Just started weaving yesterday when my 14" Beka loom came :) Decided to try some of the things you are demonstrating on my own :) so glad I found your video, now it all makes sense.
Ah! I get it now, took a second for the "wait for the popped up warp" to click. Our super lovely weaving instructor, here in Orkney, says, "Take care of it on the way back" and either saying really helps! I was always sweating over that seemingly rebellious warp! :-)
You're welcome Mindy! I'm doing a new blog series about tapestry weaving and sett which is also an important basic concept. (March 2018). www.rebeccamezoff.com/blog/2018/3/14/sett-what-does-it-have-to-do-with-tapestry-weaving
Thanks Rebecca. I have taken Beginning Tapestry twice over the past 5 years but do so many other things that I don't get much done with my tapestry and my memory stinks.
Sure Paige! I do so extensively in my Warp and Weft online course as well as other online courses like Weaving Tapestry on Little Looms. There is other content on my blog which is free also. But the online class will give you the best explanation. Happy weaving! Also there is a free UA-cam video about meet and separate, so keep looking. This video isn't specifically about using meet and separate.
@@RebeccaMezoffTapestry I'm gonna check your videos to do my rug. Because navjo's video here is rare. And nobody explain it.So that's why i'm asked you if your technique is the same of navajo.
I'm not sure what you're asking about Emetsi, but you can find more information about my online classes on my website and if you search my blog for "Four things", you'll find a posting with the little poster about this. (it is free) rebeccamezoff.com/online-learning/

This video was simply outlining the things that I see people struggle with the most. I teach all of the answers in my online classes and you're welcome to jump into one of them to find all the answers. This blog post that went with this video may also help further. rebeccamezoff.com/blog/2017/11/29/four-things-a-tapestry-newbie-needs-to-remember

I don’t understand the meet and separate still. Could you explain it a different way?

Awesome.
Is there anyway without taking a class you answer problems for beginners?
I would like to know if NAVAJO(rug) telling you something? Is it the same of to do tapestry?
Hi Julie. I'm not sure what your question is, but Navajo weaving does use tapestry techniques.
