Hello, thanks for the video. I have a question, what does the option "auto rotate pages within each sheet" mean and do? Is it any different? Should I select it? You hadn't selected jt in your video
You will print on one side only, then put those pages back in the printer for printing on the other side. Consult the printer manual for where to find the settings for this on your printer.
sadly this advanced HP duoplex office printer didn't have a booklet option apparently. I had to manually organise 100 pages into a coherent book printable PDF file. thanks but this doesn't help
I always tell my printer guy to help me do this but they always just print on landscape two per page. This way, when I want to actually use it, I can't flip it like a book. Thank you so much, I have gone ahead to download Adobe Reader.
My Software fails, so I have to do it manually. The duplex doesnt work automatically either. Can you show me a math formula to order the numbers in the way it does automatically for each page? (The first one always being the first page and the last, and so on)
I want to print a PDF paged 1-10 as a Booklet. By clicking "Booklet" in the printing options, does it automatically arrange my PDF pages in 10-1, 2-9, 8-3, 4-7, 6-5 for print?
@@bazdris8132 Check Adobe forums (or google) for trouble printing PDFs with a Brother printer. I'm primarily a sewing pattern designer not a printer expert but I have heard my customers occasionally have trouble with Brother printers. Not in many years, but still might be your issue.
I used to print 6 pages in 1 A4, but that is when I was a student & we had TONS of slides to print. Even 1 subject had many topics & slides. But as I take online courses while working, I've found this to be more proper if I have to refer back & to save paper as well. Really glad I've found this tutorial. Thanks a lot for this wonderful tutorial! May Allah SWT always guide & bless you & your loved ones.
Its printing in a weird way not in your order like i cant align the pages in order after printing no matter how much i tried its a booklet but with a random order
Are you sure? They do print in a weird order so that when you fold them, they'll be right. Like the middle two pages are first, with the next middle-most pages on the backs, etc.
Here's a discussion that might help you. Look at the discussion re "Flip on short side" or the equivalent wording for your printer's settings. community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/booklet-printing-pages-upside-down/td-p/2610437
So i followed these steps and for some reason and no matter what i do my printer prints the front side the right way up and the back sie upside down. I have tried flipping the paper up/over and this doesn't seem to make any difference. it's driving me insane! Any idea how to fix this xD
aargh how frustrating! Are you using manual duplex or is the printer automatically grabbing and flipping? If it's auto and doing it wrong I'd google your printer type and duplex printing
Look at your manual (or Google your printer make/model) and be sure it supports automatic duplex printing. If it doesn't, the manual will tell you the steps to do it manually.
@@TheOfficialGuineaPigOfUA-cam Are you sure your PDF is opened with Adobe Reader? I'm pretty sure it's the same and has booklet option in the same place shown in the video
Hi, in the beginning I talk about whether your printer has duplex printing, which means if it automatically prints on both sides and that if it doesn't you have to consult your specific printer's instructions for how to set it up manually.
Yerr this saved me from stress and hours of failed attempts! Thank you so much!
awesome! Thanks for taking the time to let me know!
Thank you so much. I find only your video to be helpful in the entire UA-cam.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, glad it helped!
Thank you so much. I have been searching this solution for long time.

Kindly help me to do that

Hi, I am not sure. All my pages are oriented portrait so I don't need to rotate.
This is really helpful. Thank you. I am printing our marriage booklet. Finally figured it out because of you and saved a ton of money. Thank you.
What if my printer is only one side printing?
You will print on one side only, then put those pages back in the printer for printing on the other side. Consult the printer manual for where to find the settings for this on your printer.

I'm glad!
ty for the video.. any suggestions for
how to bind a 50-70 page booklet ?
I think you might need the help of a copy shop - either a comb binding or hole punch + brads

Im doing everything right but it still wont print. My printer isnt broken because we did a stat test print but it just wont print, what do I do??
Are you using adobe reader? What printer are you using? Does it have automatic duplex printing (both sides of paper) or do you have to do it manually?
@@Tiedyedivapatterns Yea I'm using adobe reader, I'm using a brother printer, and it is an auto duplex printer

Worst fold job I ever seen

Whaaaaaaaat? You sew but you can't fold pages straight?
I know! The shame! Haha!
If you know how to do this on a non-auto duplexing printer, please teach.
I don't; but maybe I'll learn and make a video - will think about it!

Thank you. Is there a way to remove the excessive margins ?
Not that I know of.
Hit the auto rotate button on the print page
Very helpful , you made it short and easy. Thank you

Yooo the folding triggered my OCD 😳 no hate tho.. ✌🏽
Oh I hear you! It was either make everyone sit through watching me fold it well, or just get it folded and save everyone's time! 😂

how do you do this with windows?
