Yeah no, that's just the video. If he would throw >45deg it would be a 85m throw, that's waay too steep. With javelin your want to throw around 36-40deg (head-tail wind).
The javelin dive of Finnish throwers has already proven that 98 and 97 meters of Jan and johanness respectively are effective for breaking the 100 meter mark
Lol he threw at an angle nearly like 60*degrees but still managed to hit 97m He has such massive muscle strength.. Imagine him throwing at 45 * degrees
He s angle release is really close to 45°. What gives the impression of really high angle is the attitude of the javelin. Angle of release is the common parobola of the javelin , the attitude is how the javelin is positioned (you can have the javelin flying flat and still manteining the 45° parabola's angle) If you want more insight about this and vetter release angle there is a study done during world javelin championship in Doha (if i remember correctly) there are all the data of the finalists competitor.

I think everything went perfect from his throw to his landing just before the link to the trajectory.
nice coach
It depends on the air also.
He throws at an angle of greater than 45 degree. But it travels a large distance
Technically it's not possible to throw at 45 degrees with all your strength

What is insane to me is that Vetter is throwing with a WAY better javelin here than Zelezny and is probably 30kg heavier. Zelezny was such a MACHINE!
so amazing that human can come so close to what an android did 30 years ago...
better javelin no. just harder. also heavier does brings more strenght but you still have to have flexibility and cant stop as fast
