I was sad when he passed so I got a funko pop to honor him in his memory. And R.I.P Denise Nickerson April 1, 1957 - July 10, 2019 She was amazing as Violet Beauregarde
I loved all of the actors in this movie. I always cry when Charlie's mother sings "Cheer up, Charlie". I love Gene Wilder, and he made me jump when he yelled at Charlie.
No doubt, willy Wonka has become the wizard of Oz of our day. I'm 66 and still love to watch it often. I had a thing for Veruca. Thanks for a great movie.❤
I wouldn’t consider the 4 children as villains. They are more just spoilet! R.I.P Gene whilder 1933-2016 Also R.I.P to all of the other people who have died! God bless you!
I really liked Gene Wilder in this movie because he was my favorite actor, people wanted him to be remembered as Willy Wonka. I loved Jack Albertson in this movie and I liked the way he portrayed the voice of Amos slade in the animated movie “The Fox and the Hound”, he was very good at it.
Tragically old? It's good they remained alive and Gene lived to be 83 dying peacefully in his sleep. Nothing sad about that. BTW I met Peter and Julie. Nicest people
Yes I was looking for this comment. I agree , my dad and I were just talking about him and what a great actor he was. We love Blazing Saddles its a classic
He's not resting in peace he's actually rotting in misery and if he was cremated then holy guacamole, there's no heaven and no such thing as no pain after your dead that's for sure.
One of my all time favourite movies still watch it on Blu Ray 4k and I had a crush on varuca salt (Julie Dawn Cole) when I first saw willy wonka as a 10 year old in the 80s
One of my ultimate favorite movies growing up! I met Gene Wilder at Borders Bookstore In San Diego when he was promoting his autobiography with his then wife In maybe 2010. Not certain about the year.
Fun fact Jack Albertson's last ever movie to play in was Amos Slade in the 1981 movie The Fox And The Hound. He died shortly a few months after the movie released.
What was the deal with the thumbnail portraying Peter Ostrum with a missing leg? It was ad when Gene Wilder passed away, he was one of the last lead actors in both Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein to go. I think my favorite scene in the 1971 film was Violet's inflation scene but I always liked the character of Grandpa Joe
They do that with ALL their thumbnails! I guess they think people won't watch without a clickbait photo showing the actors in abnormal ways to gt those views up
Actually most of us get get out alive as it is not life after death, rather it is life after life! And all of us will be there accept those who have raped or murdered in cold blood, or simply refuse to entertain the idea that a God exists. So, if you believe that a God could indeed exist, we will see you there, and this entire cast will be there too!
Geez what's up w/ showing Peter Ostrum in a hospital bed w/ a leg missing? Also, the mother of Augustus Gloop was played by Ursula Reit not Pat Carrol. Did they think just because she had the first name "Ursula" they could link it w/ The Little Mermaid voice actress??? 🤔🤔🤔
What a hack job. Everyone gone starts with sadly. Everyone here starts with living a healthy life. First of all, there's nothing sad about someone living a full life and passing in their 80s. And just because someone is alive does not mean that they're living a healthy life. Obviously some of them are not the picture of health. And a clickbait thumb. Peter is not sick and in the hospital. He's healthy and works as a vet.
Some of y'all may not know this but Mike Teevee's mother was in Splash! She was that lady in Bloomingdale's! I also didn't know Sam Beauregarde was on 'Wheel of Fortune'! That's so cool! I was excited to tell my parents that and they thought that was cool too!
In the 1971 movie, Mr. Bucket is dead. Mrs. Bucket and Charlie have to work to support themselves and Charlie's bedridden grandparents. In the book, Mr. Bucket is alive and working in a toothpaste factory.
I liked watching the film so much I can't choose but the thing is the spoilt one ask for egg then goes on about party and alot of other things what has that got to do with the film and golden eggs and golden geeses and golden eggs!!!!😮
50+ years and this version of Charlie and the chocolate factory is still going strong ....my 9 year old absolutely LOVES this film !!!!
Yea im a 90s baby and its still the best .
R.I.P
Gene Wilder

Me too
Fun fact - Peter Ostrum never made another movie for the rest of his life!
You meant "never *appeared in* another movie."
Yep. Been a animal vet for many years.
Fun fact: tRump lost the election
Really? Peter ostrum is an actor. I thought he would've made a big lot of films by now.
@@paulmacartney8266 Was. He mentioned that being an actor isn't what he wanted to do.
I wouldn’t consider the 4 children as villains. They are more just spoilet!

😢 only found out now best flim I watched is the original wonka movie rip
@@raylyd Will never be able to see, watch in the same way. R.I. P.

@@gogoyubari366 l can't believe there's actually a word that rhymes with toilet! Who knew?
The film is a classic its shocking how many have passed away
Sadly, the movie is over 50 years old.
its so sad to me when any of my childhood actors are gone...I just can"t live with it...I want to go with them...
🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
As much as I love the Tim Burton version, this original is a classic, and I watch it at least once a month. Love it.
I don’t! They should Never have made that God Awful Movie!!
Cap
Same here you can't beat the original ❤❤❤
Tim Burton wasn't Wonka johnny Depp was besides gene wilder
I really liked Gene Wilder in this movie because he was my favorite actor, people wanted him to be remembered as Willy Wonka. I loved Jack Albertson in this movie and I liked the way he portrayed the voice of Amos slade in the animated movie “The Fox and the Hound”, he was very good at it.
He also did pretty good on singing in the movie as well (for someone that's not one)
Sad thing is though he died shortly after the movie was released
I will aways remember gene Wilder as many the first Willy Wonka he can do the best pure imagination song RIP
Willie wonky and the chocolate factory as the best film .I watch it now and again and I'm a little girl again .
Thank you for posting this ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ The best movie ever❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for making this great video!
In my book this version of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is the best.
Getting old is a gift, not a tragedy.
I feel very lucky to have been able to see it in the theater when I was 6 years old.
This is one of my favorite films. It is so sad that basically the whole cast died.
we all have a number.
We sure do
Basically the whole cast didn't die
Tragically old? It's good they remained alive and Gene lived to be 83 dying peacefully in his sleep. Nothing sad about that. BTW I met Peter and Julie. Nicest people
lucky❤
Personally I have always been a Gene Wilder fan, especially in Blazing Saddles.
Yes I was looking for this comment. I agree , my dad and I were just talking about him and what a great actor he was. We love Blazing Saddles its a classic
It’s really sad how many actors have passed away :(
Last I checked Peter Ostrum still has both legs
So disrespectful
That’s rude!
I liked them all
I loved grandpa Joe.
Rip gene Wilder he'll be missed

