Thank you for being so helpful in the information and background that you give. It truly means so much to us as we’re trying to navigate learning about them individually and as a group!! 🥰
Also, there is a KQ produced short called diary film. It provides a bit of back story to the characters and the first meeting with Halateez. There are some parallels between those characters and what’s happening in the trailers. But it might be worth watching that-especially before you watch the Inception MV because it gives some context to that video.
I am by no means a lore expert but things I can tell you. Ateez have three sets of albums. Treasure series, Fever series, and the upcoming World Series. Chronologically Fever is first, I am not certain if Treasure or World is next. There are Ateez the pirates in this universe. There is Halateez (guys in the black fedoras) who are the Ateez members from a different universe. They have a thing called the chromer (it’s the glass hourglass). It allows them to time travel and universe travel based on moon phases. There are the white masked men chasing them for the chromer. World seems to be set in the world of Halateez and focused on their rebellion. In that world human emotions and the arts are bad and forbidden because human emotion is to blame for war, violence etc. Halateez start a rebellion to free the arts and seek the help of our Ateez pirates. I know the movie Equilibrium is a big inspiration for the dystopian world along with some others. As you go through the discography you will see Halateez and the Chromer often. Also, in their happier/brighter songs the members are almost always sleeping at some part. This series of teasers also reveals that the Rhythm Ta stage in Kingdom was important. All the stages reveal storyline except for The Real. Also, the end of their TT Answer plays the music teaser at the end that is the beginning of the chapter 2 trailer. It IMO implies that this story is after Answer or somewhat simultaneous to it.
The fun thing is that KQ used guerrilla marketing to kick off this comeback. They put posters up around Seoul and Madrid (ATEEZ was in Madrid for a concert) with a black QR code on red paper. The QR code linked to the first video you watched. Later, when ATEEZ performed Utopia for The Show's 300 episode, KQ air dropped this music (ua-cam.com/video/hOEs8GokKT8/v-deo.html) to people in the audience who then shared it over social media. Pretty creative. Today they dropped a performance preview for Guerrilla, a song from the new album. Every thing always connects at some point. BTW, I believe the Morse code at the end of propaganda says "Eyes in the sky." 😮
Another amazing reaction, these teasers show you that Ateez are built different, having two movie quality trailers to tease the comeback. Super hyped for the comeback and your future reactions
I'm not sure if we'll get any more trailers, according to the comeback roadmap there will be a performance preview on the 20th and then "?" on the 26-27th and then something a day before the comeback that might be the showcase. If not then the story will probably pick up in the MV.
Thank you for the info!! We haven’t seen the roadmap so we just weren’t sure. We’re definitely keeping close watch on what comes out next so this helps so much!
I'm always in awe of people who can guess what a concept will be without knowing the whole story at all. So far you've seen two mvs, but your understanding of the lyrics and the trailers is pretty spot on. I could never. 10:40 timestamp of members. I know you said you'll do a guide, but here are the names of the members from left to right at this time: seonghwa- he's the one you kept talking about his jawline in the Treasure reaction. He was in Imitation, the show/drama you watched! In the drama he had gray hair and was in the group Sparkling. yeosang (blonde hair)- he's mc on The Show (korean music show). He's the one with the violin in the trailer and the one that turned the speed dial. Hope we get to see him play; I think he learned when he was younger. hongjoong (half black/half blonde hair)- his nickname recently is hongruella because of the hair. he's the captain. the one with the higher tone raps in Treasure and Pirate King. He's the leader of ateez, but second oldest member. jongho (in the back)- maknae. power vocals. he does all of the strong high notes in their songs; he had some great vocals in Treasure. He was also in Imitation. Hyuk in the group Shax. He had red hair in the drama. mingi (in front)- the other rapper. he has a deeper voice. he's the one that says savage in the Treasure mv. I know you haven't gotten there, but he had a hiatus from early November 2020 to July 2021 for mental health. He's missing in one mv (fireworks, i'm the one), but because ateez records a ton of stuff and prepares for future stuff so early on, he's still in all the songs from that album. but any lives/mvs recorded during that time period, he most likely won't be there. san (blonde hair)- he does often have high notes, but mostly in falsetto, but i dont think any in Treasure or Pirate King. he was also in Imitation! He was Minsoo from Sparkling. He had vivid pink hair. wooyoung- member that shows the most affection towards the members at all times. one of the two members that were seen dancing in the trailer. he's considered a main dancer in the group. yunho- you recognized him! He was in Imitation too! He was Yujin from Sparkling.. he had black hair. tallest member of ateez. I think a lot of things you will learn from the guide and if you watch variety shows and other content, you can get a feel of their personalities. Each member has individual content on their channel: ATEEZ youtube channel. I'll definitely be watching your future ateez reactions, its always so fun watching reactors react to ateez for the first time. especially if they go through in order. it's very interesting to see how they change their sound each and every time. literally no album has the same sound at all, even if they're a part of the same series. it's amazing. thank you for your reactions and i really appreciate that you're trying to make your video qualities better. hope its not too bothersome! enjoy your day! looking forward to more reactions from you two!
Thank you SO much for saying this! We’re definitely trying but so worried we’re way off sometimes or missing something. We really appreciate your support and reassurance ☺️ moving forward, trying to learn more about each member is a priority. We’re just so worried about a guide spoiling future music videos! Thank you for giving us some background info on each member; we’re learning!! 🤩
This is a new chapter but it is still in connection of their previous albums but more into the modern age; here they are Cyberpunk Pirates known as GUERILLAS (term for soldiers) of humanity and war. They are underground rebel group that entered into a altered future world where everything is banned that would make us human beings including emotions, ATEEZ is there to try to wake them up from the government’s control. IF YOU THINK ABOUT THAT IS WHAT IS LITERALLY HAPPENING REAL LIFE IN OUR WORLD WHICH WILL POTENTIALLY LEAD US TO THAT KIND OF FUTURE IF PEOPLE DON’T START CLEANING UP THEIR WORLDY HABITS AND MINDSETS.
It's a very deep concept that can absolutely be related to the real world. We're really enjoying their story so far. Thank you for all of your comments ❤️!
Yes-They were in Imitation.
Yunho was the 2nd lead, San and Seonghwa were in Sparkling, Jongho was in SHAX (he and Park Yuri stole the show).

You are right some were in a drama named Imitation > members :( Jungho , San , Yunho , Seonghwa ) were in it

These marketing techniques, Morse code, and comeback trailers are so creative and unique 🤯

Thank you for your support!! These teasers definitely had us speechless. I (Bri) have watched them back several times and am still in awe!!
