You shouldve set a cruise for like 70mph and that would’ve given you a better idea haha you kept crackin into 80+ and calling it conservative 😂😂😂. Got that lead foot!
my 2.7TT Bronco Badlands really loves the cold weather. Boosted engines love the dense air and cold charge temps. You need to get the replacement nozzles for the gas canister. i put all mine back to the old style and don't ever regret it
I Think this will always depend on a lot of factors. The computer most likely assumes that you will maintain your driving style that you had and calculates a range using this. So if you drive like a hooligan and then take it easy after the light comes on, there will be much more range
part of the reason the world records for speeds are mostly attempted on salt lakes is that salt provides a better friction surface than tarmac. so tires can grip better. so that "salty surface" you described in fact is an advantage point.
3.5 cause no gas lol weight savings! Lol I just bought my first trx and absolutely love it!! Did a 4 wheels drift from a launch last night, winter=boost weather❤
Hey Mike - Merry Christmas to you and your family. As I watched the upload, I thought that driving at 75 - 82 mph on the highway isn't really conservative. The TRX would have done noticeably better at 65 - 70 mph.
Appreciate this I travel a lot in my TRX and I passed the last gas station one time and it showed 10 miles to Empty but this gives me a bit more peace of mind of how far I can possibly go lol
Can’t believe ur TRX and my Built To Serve get almost the same MPGs I average 10.9 😳 I don’t drive hypersonic Jst “normal” aggressive driving 😂! Thx for the experiment, now I know! BTW, jst subscribed! ✌🏽 12:04
How much hp gain does 15% E85/93 premium blend give the TRX? How much hp gain does 110 octane race fuel give TRX? Just a few video ideas. Need access to a dyno though.
What a risk taker!! I have a Big Horn 26 gal, once that light goes off its 4 reserves, some toll roads have no gas stations in sight for a good hour or so mile stretch, I wouldn't chance it. I will say, gets me about 500 miles on a full tank
3.5 for lower temperature and lower gas in the tank. Good video, I was planning to do this but you already got it so saves my time and gas. And I don’t have to freak out when I see the low tank indicator anymore, it’s enough for me to go around the Island here in Hawaii before completely running out.
Another way to do that is to know how many gallons your tank is and then when you go fill it up with the pump and subtract and you know how many gallons are still in your tank usually manufactures leave you 30 to 50 miles after it says zero
On the side of the highway tho? Dangerous. I used to do roadside service in my 20s. One shift I witnessed an old lady blow her tires out in her Audi and I pulled over to help. It was one of the most scariest experiences in my life. She rewarded me with 60 dollars. I appreciated it lol
I find it hypocritical when people drive these huge V8 at 85+ mph and complain about gas prices. You by a vehicle like this and have given up your right to complain about gas prices.
Was considering if I should whipple my Roush F150 or buy a TRX. So happy I stuck with my truck! Averaging over 15mpg even with the whipple and my right shoe is made of lead.
I have a 450whp STI, one of the lighter ones at 3350lbs, and it gets 14mpg on 93 octane and 9-13mpg on E85. So think about that when you consider this truck's gas mileage. Dollars for donuts this truck isn't that bad.
Looks like they turn the fuel light on when you have 5 gallons or less remaining in the tank. That is my guess anyway. Love these tests you do. Of course, nobody should make a habit out of running the fuel tank dry. That is hard on the fuel pump.
It would make sense that you got 26 miles I’ve always knew that when the fuel light turns on , there is usually 2 gallons left in tank. By you getting 12 miles to gallon, that would put you in the 24 ish range
Awesome video bro this was a great video had me dying, then I was like what if you didn’t have gas in the gas container and it was empty that would of been hella funny but awesome video keep up the great work God Bless
I once put 139.8L in my 136L F150 tank after driving on 0 for who knows how long. I was in the middle of nowhere and didn't think I was going to make the station lol
Merry Christmas to you also!! I talked to a guy at car wash he gets 14mpg going to work. He said not much better then his tundra he had maybe your a little heavier on foot
Hey mike great video as always.... but btw I just reported over 15 spam comments looking like your account they’re everywhere UA-cam needs to delete these..
The reason many will drive a little longer on 0 is so that you don't burn out your fuel pump...Gasoline is a coolant for the tank fuel pump... No gas means overheating and killing the fuel pump.. This buffer of fuel, keeps enough fuel to keep the fuel pump cool, thus not spending $$$$ for a fuel pump replacement..
We have a 2022 Dodge Ram Ted with 1,000 miles, we always refuel it when we have a 1/4 of a tank and I was wondering what would happen if we drove until empty, the trx sound amazing during the cold start
You shouldve set a cruise for like 70mph and that would’ve given you a better idea haha you kept crackin into 80+ and calling it conservative 😂😂😂. Got that lead foot!
80 IS conservative in PA...
Very true!
here in pa 80 is definitely normal😂 i cruise at 80/85 so does my whole family lol
He obviously doesn't know how to drive conservative. Lol
90 is slow in Florida lmfao
I'm not surprised they probably designed it to go a decent distance before running out. Great video
yeah it's proportional to the car or truck
You got faster 0-60 because you have less fuel weight than you typically do. And well yes more power due to colder intake temps.
my 2.7TT Bronco Badlands really loves the cold weather. Boosted engines love the dense air and cold charge temps. You need to get the replacement nozzles for the gas canister. i put all mine back to the old style and don't ever regret it

