Yo i've been wondering, i have spent almost 15k stellar jades trying to pull Ruan Mei and still haven't pulled her, at the moment i think i'll only be able to farm enough for 10 more pulls or 20 if i exchange my starlights, would you say it would be worth trying or should i just starting to save up for new characters?
I love how pure fiction made under appreciated characters like Herta and Himeko shine. It’s great how different modes and gimmicks make it so every character can have a use.

@dltalian6736 Unless they change MOC, destruction will still dominate that section of endgame, less they change it drastically. Though I could see them adding another endgame later catered towards sole single targets, or require more unique Interactions like toughness break, or surviving enemy glass cannons etc.
@@dltalian6736 Hunt characters' problem isn't the lack of single target contents, but that the current Destruction characters are just better in almost every way. Unlike Erudition with Pure Fiction, if the devs released a single target content tomorrow, DHIL and Jingliu is still going to be at the top of the chart and Yanqing still sucks.

Herta has been such a comfort pick for me since the start of the game. I only maxed her traces, her relics utterly SUCK, yet she has been perfect to give the AOE my Seele needed to consistently get kills in MoC. Being able to just throw her into pure fiction and clear without an issue was great too.
a friend of mine convinced me to build her since I was struggling to beat pure fiction 4. It is so good knowing that in this game, any character out of nowhere can get their time to shine no matter what

Wish her Eidolons weren't so disappointing...especially her E6 crap. Doesn't even snapshot on her Burst cast and for a measly 1 turn duration. Would rather have "adding more talent spin procs like 2x per enemy in 50% HP threshhold". More Kuru Kurus
Cool stuff Herta bandwagoner here. Half built Herta carried me to 80k points. Tho this cycle's enemies really favor her, she should continue to be good in the future - mechanically the AoE scaling is just too solid. I hope we are getting more free Hertas - I still need another copy.
I've been relic farming the DoT set for Kafka and Black Swan for months, with no use for the follow-up set. Now with Herta and Himeko being meta, I can now use all those relics and I feel like Gohan getting his potential unlocked by Elder Kai.
I'm one of those guys that raised their Herta for the event but man - I was shocked at how good she is in Simulated Universe and especially against Ice-vulnerable bosses that summon adds such as the new weekly boss and the Swarm boss. I hope that they keep it up with adding more Erudition-friendly fights to the game!
Think so far its fine, most daily grind is erudition/destruction focused MoC/pure fiction being the challenge modes for each of those too the Hunt fans deserve some focused content now Granted I don’t use hunt much to say for certain if that’s the case
I feel like the ideal would be to move towards a 1-2 target fight for one side of MoC and a more AoE oriented 3-5 target fight for the other side if just to promote the use of different paths instead of going full Destruction every time.

It feels like much of the community wrote her off. Aftwr recently watching Dreamy’s 0-cycle MoC showcase of Herta - I think she was always pretty busted against waves of 4-5 units even in the hardest content. People’s view of her being low tier is so undeserved in retrospect, she simply had a niche (but an important niche). I had a feeling she could be extremely powerful in her niche, but she blew those expectations away with her now becoming a “must build” unit.
Glad you made this guide very fast! The HSR community needed this. I love that you consulted Dreamy too. I was building my new Herta for PF based on Dreamy’s old videos and my own guesswork. Now I don’t have to guess 😊. On that note, I wanted to make a suggestion. With PF having a very different meta than MoC, perhaps in your future character guides if a character is a strong unit for PF you could include a section or notes for their PF specific builds or strategies. An all encompassing video on PF specific builds and strategies for strong pre-existing PF characters may also be very helpful.

