At the moment i clear out my parents house because they died last year and this music fits perfectly for leaving the house where i grew up and have a lot of memories in there like playing Half Life for the first time.
I can easily put myself in those shoes, especially when fighting for what’s right in the world alone. As long as we are still alive with a single point of health we haven’t lost the war.

This is not how to extend a song, the intro and ending shouldn’t be repeated every 5:30. It takes the listener out of the musical headspace and diminishes the effect. When properly extended, the song can get transformed into a different beast entirely, it’s worth the extra effort.

Here in Russia we love to create depressive songs (not modern pop, but almost all of old russian rock was depressive). And I as well love to listen to the melancholy music and experince it, to embrace the sadness, it makes me feel alive... But that song.. The original of it actually (this is too rhytmical and have bass and drums lines), it is soo powerful, I wouldn't be able to listen to similar music more that 10 minutes I think. It is so dam depressing...

@@matanpokoj373 That is actual sample from HL2: ua-cam.com/video/46bF5oFF1YI/v-deo.html It’s enigmatic, terrifying and grounds the remix in the oppressive atmosphere of HL2, in my opinion. It sounds like a distant Combine Overwatch patrol siren that might soon be closing in on you and you need to rake action now to escape. There is no more time to continue emotionally process, reflect and recover as you’ve been doing in the track thus far. And so it keeps going as a terrible routine with every loop.
@@matanpokoj373 The sample use is actually my favorite part of this remix, to me it enhances the vibe for the reasons I mentioned a few minutes ago. Those reasons are why I feel they do fit into the song. Constant threats and oppression is what the game is all about, Gordon Freeman doesn’t get time to rest or grieve lost Comrades until the G-Man says he can. We are in opposing camps, but music can be polarizing. I just can’t align with your viewpoint on this remix.