Also the supercharged 6.2L hellcat engine, plus the big heavy tires with stock gearing is going to take 2-3 mpg off.
@@anthonyj810 hey bud just letting you know its a 6.2L
@@thebareminimalbandits9930 Your right i was thinking of the 2500
The good old OG AUTOVLOG IS BACK!!!
This is the signature Autovlog vid. Allways enjoy these ones😁👍🏻
Well stated
part of the reason the world records for speeds are mostly attempted on salt lakes is that salt provides a better friction surface than tarmac. so tires can grip better. so that "salty surface" you described in fact is an advantage point.
Love your "What if" and "How far" videos !! :)
This is the signature Autovlog vid.
I'd be nervous taking the tank that low in an expensive vehicle. But that's why we watch mike.
3.5 cause no gas lol weight savings! Lol
I just bought my first trx and absolutely love it!! Did a 4 wheels drift from a launch last night, winter=boost weather❤

Low was equivalent to 10 miles. So, I would say 0 miles to go was 10 miles later. That being said, I would say the reserve is 16 miles. Great video!
AutoVlog Great Video I'm suprised that your Ram TRX went 26.8 mile on 0 miles till empty and I'm glad you had extra gas
I remember these videos from way back! Toss the keys out the window, driving on empty! Good stuff!
Mike i’m so proud u came back u motivated me to buy my c63 in the first place !
The best part of the video is that you look like a kid with your favorite toy, I like your videos and I love the way the TRX run, happy holidays
videos like this are the reason why I subscribed to this channel!
You should try this in the danger ranger
Great stuff, Mike!
Please do this "experiment" with your new Audi! Might be surprised about that, who knows.
Gotta say it; like your guts in pulling off these kinda videos.
Yeah! they can be quite nerve-racking but i like'em.
Hi Mike great video awesome Happy Christmas to you and your family 😀
Appreciate this I travel a lot in my TRX and I passed the last gas station one time and it showed 10 miles to Empty but this gives me a bit more peace of mind of how far I can possibly go lol
I bet Mike helped out so many TRX drivers on this video.
The weight of the fuel may have helped your 0 to 60 time.
Merry Christmas Mike. Take care in the cold weather you have at the moment 🇬🇧
Cold air is so dense, and that is a boon for forced-induction engines. My TRX reliably does 3.5-3.7 in Temps below 50. LOVE my truck!
You and your family have a Merry Christmas
Can’t believe ur TRX and my Built To Serve get almost the same MPGs I average 10.9 😳 I don’t drive hypersonic Jst “normal” aggressive driving 😂! Thx for the experiment, now I know! BTW, jst subscribed! ✌🏽 12:04
Thanks for the video! I just got my TRX on 12/18/22. Now I know how far I can go!!
How much hp gain does 15% E85/93 premium blend give the TRX?
How much hp gain does 110 octane race fuel give TRX?

Mission Accomplished 👍Well done and very surprised from results 👏
Great video really enjoyed it.....70 to 80 mph conservative? I salute you sir....drive safe brother.
A very Merry Christmas to you and your Family Mike. God Bless. 🎄🎄🎄🎄
Awesome video as always, Merry Christmas!!

