There are videos planned ahead and association will get covered. However, something closer and sometimes used as part of measuring association is correlation. A video already exists for it. You could have a look.
It is not a case of cost of computing power. It is whether one wants to invest extra time in computation. Instead, using visualization and SD can provide an enriched outcome. For kurtosis, it depends from case-to-case.