thank you for making an updated/Peak fiction guide for herta. i've been real curious which would be better milky or jing cone cause herta absolutely slaughters the first side. pure fiction is such a great update i really hope hoyo doesn't ruin it by making more powercrept to hell aoe characters with what happened with DHIL/Jingliu and on the horizon dr ratio being even more... i'd hate to see such a great update and breath of fresh air to the game and so many characters we've had on the bench for months be wasted like in honkai impact 3rd going from 30k dps being a lot to 10's of millions.
Really love seeing this! I'm one of the people who ignored erudition characters and have focused mostly on my jingliu and kafka and was struggling in PF 3 and 4 but now im going to build my Herta to help
First of all, the collab with Dreamy is awesome. She has fantastic content. Secondly, I'm so glad Herta is having a moment. I built her because I like her VA and story. Now, she's destroying Pure Fiction. It's great. Finally, I wanted to say I'm glad your Guoba--bear characters (liike Herba) are getting higher resolution. The old ones were like 8-bit models (which I appreciate for retro reasons) but it's much better having these higher-res models, so we can enjoy the little details. Thanks.
Words cannot explain how happy I am to finally have a use for Night on the Milky Way. I lost my first weapon banner 75/25 in 1.0 to it over 70 pity and haven't had any reason to use it over S5 Today is Another Peaceful Day until Pure Fiction to came out. Also finally a reason to build my E6 Herta and Serval. I couldn't 3* PF stage 4 with any team combos but a lvl 70 Herta with 8/8/8 major traces and no minor traces using 2pc atk 2pc atk relics was able to easily help me get the last star.
wow i was JUST looking for a guide too. everything i've found is about 5 months out of date. i've always kept her up for the calyx farm but i've also wanted her to have her time in the spotlight
I built her not too long ago, just out of curiosity and fun, as I love the follow-up mechanic and love to build underrated characters, just to see how I can make them viable. So I was genuinely shocked to see how good she actually was, if put in a situation with multiple enemies, like the new boss. She was far better than I imagined, considering her reputation as one of the worst characters in Star Rail. Sure, against elite enemies she is terrible and you're better of with a different character. But Erudition characters weren't meant for those situations to begin with, so I don't get why people called her bad. And with the start of Pure Fiction I'm really happy with the decision I made, and that people finally acknowledge how good she can be. ^^ This game mode was really a necessary addition, to balance things out, and make Erudition shine.
Felt so lucky to have her built already. Not maxed but 70/80 with half built traces, and gave her the relics collecting dust on Yanqing (rip in bench 😩) and watched her spin w/ Himeko Praise be the Kurukuru 🙏

Alright, farming up Duke Set since I'm only gonna focus on PureFiction Herta anyways (for now, until they get rid of Fire/Ice Weakness on most of that content lol). Even my Lv 60 Himeko is still putting in work right now
I have never expected that I will actually have a reason to build her, great job by HS team for making use cases for those characters that otherwise would be forever unplayable.
As someone that's been using Herta and Himeko everywhere since launch because Himeko was my beginner banner five-star...I'm just glad people are finally realising how powerful the two of them are under the right conditions.
Perfect timing for the guide! When would an err rope be better in pure fiction? I was going to use either or smth else along those lines: -herta, himeko, ting/yukong, fu -herta, ting, yukong, fu
Do you think Herta can perform even when the enemies are not ice weakness or if they buff the health of the spawns? I went and built her with my left over sets for topaz so she's decent right now but I wonder if she can perform well enough if the enemies are stronger. Also, I notice that the PF buff when bringing an enemy health down to below 50%, it doesn't trigger Herta talent (which mention the need for ally to do the damage). Which kinda makes it a little more restrictive as I noticed multiple ocassions where I lost out on Herta FU as the 'buff' damage got them to be below 50%. Still managed to clear 60k points though.
If not ice weak you bring a matching element carry and she will still FUA llike crazy so in PF she is still gonna do great even when the blessings / enemies change. If they buff the health same thing as she normally does, just harder to get to and she might need more investment
at 7:41 , Pure Fiction kills only give 5 energy instead of the usual 10 so 5 kills only give 25 energy (you can check the wiki). Though a rotation that i like especially when running Hypercarry Herta is the Triple Ult with E6 TY: Action 1: Ult + 4x FUA + 4x Kill giving 45 energy but TY E2 giving +5 energy for 50, enough for E6 TY ult to get Herta 110 energy Action 2: Ult + 4x FUA + 4x Kill giving 45 energy Action 3: Skill + 4x FUA + 4x Kill giving 70 energy capping at 110 total for Herta Action 4: Ult + 4x FUA + 4x Kill giving 45 energy to cap out the 3 ult tech clearing 4 waves in one turn Of course this assumes that Herta is well invested enough to kill the waves but been running this tech for a while and it gets me 40k points against Gepard Great video Guoba as always!
I've been waiting to build her for a whole but got distracted with some great 5* pulls I knew back in 1.0 that she would have her day I am really curious how her 4* LC compares to Breakfast
Thanks for the guide! I think a lot of us are sitting with unbuilt E6 Hertas and not many other erudition options 😅 I do have my Himeko built so I'm extra keen on building that tag team. When you said 1-turn ultimate in Pure Fiction, was that with ATK rope? If I only intend to use her in PF should I just always stick to ATK rope? I do have a great looking unleveled ER Salsotto rope but not enough ATK ropes... I wouldn't call myself an OG Herta main, but she was one of the first units I "built" during the first two weeks or so. I remember loving the Kuru-Kuru playstyle, but then as we got different enemies and content I felt she fell off and I dropped her. Glad to see she's back on top again, at least in one end game mode!
as a Herta believer since 1.0, i'm very glad she finally has her turn in the sun. i built her specifically to deal with the Deer boss that keeps summoning twigs (and elation runs are usually comedy gold). just need a bit more better relic pieces to hit that 75% crit rate... PS: i think i've watched the unlisted guide.

