I love the spider!!! Please stop putting down on yourself. Nobody deserves that!!! You are not fat and who cares if you have shaky hands most of us do. I for one have shaky hands. Plead know you are worth the world!!!!
VERY PRETTY, PLEASE D'ONT SAY YOUR SORRY SO OFTEN YOU ARE A GREAT TEACHER,AND WE UNDERSTAND IT CAN'T BE EASY WITH A CAMERA ON TOP OF YOU!!! THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHHH.
Very good video , love the close up view which shows exactly how to do it . I have been making these for a few years , I don't use a head pin .. just a length of wire . I might now try that . I wrap the wires around the middle wire but your way of twisting the wires is great . Your spiders are beautiful , love them . Thanks for sharing
I have done a few craft fairs & guess what ? they don't sell . Have sold a couple to friends But mostly i give them away . I put some of mine in box frames , they look quite good like that .
This is a really helpful tutorial. You got a heap of great close ups and explained everything clearly. Thank you for sharing, I can't wait to make some :)
Cute spider I've started one awhile back I still need to finish it. I want to buy some of the real pretty beads but there so costly. I'm watching for sales ;) Enjoyed your tutorial it was great.
Sorry I missed your comment. You know a lot of my beads have come second hand, a lot of costume jewelry. There's a lot of sparkle cheap acrylic beads that are on the market as well. Thank you so much for commenting.
lol, my hands are just too shaky. Do you mean, does it have to hang from the butt, no. You can have it hang from the head just slide the beads/caps on the pin in reverse. Or did you mean do you have to hold the body upside down with stringing the legs?
SugarRayCrafts no. i noticed that while you put the beads on the legs, you held the spider on its back... where the wires are twisted. i wondered if it made a difference in holding it like that... like how thd beads sit. also when you say 24 gauge wire.. what material do yoj mean? i used aluminum and it was way soft. im new to beading. thanks.
I hold the spider upside down so that when the first beads go on I can make sure they're as snug as possible. A wires' gauge means how thick it is. So 14 gauge wire would be thicker then say 24 gauge. Lower the # the thicker the wire. Color doesn't have anything to do with gauge. Your aluminum wire was probably just a really thin gauge, should say on the packaging. :)
thank you. I've made a few, and love them. I'm going to give them as christmas gifts next year, along with the legend about the xmas spiders. i found these light weight snowflakes, (marked down at the dollar store after xmas), that reflect colors of what's around them. so it picks up the spiders colors and kind of is a winter 'web', even though its a snowflake. i find that i twist the four wires together, 2x --like you did, . then i twist 2 legs together (2 sets of 2 on each side), tightly. that gives it a little more stability for me to hold. at first, i used a wire called 'dead soft' and the legs were flimsy-floppy. i appreciate your replies to my questions and i love your tutorial.
That sounds awesome. I would love getting them for xmas, each one is unique so whomever the recipient would be; they could collect them. I had wanted to experiment making webs, I have these snowflake wire forms, but they've just been sitting along with everything else. I needed to find graduating sized bugle beads for my web idea. I made a beaded glowbug ornament, used a burnt out night light bulb for it's butt. But I haven't crafted in a while, just too much going on but hopefully I'll be back in the game soon. Just need to get organized.
I have been trying to make these, lol but goofed up the part where you twist the wires over the body, had to unwind everything, what a mess but i did get it,i am new to this and having a problem with the darn wire twist,i am using 20 in gage for the body, and 22 in gage for the legs, anyone have any easier ideas on the body wrap ? ❤
I would recommend 24 gage for the legs. The smaller the gage, the easier it is to maneuver. Can't help you with the body because I use head pins. Thanks so much for watching.
Omg! girl those are freaking cool and so cute I LOVE them and those colors you picked I'm making some and I'm going to put my face from the cup that i made on them if I can😁

very cute. I'm thrilled to find out my big stomach has a purpose . i wondered if having the bottom up while you're stringing is important.