Going downhill clearly
Not a good idea to run fuel tank down that far with pump in tank setup. Fuel keeps pump cool.
that moment when mike tried to put fuel in the TRX when a truck beeps his horn at him lol what the hell lol
It wasn’t safe. He should have parked the TRX off the lane to keep a bigger distance from traffic. Surprised that Mike didn’t seem to get that.
@@andypaulus72 it was funny tho
@@josephvecchio8528 true😁
Mike your awesome mate. Keep these videos coming..

26.8 miles folks.
Your welcome.
great video did you know that if you drive the Ram TRX in snow mode it will get 12.5 MPG IT WORKS. in town
Merry Christmas to you and family
Thats tonight cause road conditions like hills, mtns or flat as well as constant speeds can make a huge difference...
That’s a good time between the colder temperatures less weight with an empty gas tank 3.50 to 60 is pretty amazing.
LOL when I saw you pull out that gas can,I was like "ohh nooo, not one of those nozzles",then a few seconds later, you mentioned how it sucks.🤣🤣
go by tractor supply and get you a 5 gallon multi purpose container
Because of your fusion video I made it 10 miles on 0 miles to the gas station the other day stress free😂
Another way to do that is to know how many gallons your tank is and then when you go fill it up with the pump and subtract and you know how many gallons are still in your tank usually manufactures leave you 30 to 50 miles after it says zero
I envision this video doing so well, that you can get a new car for the channel. Good luck. Commented, liked, etc! Let's go Mike!
My new TRX ran out of gas with a quarter tank registering the gage.I figure a couple hard landings possible played a roll in that.
Great video...
Merry Christmas to you and your family Mike

That was interesting 👍 I wanna know them kinda things especially on road trips

*TRIGGERED

If it dropped to low once it went under 10 miles, we can say 10 of those 26 miles were the miles to 0. The remaining 16 was the reserve.
This.
Cool video haha!!!! Love it!
I luv these types of vids just the reaction alone are hilarious 😂 face was like “the things I do for my fans” lol

Running a vehicle out of gas and praying it still runs and goes after that. Yep! 💯💯
You need to do the video when you go from drive to park and reverse in the trx
Awesome video bro this was a great video had me dying, then I was like what if you didn’t have gas in the gas container and it was empty that would of been hella funny but awesome video keep up the great work God Bless
Very good info!! KILLER 3.5🎉
Happy Christmas
I think 3.5 in trx has got to be a new record for the trx
Can you do it with the Raptor and the Audi?
Didn’t Kramer already perform this test in an episode of Seinfeld? 😂
That's where he got the idea from.
Nice one Mike 👍

Loved the video!! Mike you make some of the best videos on youtube! Very funny, and very well produced!! Merry Christmas!
Enjoyed the videos, looking to hopefully someday own a TRX!
VP racing gas cans. They come with an extended nozzle. Much easier to refuel.
What happened to the Danger Ranger? A while ago Michael Viam said that he would do more videos with the truck, but didn't say when.
Yeah I think that those range meters are not that accurate so it tells you are low earlier so you just go and get gas.
It was quite informative if I manage to buy a monster like that :)
Next time try to put it in snow mode. I’ve been getting about 13 to 14 miles per gallon in my TRX.
26 miles at 10 mpg, so around 2.6 gallons of fuel left when it says Low.
Great vid!
The auto makers have the calibrations down pretty good ( in drivers favor). Nice to go 26 miles longer when on empty.
Your a legend 👏 I was with you the way, needed to pee as well 🤣 laughing my ass off.Merry Christmas to you and your family 🎅☃️🎄
The weight of his truck is now about 200 lbs less which is why the 0 to 60 time improved.
I get 3.5 a lot of the time with the right launch and when it’s 40° and dry out.
You have the big tank… 23..26…and 33 are the tank sizes available in the Rams… unfortunately I have the 23 in my Rebel GT
It was the law and order sound for me 😂
God Jul från Sverige!
I would try not to run low on gas. I read the fuel pump can over heat. I guess the gas keeps it cool.

Does that ruined the gas tho ? I heard it’s bad for the engine when you run it on low
Yes, those gas cans suck!!! ..lol Merry Xmas Mike!!!
You Should test drive Trackhawk. I cant remember if you did or not.
This is how you know he’s gonna get rid of the truck for the Raptor R 😂
We have a 2022 Dodge Ram Ted with 1,000 miles, we always refuel it when we have a 1/4 of a tank and I was wondering what would happen if we drove until empty, the trx sound amazing during the cold start