Herta always have been that character that i planned to build but ended up delaying for the others until like 2 weeks ago that i impulsively start building her, and because i already started half way, so might as well i fully build her.l and because i have so many spares grande duke relics from farming topaz and the DoT characters At first i was a bit disappointed of her damage but still to be expected but i dont really care. For end game stats for pure fiction, what speed should you aim for? Without speed boots, 134 sounds really hard to get to. For pure fiction, do you recommend ER rope or attack rope? I was confused for that part
I always wanted to build Herta, but didn't do it because everyone were saying she's trash. Now when everyone are praising her, I can happily start building her. The weapon choice is hard though. I have Himeko's LC S1, LC with Ruan Mei S3 and Herta's LC S3 too, not sure which to choose
I need your help guys!!! My favorite comp so far for PF is E2 IL/Herta/Yukong/Ruan Mei As mentioned in the video, Herta works very well with Yukong and RM, but my god, E2 Dhil is amazing, he can proc herta's FuA on multiple target so her spin hits really hard each time During Dhil combo (EBA-Ult-EBA with Yukong ult's buff) herta can spin 3 times which is cracked My problem is that I don't have IL's lightcone, but I think that sig LC+ER rope can enable EBA-ult-EBA for each IL's turns ER rope (19,4%) + sig LC (12%) equal 31,4% ER EBA (40) +ult (5) + EBA (40) + 3 kill (30) equal 115 So with this ER it is 115*1,314=151,11 I know, we need 3 kill to complete this rotation but in PF it should be fairly easy to achieve within his combo IF SOMEONE have E2 dhil + sig LC, coudl you test this for me please lmao? I need to know if it is possible, it looks strong in theory

Have you tried Sigonia set on her yet? I've reached 75/310 crit stats with it in PF. Maybe The Birth of the Self would be better with it though. I'll try later.
The Birth of the Self S3 or Breakfast S5 which one is better for Pure Fiction only? I Have Breakfast lv 80 already, but TBOTS is lv 1, so if TBOTS is better by a tiny margin, I think it's more worth using Breakfast.

It seems milky way is stronger in PF and my whale friend said the Herta 4* outperformed his BD S5 lmao, but not sure how much testing he did

I built her not too long ago, just out of curiosity and fun, as I love the follow-up mechanic and love to build underrated characters, just to see how I can make them viable. So I was genuinely shocked to see how good she actually was, if put in a situation with multiple enemies, like the new boss. She was far better than I imagined, considering her reputation as one of the worst characters in Star Rail. Sure, against elite enemies she is terrible and you're better of with a different character. But Erudition characters weren't meant for those situations to begin with, so I don't get why people called her bad.
And with the start of Pure Fiction I'm really happy with the decision I made, and that people finally acknowledge how good she can be. ^^
This game mode was really a necessary addition, to balance things out, and make Erudition shine.
ive never thought ill be farming for herta and himeko luckily i got both of their lightcones and ive got herta's at s5 already
Herta kept showing up for me on Standard banner so with the included Herta Eidolons we get, I have her E6. Definitely building her now.

Felt so lucky to have her built already. Not maxed but 70/80 with half built traces, and gave her the relics collecting dust on Yanqing (rip in bench 😩) and watched her spin w/ Himeko

Glad I built her a while ago for calyx farming, using her with Himeko is pretty crazy (got 0 cycle clear in PF3-1 without letting the mobs act at all).
Alright, farming up Duke Set since I'm only gonna focus on PureFiction Herta anyways (for now, until they get rid of Fire/Ice Weakness on most of that content lol). Even my Lv 60 Himeko is still putting in work right now

I have never expected that I will actually have a reason to build her, great job by HS team for making use cases for those characters that otherwise would be forever unplayable.
As someone that's been using Herta and Himeko everywhere since launch because Himeko was my beginner banner five-star...I'm just glad people are finally realising how powerful the two of them are under the right conditions.

