    RE that honey, Bradley? Years ago the famous Gilroy Garlic Festival cookbook from central California coastline did this idea: A BIG jar full of honey and garlic cloves left to "cook" for a few MONTHS...and then? MAKE A SUNDAE with it over great rich full-fat vanilla ice cream! IT IS AWESOME! Try it! I'm ALSO thinking fo9r those ribs? Might be fun to put the garlic in MARMALADE, either with or w/o honey too! Nice citrusy kind All-American-BBQ-Meets-Asian-Citrus-Sweet rib thing?

  • @gregvaughntx

    I am SO making this! I can do it this weekend since I made a bunch of fermented garlic honey a couple of years ago. (Yeah, you should try it after 6+ months, yum!) I eat a whole clove to help blood pressure -- it's like candy. I still have a whole quart I haven't touched in 2 years yet. I even use the same Desert Creek honey since they're local to me.

    • @Patrick94GSR
      @Patrick94GSR 11 місяців тому

      Do you not have to let the jar burp quite often? I have the cloves from a whole head in a jar right now, and after only 3 days I'm burping the jar like twice a day. Let's out a highly fragrant "queef" each time lmao

    • @gregvaughntx
      @gregvaughntx 11 місяців тому

      @@Patrick94GSR The need to burp the jar goes down over time. After a couple of months you can check it once every couple of weeks. After 6-8 months, you can stop burping.

    • @Patrick94GSR
      @Patrick94GSR 11 місяців тому

      @@gregvaughntx I read a recipe page that said to keep the jar lid loose during fermentation. But that would make my whole pantry or even the house smell like garlic. So I put it my garage with a paper bag over it. 😂😂

    You should really use this if you have a cold coming on. Fermented honey garlic has been shown to be antibacterial and antiviral. Anytime someone in our house starts getting a cold we take a tablespoon of this a day and chew on a clove. We've either avoided colds or severely reduced the symptoms and duration.
