I consider myself a tough, realist, from the hood, moved to the country.... grew up in the hood, had a son n moved away. This almost brought me to tears, i am lieing.... it did bring tears. Never felt this before, a mixture of guilt that i havent been more active in my community, hate of the system, and saddness for my brothers of all colors. We need to unite NOW! We are on that ledge. I refuse to let my fellow people fall.

I literally sat here and cried thinking of my little nieces and nephew and all the other kids that have to grow up in the society we're living in. Excellent video, guys. Man, I love that analogy you made. If someone came up and punched your mom, you'd be mad and you'd probably stop that person and defend your mom. Yet, too often we see someone get beat up or get hurt, and we don't feel that need to step in and defend them. That person could be someone's child, mother/father, brother/sister, or someone's best friend. Maybe it's society, or maybe it's beyond that, but we should start acting like everyone is our family, defending each other from the wicked ways of the world, as we are all brothers and sisters on this planet. There seems to be a place for bystanders and ignorance in this world today, and as we continue moving forward, I hope that that space becomes smaller and smaller, not more larger.

I’ve honestly been searching UA-cam for more reactions to this song. I’m watching every reaction I can find and it’s all the same ❤️ The time for change is NOW. Our generation can remove the deep-seated roots of racism and prejudice and build a whole new world of equality. True equality, not Jim Crow or segregation as my people so wrongfully did in the past. In my opinion to other white people; we need to look at the past, acknowledge our people’s mistakes and face them head on. Only then can we truly support our fellow men and women of color in their cause. Much love, and have strength 🤘

    6:38
"All I see is more murders, while the soldiers keep on serving.. and I wonder, is it all worth it".
    Deep, very deep.
And no one has caught it yet or atleast not spoken on it.
Man I'm Aussie, but the soldiers serving, fighting, sacrificing their all, to give us everything we have.. yet we're destroying our own lives, our own freedom and throwing away our own rights with all our senseless acts just spits in the face of every soldier fallen, or still serving.
There's a big difference between being free, and being selfish.. and we often blur the lines.
"Watch them bury me down, till I'm 6ft deep in the under ground, dead is the land of the free"
Most powerful lyrics going around, alive we are never free. Especially while we continue to do what we do.

I'm aware that I'm 3 days late to this video, but I just watched the music video for the song and heard the song for the first time.
I just wanted to let y'all know that not only are other races standing with, standing by and standing up for the black community, but other countries are as well. Japan, New Zealand, England, Germany, and others are protesting in their countries for the US. Unfortunately, it took yet another black man to lose his life to get us to this point, but this is turning into a worldwide movement, not just a countrywide movement and that knowledge gives me more hope than I've ever had for equality.

When you do an act of kindness, announce it not with the flourish of trumpets, as the heathen do in the streets and synagogues. They do so only to gain favor from man. Their reward will come in time.

Iprevail does not make bad music. Mix that with Lucas 🔥🔥🔥🔥. If y'all wanna look into some more real music that isn't rap. Look deeper into iprevail 🙌🏾

So I believe that I Prevail is trying to convey the message that we dont value life anymore. Though this video is very relevant today (RIP George) this song came out last year. I believe its saying that no matter how much we can say we pray or hope, we are still slowly losing our humanity and becoming "zombies" to the norms of society.

This is a very deep and powerful message that really hit hard at the core of what it was supposed to hit and I really do hope that there is change, the song was just amazing

Thank you both for sharing this video. I really appreciated hearing your thoughts and your hearts on our current state. As a white man, I am trying to absorb the words, opinions, and stories of as many black people as possible so I can learn better how to respond and love you all the best I can. It just so turns out that right now that I am learning from DOA music video reactions lol. Maybe not the most credible source in the eyes of some, but I am thankful to be able to see you nonetheless. Prayers for you both, thank you again for sharing.

You were absolutely right about that George and others in similar situations were treated worse than animals. No normal person would strangle a dog (that's not theirs) for peeing on their lawn, yet the equivalent seems to happen to Human Beings, mostly of color, and at an alarming rate. What happened to George was completely inhumane and intolerable, and I'm glad as well that so many people, of all races, are coming forward to agree on how wrong that was and to say something about it to hopefully make a change.

In these past few days I have sat back and thought about the ignorance of the world. Ima keep this short. Whether you are red, blue, yellow, or purple, we all have to put that first foot forward to what is right. We need to grasp our hatred for wrong and use it as fuel to do the right thing. Due to the rotten people in our society we have to earn the right to say “we”. We have to strive to do the right thing. Today it may seem pointless. Petty. I mean you are just one person right? I mean look at MLK. It took one person with a big enough heart to make a change. Tomorrow you may have to be that person. Tomorrow you might have to be the one to rise above all and stand for what is right. Ok maybe not so short😬

Since changing my genre of music to predominately ROCK, I have heard more songs with messages that are in regards to todays times. Listened to this song before seeing the video and never heard the verse of Joyner Lucas! I would say take a gander at I Prevail's Album TRAUMA!!! Thanks fellas for sharing your reactions! It was very similar to my reaction of watching this video! LOL #FunnyNotFunny
