Just an update: Most of the girls are medically boarded out from the academy and some of them had officially withdraw, from academy. 12 out already; 7 Remaining (Girls cadet in NDA) Why to waste the seats of the prestigious, National Defence Academy?

My dad is an officer in the military, a great position actually. Enormous undeserved privilege and a sense of discipline was fed to me from an early age that's why I guess we take the army life for granted. I do acknowledge it though, my dad worked so hard and was amongst the toppers in his batch and literally pulled himself and our grandparents out from the cycle of poverty. I know a lot of people are going to try and push this girl completely under the rug of nepotism and I agree to an extent that she has had the exposure of what military life is like and was honestly conditioned for it but lets not let that take away all of her credit.

Am from army background too...my father and grand father were lt.colonel in Army......my father so wanted me to join army but unfortunately earlier girls weren't eliglible for NDA exams ( am 22 now)....plus bcoz of some health issues i couldn't make it......so i switched my profession to CA....but am happy now upcoming girls are getting these opportunities

Edit: she was in punjab Zirakpur, her father's posting while her prep , she ofc cannot find the best coaching there. She got 98.4 in her 12th boards , also she was able to get admission in Lady Sri Ram College , she is bright student its obv , so cracking the written exam wasn't much different for her , she did get privilege/opportunity in her interview as she was mentored/got tips from two army officers tho.

We should really appreciate people who crack entrance exams who are not from military background and have no idea about this world. Comparatively, she(at least) have an idea about the struggles which cadets have to go through during the process so she will be mentally prepared but for those who zero knowledge and still survive and pass with beautiful colours, it is a proud moment. Of course it does not mean that there were no efforts from her side, it's just about the mental health no hate
