can review the HT series with Petrol Automatic one since its already available for test drive it will be great. Thanks

@@crich0tlin3 i have driven the IVT twice.....good pickup....but during overtakes it takes time...rest it is really feature loaded except safety equip like ESP ,hill assist,VSM.....rest the car has all features....it is really good in handling....no jerks in IVT.....IVT is really excellent in the budget of 15.5

Sir ji, review iOS only about features. What about handling, braking efficiency, no.of air bags ,abs, off-road drive capabilities and comfort in rear seats, hill assist and so..... For a vehicle of Onroad prize range of 15 to 20 lakhs ,costomers should be offered safety and more comfort level.

Hector is much better.... Not in pics/videos, but on real road Seltos is meh and Hector is awesome looking... ALSO abt the Pull... Seltos eats dust... Hector got 350 nm and Seltos has max 250.. hector can beat it any day even with full passenger load...

Sir why rear spoiler called spoiler does it really spoils the car please answer. Also I think Seltos has done the right thing by giving small sunroof in India we don't need that feature in regular city or urban areas only when ee go to hills occasionally that time it's a good feature but we pay extra fro a mechanism which 90% time is useless. Yes in India some great intelligent people are there who make their kids stand on the car with their head outside the by opening the sunroof but that's not the usage of it. Yes Seltos is worthy winner not only tera times drive but other comparo also saying Seltos is the winner

did you know that seltros get 23000 bookings and mg Hector gets 28000 bookings and 55 % people purchased top variant of Mg Hector and mg claim that after 5 years you get 60% resale value and kia cannot reveal this type of statement like this so mg Hector is a value for money car and it is 21th century every year 5 to 10 suv will be Launched after 5 to 7 years If You like any other SUV So you can sale your old SUV like mg Hector then you get 50% to 60% resale value but you buy kia seltros then only 35%to40% resale value will come back and mg Hector gets all safety features same as seltros and 2 to 3 extra safety features that seltros can't get and about sunroof so panoramic Sunroof feel like you sit in a luxury car and your car cabin feels airy also.
so MG Hector is better than Kia seltros or not
it's not necessarily about opening the sunroof.. The big glass and the light entering the cabin gives any car a roomier feeling whether or not you open it. Personally i like it and yes you can't dare to open it in NCR at least.. Agree its not a very useful in terms of VFM to be true but again it's a personal choice.
Seltos ahead of Hector any day. Only if you want a BIG SUV or some additional fancy features than Hector is for you or else Seltos is easily the better choice among the two.

@@TimesDrive The clutch will not engage fully if you release the brake and just crawl without pressing the gas pedal - eventually the clutch will wear out leading to expensive repairs.

Top version of Kia Seltos should have been offered with 2.0 litre CRDi diesel engine instead of 1.5 litre diesel. But then even the 1.5 litre diesel is also on par with 1.6 litre diesel engine of Hyundai CRETA in terms of performance
