Flaming arrows are bad vs inf and bad in artillery wars cuz culverine outrange only 2x FA is good fortress to deflect a 2 falc push but thats about it for application
If you send the Japan age 1 card “Seven lucky gods” your shrines can generate xp, if you heavenly kami shrine boom you’ll constantly have shipments in queue
Yeah, I've done this and you get a lot of shipments, but I'm more of the "no xp, no shipments" side of the table, meaning, I don't agree with the "xp meta" and all that stuff, it's good specially for timings, but in the long run is worse than the other options

For example, with equivalent resources you can get either 3 cav archers, or 1 yojimbo, and 3 cav archers have in age 3, combined, 954 hp and 46.8 atk, vs 540 hp and 35 atk... so yeah. And this is for the unit alone, the shipment takes it to far worse matters, because yojimbo are 400 coin, then 4 of them is 1600 coin, so the shipment gives 1600 - 1000 coin because of the shipment cost, and an age 3 shipment that you can send twice with japanese for 1250 coin each, with yojimbo it only gives 600 coin, not even normal age 3 shipment of 1000 vs 600 coin, its super bad. 14:57 yes, royal horsemen are 400 coin, it showed 380 coin because of the shogunate that discounts all military units in 5%, so horsemen cost with shogunate is 0.95 x 400 = 380 Also, i disagree that royal horsemen are such a good unit, i think they are bad; they are basically a cuirassier with a bigger aoe, but with 2 aoe is already enough to get to 200% damage, 3 aoe is nice but rarely useful. So royal horsemen have about 76.47% more hp than cuirassier in age 3, and thats about it, but they do cost 55.5% more than a cuirassier (equivalent res), so they end up being 17.1% worse than cuirassier (or the latter being 17.1% better), and cuirassier in early and mid game is even 4.3% worse than a veteran hussar, so it's not like its (royal horsemen) being 17.1% worse of a broken unit, and also have no age 4 upgrades, etc.

Fun Japan build again but unplayable when the games are not fixed. On the ladder, especially against Inca, Japan gets systematically rushed by large armies before 7-8 minutes. Since Japan is the slowest early game civ, it usually can't do anything about it. Nobody lets Japan boom like that in competitive gaming. Even then, Japan is so bad it lost anyway xD BTW, I can't believe that despite having been the worst civ in the game for years, the devs nerfed Japan again in the last update, absolutely insane.

Inca can send a TC in age 2 too, and two kalankas in age 2 to make age 3 units in age 2. And those Kalankas can do a nice garrison ambush too.