One hit wonder, but it was GREAT!!!
Yes it's sad that most of the actors are gone.
‘The cast is tragically old’. Everybody ages, nothing tragical about that
The thing is your not dead when your dead I mean your not out of feeling pain or suffering anyways.
David became a Veterinarian and from what I have seen a very good one.
David who?
Peter Ostrum became a veterinarian.
One of my ultimate favorite movies growing up! I met Gene Wilder at Borders Bookstore In San Diego when he was promoting his autobiography with his then wife In maybe 2010. Not certain about the year.
Actually..Poor Roy Kinnear was killed in a horse backing riding accident during the filming of one of "The Musketeers"movies.

It’s sad for the actors died, I was born in 2003.
Sad that those actors, who passed, are gone from us. But then, NONE of us are getting out of life, alive.
Actually most of us get get out alive as it is not life after death, rather it is life after life! Most of the actors that played the kids’ parents died around the 80s and 90s the last one that past away was the one the played Charlie’s mom.
👍
I loved William wonka chocolate film ,rest in peace
❤❤❤
My 9 year old daughter also loves this film both of them. Original and the 2004 one!
*2005
Beautiful movie ❤
Why the offensive click bait
Theres nothing tragic about getting old...
it is creepy that everyone that has died from this movie died all "died suddenly"
I was puzzled by that until I realized he was saying "sadly," not "suddenly."
They are all good act and actress
Veruca salt was my favorite .
Gooses, geeses, lol!
It’s sad that 2015 was the last year Gene Wilder was alive 😭
Except for the fact that isn't true. Gene Wilder didn't die until August of 2016.
@@michaelharrington75 My bad.
Rip Willy wonka
I have talk to all of the children, well they weren't kids when I saw them in Boston Ma.
And sadly, the clickbait got you a dislike.
Rip Willy wonka actor death took a legend from us
Always the main character dies!
RIP Willy Wonka(1958-2024)

completely irresponsible
Another reminder that we're all going to die someday I just hope I fulfill all my goals and dreams before that day comes
Went to a convention where Julie Dawn Cole (Veruca) was supposed to be. Unfortunately something came up and she couldn't make it
My mother loves this movie, she cried when I showed her this video

Julie Dawn Cole became a successful actress starring in the BBC series Angels. I recall she left the profession quite a while ago
What is with that clickbait picture at the front of your video? Peter never lost his lower leg 🙄
6:31 the picture of the right isn’t her it’s actually Pat Carol the voice of Ursula The Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid 🧜🏻♀️🥺🥺🥺🥺 she died in 2022
I've just said this too 😂 noticed straight away she was my idol may she rest in peace

In Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, Charlie never had a Father
He had a Grandad
In the 1971 movie, Mr. Bucket is dead. Mrs. Bucket and Charlie have to work to support themselves and Charlie's bedridden grandparents. In the book, Mr. Bucket is alive and working in a toothpaste factory.

The thumbnail is so fake
Has this guy ever watched Willy Wonka and the chocolate Factory? Charlie lived with his Mother and 4 grandparents. His Dad wasn't in the movie.
Peter Ostrum said on an interview that Julie and Denise had a crush on him at that time lol
The opening picture is IDIOTIC CLICKBAIT 😂
time has not been kind to them
What is that thumbnail
That is not a picture of Augustus Gloop’s mom in the “now” photo. That is actress Pat Carroll who voiced Ursula in The Little Mermaid. 😂
Everyone died suddenly!! :)
Me il son tous mors 😢
My favorite character is Mike Teavee
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I adore this movie and didn't David Bentley appear in The Jefferson's?
Rip every one dead here
Stop saying sadly when people die of old age. It is natural, and part of life.
Tragically old. lol. Nothing wrong with growing old. After 52 years, what do you expect? Unless you’re Benjamin Button
You got gene wilder photo mixed up with jack Albertsons
If they did another remake Peter Ostrum could play Grandpa Joe. He's just a year older than Albert is at the time of writing this.
Would've been interesting if the original kids had played their parents in the 2005 version actually. They would've been the right age for it.
@@urbex_coasters They would've been a decade too old.
What a stupid thing to say.

What's with the clickbait thumbnail??
A simple image search reveals it to be that of a Wayne Ball of Tasmania (with a different head superimposed)

Roy Kinnear fell off a horse I think and died tragically...Whilst filming 3 Muscateers.....🤔.....
What is up with these celebrities with no legs? Come on now. 😮😂😂
I know right
if you were in bed for 20 years would yours still work? Use your head.
Gene was 38 when he did will wonka and died at 83. Wow
When you Google Peter Ostrum, you'll see that his title is an "American Veterinarian" not actor.

peter ostrum becuase he is a vet now and i met him when my dog has a apointment
