I think you can just crumple crepe paper as a substitute

Hi Susana, for Kimono Style gift wrapping, you will need to cut your paper to: (width) 3 x the width of your box (height) 2 x the height of your box. This style is suitable for the shallow boxes, not for the deep boxes. Thank you for watching and following my tutorials!
