I got a pair of Fuji FMT-SX 10x70 binoculars to be mounted for stargazing. I liked them so much I bought the 8x42 Hyper-Clarity binoculars. These are premium quality Japanese optics.

I appreciate the honest review warts and all. Very commendable. Recommend the FMTR version instead but like all binoculars they’re all overpriced

Qualty optics are very expensive. The look at the price of a single presciption glass lenses. Then think each tube of a quality bin has 9 to 13 of them. Add the body, collimation and waterproofing.
