I love the references to Tim Allen's other roles (Toy Story, Santa Clause) and the guest roles by former co-stars. There isn't one person on this show who isn't marvelous, replacements included. The writers deserve so much credit and the whole show deserves more awards and attention than it gets.

I totally agree with you! I was soooo pissed off when ABC cancelled LMS! Especially since it was #1 in ratings, but because they're all a bunch of liberal jackasses at ABC, they wanted them off! While I do miss the old Mandy, it's not like the new one ruins the show or anything... So glad Kyle got a haircut! He looks so much better, not all scraggly looking like before! 😊

Be careful what you ask for; it might happen, then die a quick death. These two are minor, though important, characters on "Last Man Standing". Without the others around them to interact with though, how funny do you think they'd be? Seinfeld needed all four characters to interact, as well as how they interacted with people in their personal lives, to make a successful show. If the cast was primarily Mandy and Kyle to do or say funny things, how long do you think it would last? There were/are lots of side stories going on in "Last Man Standing": Mike and Ed at work; Ed and his ex-wives; what happens at the sporting goods store; Mike and Vanessa interacting; Vanessa's job as a geologist, then as a teacher; each of them with their kids; the kids and their friends; the Larrabees (their black neighbors); the interactions between Mike Baxter and Chuck Larrabee at work; Kristen and Ryan (Boyd's father), Ryan's return and how Mike handles that; Kristen and Ryan's eventual marriage and how that all worked out, etc. You have to have a LOT of characters and sustaining stories between and among them to make a show work. With just two principals (remember, they've moved away from their families and don't have kids yet), how would you flesh out a half-hour show, one that people would look forward to watching each week? Mandy and Kyle are funny because of how they each interact with those around them: Mandy is often self-involved (but loves Kyle), while Kyle, owing to his upbringing, is incredibly naive about how the world works. He believes his life would be perfect if he married Mandy, and can't see much past that event.
The original Mandy and the original Kristin were top tier, we had the one Kristin for a whole season then bam new actress and Mandy we had for years and bam new actress. I like how they mention the change in the show but still did not like it.
I agree 💯 but I do like the new Kristen and that switch worked out pretty well, 1 cuz it was after only one season and 2 the difference between the two isn't as big of a differences in the two Mandy's. They could have looked for someone a little bit more similar to the old Mandy but no one was short and the other is super tall. Nothing against tall or short people but when switching a character on a tv show or even in a movie sequel they should look for people that look similar.

Yeah I still haven't bought her as the same character. In fact since Eve is basically no longer part of the show whatsoever, we now have 0 of the 3 original children left.

I honestly prefer to watch the first 6 seasons or so, before they made the changes, instead of the current ones. Reruns, I know, but I like them better.

I miss her, too....she just played the part perfectly! And I really miss seeing "Eve" every week. She was my favorite!! The exchange student doesn't do it for me. I think there's even a new "Boyd." I love Tim Allen but the show's not the same....but at least it came back...on FOX.

My favorite sitcom. I love Tim Allen and all of his costars. They all just jive so perfectly and deliver their lines so naturally. I also like that they incorporate Kyle's faith. They reach out to everyone.Even Tim makes references to God. Great!!!

I have loved Nancy Travis since the show Almost Perfect, the series that ended too soon. That is one of my all time favorite shows. Probably funnier that Seinfeld and Everybody Loves Raymond. She was hilarious and adorable in it. The cast was great as well. Jenna Elfman was in one or more episodes. She was so funny. If you can find it somewhere on UA-cam or the internet- definitely watch it!!😊
Awww man I haven't seen this show in forever. So sorry to hear that Molly Ephraim has left the show. She was a real funny young lady. They all just worked together so wonderful. Going to have to see the new Molly and to see how well she fits in. Got to be truthful though I will miss Molly Ephraim😔.

Amanda Fuller was Donna's younger sister on that 70's show. I think she was on just one episode. I thought Molly Ephraim was offered the roll but was already committed to something else.

I met Tim’s wife in LA in 2004. And still talk to her at least yearly. She always talked about her boyfriend Tim, until I met him. Ohhh that tim. Ha!
I really like watching this show, great actors and funny jokes. It took me a while to warm up to the new Mandy, but I'm starting to like her more and more with every new episode. I miss Eve too but Jen has added something special to the show.
You covered both Mandys but not both Kristens (the original one, and still my favorite, being Alexandra Krosney). Neither did you mention the Ryans (yes... there were two as well), Boyds (again: two of them - even though the actors are quite young), Kyle or the Outdoor Man staff (especially Ed and Chuck).
Aside from that: Well done. I prefer this kind of video (with explainations and a little background to both the roles and actors/actresses) to the ones where you just see pictures and names, and an [in a lot of cases] annoying song plays.
There is actually 4 Boyds. The original set of twins that played the character (season 1), then was new for season 2-6 and was recast in the reboot for season 7-8

I love this show.
We watch Last Man Standing even if they are re-runs. The change of Mandy as you say was surprising. I don't mind the new Mandy, but the first one is definitely best as her story line seems right on. The new Mandy could work out eventually if the writers concentrate on her story line. I won't give up on this show as it has so many possibilities. Why did they bring in the Asian actor? She is so funny and do love her part with the family. Don't cancel this show as it is such a good show (except didn't enjoy the addition of cuss words for a family show.)
The new Mandy is so out place physically. Tall and Blonde just throws off the whole persona of Mandy were use to. I blame the producers for casting McCook. It's a tough situation for her, taking on the criticism of the viewers.
@Danie Erasmus Does it seem like they have given Jen ( Asian girl) some of the old Mandy's personality? They made a couple of other changes in the early years of the series and those worked out, but what they have done now, seems like they are asking us to accept a lot all at once and it's not working.
While I did like Ephraim, Molly McCook turned out to be great in her part! She is so funny! Kaitlyn Dever is also hilarious, love her!

We love all of Tim Allen's shows but especially Last Man Standing. I went to visit a friend at W. Michigan U. Shortly after high school and later learned Tim attended the same college. They asked and tried to get her back. SHE made the decision not to return. Since she had started other jobs and wouldn't be able to do every episode, and knowing how Mandy is such an integral character in the show and her and Kyle had just married, Molly felt it wasn't fair to the cast, writers and fans for it to be part-time Mandy. Plus- how many different ways could Kyle explain why she's not around?