Do you think Herta can perform even when the enemies are not ice weakness or if they buff the health of the spawns? I went and built her with my left over sets for topaz so she's decent right now but I wonder if she can perform well enough if the enemies are stronger. Also, I notice that the PF buff when bringing an enemy health down to below 50%, it doesn't trigger Herta talent (which mention the need for ally to do the damage). Which kinda makes it a little more restrictive as I noticed multiple ocassions where I lost out on Herta FU as the 'buff' damage got them to be below 50%. Still managed to clear 60k points though.
If not ice weak you bring a matching element carry and she will still FUA llike crazy so in PF she is still gonna do great even when the blessings / enemies change. If they buff the health same thing as she normally does, just harder to get to and she might need more investment
at 7:41 , Pure Fiction kills only give 5 energy instead of the usual 10 so 5 kills only give 25 energy (you can check the wiki). Though a rotation that i like especially when running Hypercarry Herta is the Triple Ult with E6 TY:
Action 1: Ult + 4x FUA + 4x Kill giving 45 energy but TY E2 giving +5 energy for 50, enough for E6 TY ult to get Herta 110 energy
Action 2: Ult + 4x FUA + 4x Kill giving 45 energy
Action 3: Skill + 4x FUA + 4x Kill giving 70 energy capping at 110 total for Herta
Action 4: Ult + 4x FUA + 4x Kill giving 45 energy to cap out the 3 ult tech clearing 4 waves in one turn
Of course this assumes that Herta is well invested enough to kill the waves but been running this tech for a while and it gets me 40k points against Gepard

Thanks for the guide! I think a lot of us are sitting with unbuilt E6 Hertas and not many other erudition options 😅 I do have my Himeko built so I'm extra keen on building that tag team. When you said 1-turn ultimate in Pure Fiction, was that with ATK rope? If I only intend to use her in PF should I just always stick to ATK rope? I do have a great looking unleveled ER Salsotto rope but not enough ATK ropes...
I wouldn't call myself an OG Herta main, but she was one of the first units I "built" during the first two weeks or so. I remember loving the Kuru-Kuru playstyle, but then as we got different enemies and content I felt she fell off and I dropped her. Glad to see she's back on top again, at least in one end game mode!
I was so confused when she kept spinning I had mo idea it stacked, I built her expecting her to be good but she's so much better than I realised

as a Herta believer since 1.0, i'm very glad she finally has her turn in the sun.
i built her specifically to deal with the Deer boss that keeps summoning twigs (and elation runs are usually comedy gold).
just need a bit more better relic pieces to hit that 75% crit rate...

Herta always have been that character that i planned to build but ended up delaying for the others until like 2 weeks ago that i impulsively start building her, and because i already started half way, so might as well i fully build her.l and because i have so many spares grande duke relics from farming topaz and the DoT characters
At first i was a bit disappointed of her damage but still to be expected but i dont really care. She still my beloved kuru kuru

For end game stats for pure fiction, what speed should you aim for? Without speed boots, 134 sounds really hard to get to.
For pure fiction, do you recommend ER rope or attack rope? I was confused for that part
121 is doable without SPD boots
I understand certain complaints about PF, but I’m really happy with it since it allowed previously “mid” characters a place to truly shine!

The weapon choice is hard though. I have Himeko's LC S1, LC with Ruan Mei S3 and Herta's LC S3 too, not sure which to choose

My favorite comp so far for PF is E2 IL/Herta/Yukong/Ruan Mei
As mentioned in the video, Herta works very well with Yukong and RM, but my god, E2 Dhil is amazing, he can proc herta's FuA on multiple target so her spin hits really hard each time
During Dhil combo (EBA-Ult-EBA with Yukong ult's buff) herta can spin 3 times which is cracked
My problem is that I don't have IL's lightcone, but I think that sig LC+ER rope can enable EBA-ult-EBA for each IL's turns
ER rope (19,4%) + sig LC (12%) equal 31,4% ER
EBA (40) +ult (5) + EBA (40) + 3 kill (30) equal 115
So with this ER it is 115*1,314=151,11
I know, we need 3 kill to complete this rotation but in PF it should be fairly easy to achieve within his combo
IF SOMEONE have E2 dhil + sig LC, coudl you test this for me please lmao? I need to know if it is possible, it looks strong in theory

Have you tried Sigonia set on her yet? I've reached 75/310 crit stats with it in PF. Maybe The Birth of the Self would be better with it though. I'll try later.

The Birth of the Self S3 or Breakfast S5 which one is better for Pure Fiction only? I Have Breakfast lv 80 already, but TBOTS is lv 1, so if TBOTS is better by a tiny margin, I think it's more worth using Breakfast.
