What a wonderful interview. I love these two ladies so much! I loved Wham! and George since Wham! arrived in 1982 and I was 11; I'm now 50 gulp!! The book was superb - I have the audiobook as well as the hardback; just to hear them read their own words is a joy.
Looks like a great book to red, love Wham! Singing and dancing Queens Shirley and Pepsi. Adore their friendship and how they interact with each other. They have always been gorgeous beauties, yes the photographs are absolutely stunning. George and Andrew are so charmingly boyish and handsome. ❤ ♥️ 😍🥰😘👑⚜️💎🏆🎵🎶
This video brings back memories ❤ As I was in Wham’s “wake me up before you go go official video” back in the day! where I bumped into a former classmate…George’s cousin ( A ) as we were both had enrolled in same graphic design course for two years at Croydon art college. I remember (A) designing Wham’s early record covers! When they were unknowns, Who would have thought! Fun memories 😊
I believe I fell in love with George. I read everything I can about him. I especially liked the NETFLIX biography of George. He had such a different beautiful face, a beautiful personality and a voice like no other. How sad he is gone.

I love these girls!!! They are "our" girls since the 80's because they were amazing person and they still are! The Wham! were completely different from the other groups simply because all of them were special. George is the love of my life... we should have fight much more for him, we should have tried to save him in a way or another, we shouldn't have let him leave, all of us, even who didn't know him personally not just his friend, all of us
I Will look for the Girls' book, I like them so much, and I' have just became George's fan and I want to Know the most that I can about him, and I think that this amazing book will let me to know more about him because they knew George very closely and they were very fortunated to work with him. ❤😘🥰🙅🏻♀️
His uncle died the day of or the day after George's birth sadly after George passed I was watching my London DVD I got through most of the songs I thought would break me down but when he started that one about my mother had a brother not even halfway in I was blubbering before I even realized it
Pepsi and Shirlie were a super female duo, I love their heartache single and the other singles they had, they should have had a much longer career. Pepsi looks even today young
I’m getting the feeling that you weren’t around and clubbing at the time Wham songs were being played. Most women were ‘super female’, I’m assuming you mean feminine. Most of us only wore dresses, heels, wore make up and styled our hair. It’s how it was back then. I used to like to date a man in a suit or a shirt and trousers. Men used to make an effort then, not like most dress today.
What a great down to earth interview ! Such lovely ladies with amazing stories to tell. Of an era that is so dear to a lot of people. Me included. Loved wham and George . All the best with the book ❤
Lovely interview from Pepsi and shirlie going into great details about the wham days. Also George and Andrew were great in the band Especially George George wrote about how he was feeling in a Personal way from the beginning to the end of his career George's his Emotions within his lyrical contents you felt his Pain and the way that George sang was unique many can Relate to the wham songs and also to George's solo songs George will be Remembered for his Amazing singing voice that he had and for the songs and the lyrics that so many can Relate to across the world in Many Generations to come
Wham! were a duo. A pop duo. Not a band. I was the biggest Wham! fan, but dont get why they refer to themselves as a band. And Pepsi and Shirlie were never even officially part of the act - they were just backing dancers.
How did George get his hair straight, it has always puzzled me , I got a perm thinking I could look like him in the 80s boy was I wrong I got nicknamed shirley temple at school .
he said it took work to get his hair that great LOL but Yeah Melanie did it for him back in the day when the Miami heat mde it go frizzy and they had to do reshoots for Careless Whisper he called her to come help him and thats the video we have today the shots of him in the cap are when it went wild he said but I love it LOL I love his hair no matter how it looks I just love him though
Shirley said in a interview with Andrew that she and George hated the travelling? That was after George had past away. I like Shirley but she doesn't remember what she has said before. I believe in what Andrew says, his memory is better than Shirley's 😂
Why is it in 2023 you are not showing multiple panes where we can see all 3 of ye interact like a zoom/webex ? There is no excuse for anyone anymore after the pandemic especially for you given you are suppose to be the reputable reporter interviewing them. I saw some shady cut shots which leads me to believe there is no love, it is fake. Couple that with Shirley's interview recently on Graham Norton radio with Andrew Wycherley the chemistry was SO SO SO off.......be honest this is a fake!
I wholly appreciate what Shirley was saying about hearing Careless Whisper. I heard the stripped back vocal on another channel on YT several weeks back, and to hear George's vocal, and only the vocal, was somewhat 'spiritual' for me.
You can tell that all 4 of them loved each other.
What a wonderful interview. I love these two ladies so much! I loved Wham! and George since Wham! arrived in 1982 and I was 11; I'm now 50 gulp!! The book was superb - I have the audiobook as well as the hardback; just to hear them read their own words is a joy.
I was born in 1982
I love you, two years younger same feelings. I've only been a member of two fan clubs. Wham and the Ewoks from Star Wars. I was nine for both
I'm in exactly the same position as you!! Loved + miss those times❤
George was pure class and I admired his talent and his contribution to music that changed our lives.

Major crush on Shirlie during Wham! era.
Such a great interview, i need to get their book 🥰
He's not been forgotten him! X

I don't agree, I see a beautiful and interesting black woman with lots of positive energy in her 60! Lovely!
@@triadafillos1I agree. She looks amazing. Approaching mid 60s, too! Both seem like very nice women.

Beautiful how Pepsi and Shirley with so much love over George talk ❤
Pepsi and shirley were a great duo, even after wham.☺️

Very lucky to have watched and listened to them, I was 11 wayback when they started. Love them!!!
Wow both Ladies are Beautiful but Pepsi looks young.

They were all best friends.
Just listened to the audiobook, great background information about George, their own career etc..
What audiobook is this???
An interview with Pepsi, yet it's Dee C Lee on the thumbnail!
How did George get his hair straight, it has always puzzled me , I got a perm thinking I could look like him in the 80s boy was I wrong I got nicknamed shirley temple at school .
His sister was a hairdresser, she straightened it out for him
he said it took work to get his hair that great LOL but Yeah Melanie did it for him back in the day when the Miami heat mde it go frizzy and they had to do reshoots for Careless Whisper he called her to come help him and thats the video we have today the shots of him in the cap are when it went wild he said but I love it LOL I love his hair no matter how it looks I just love him though
What a wonderful friendship. The stories that car could tell 😂😂
Why are their albums not on streaming?
Shirley said in a interview with Andrew that she and George hated the travelling? That was after George had past away. I like Shirley but she doesn't remember what she has said before. I believe in what Andrew says, his memory is better than Shirley's 😂
Elen Pepsi tem uma vos linda ela também emuito bonita Lourival Pereira filho do Alcântara sg rj
Do you know that was not Pepsi in the Club Tropicana video, but a girl called Dee C Lee, which makes your video thumbnail shamefully wrong…
It doesn't matter!!!
@@rosequartz7841 You're right... and Pepsi is probably delighted that you consider her interchangeable with any girl that looks slightly like her. 🙄
