Our Incredible Disney's Contemporary Resort Check In Day! | Room Tour, First Time Seeing Fireworks!

- In today’s vlog we head to Disney’s Contemporary Resort for our little staycation! This is our first time staying in the main building of the resort, we’ve stayed at Bay Lake Tower and loved it! Spoiler alert, we loved our stay here too! We started the stay with a detailed tour of our room, which is themed to The Incredibles, Jackson loved it! Then we have dinner from Steakhouse71, we took it to go and ate it in our room, it was pretty good! Then we check out the lobby area and some of the gift shops, where we got Jackson his very own Magic Band+! Then we end the night by watching the Enchanted Fireworks Spectacular from our balcony! Jackson was still awake so he was finally able to watch the fireworks, this was his very first time seeing fireworks in real life and it was such a magical way to end our check in day! As a single Dad since my son was 9 months old I can tell you holding your son on that balcony watching fireworks is a memory you will never forget.

Seeing Jackson awake for the fireworks and seeing his joy was the best. So glad he was awake to watch them. He's getting older and developing such a nice personality.
That “baby Edna Mode” is actually JackJack too. He shape shifted into her hair, nose and eyes in one scene in Incredibles 2 when MrIncredible takes him to see her.

Oh, yesterday when Jackson had one hand on each of Tim & Jen's legs? Jen was welling up so much - that's the moment that got me.
You need to take a screenshot of Tim and Jackson watching fireworks and bring it to the people who make silhouettes at Disney then have them add the firework in color. It is so perfect!!!
I feel so lucky that we get to experience all these firsts with Jackson. It just makes me feel so happy and hopeful. Thank you for sharing and bring joy to the world 🧡🖤🧡🥹
I feel so honoured and privileged to get to see these core happy memories of you three. You have worked so hard and deserve all the happiness! One thing that I find so awesome is that you validate Jackson's questions. I remember being a child and asking questions that seemed dumb but I was just curious about things. I eventually stopped asking questions when adults kept laughing at me in a rude way, telling me to grow up or what not. When Jackson asked, "why can't we get to the cars?" and you answered, "because we're on the 7th floor and they're on the ground." I felt such admiration for you as parents. This builds so much confidence when parents validate. I wish I had had it growing up :(
Also I thought it was so neat that you kept Tim and Jackson in focus and let the fireworks be fuzzy, they actually looked really neat out of focus!

You know you watch Tracker Vlogs when you go to a hotel and notice all the USB's and think how excited Tim would be!

Absolutely priceless once again! You brought back three generations of Disney firsts for this “young grandma”. My parents first brought me in a stroller , then many other firsts with them. Then my husband and I had our firsts with our children over the years, before Dad and daughter both became Cast Members. Next firsts, were us brining my parents back. I got that same feeling I got watching my kids as I did watching my parents. Lately, it has been Disney firsts with our grandsons. Making “core memories “ as our nine yr old grandson said. Priceless ones my dear. Ones I hope he continues with future generations! ❤️ Thank you Tim & Jen for bringing us along, and reminding us how important these memories are!

Note to the Tracker Fam: Pack real cutlery for StayCations! My mom always has a 'kit' for when she goes away, whether it's for 1 night or 3 months. Some items in her kit: Real Fork, Knive, Spoon, Steak or Pairing Knife, Cork Screw, Can Opener, a package of Matches, Candle, a small container of regular Vaseline to put on door hinges of doors that might squeak in the night, going to the bathroom. Just a few of the most used items.
Steakhouse 71 is an AWESOME restaurant. Traveling back up to the room with that delicious food is a sin. That food should be enjoyed sitting down where it can be served fresh.

Tim, how many times have you seen the Orange Bird shirt now? And every time you say "I kinda want to get this shirt". You really need to get the shirt. With all the traveling you do, my daughter introduced me to have a kit, that has utensils, a metal straw with cleaning brush, and cop sticks. It comes in a case with a cover . Might want to have that in your overall travel case so you can use normal utensils with your to go food.
All 6 in my family does this! I purchased sets in different colors for us. It's great to not waste plastic , we know who touched our silverware and that they are clean, (perfect for Covid precaustions, and food feels more like a meal vs just grabbing something!

You guys are awesome ambassadors for Disney. I took my kids there for years and now that they're grown, I still go myself. Watching your videos gets me so psyched to go every year. I was really cold in our room and asked for extra blankets. So I had 3 blankets on the bed and that helped. Because there blankets are thin. We have another trip planned for Oct and will ask for extra blankets right away this time. Last time was a few days in before I asked.
Sitting in Disney Springs right now, as I said I design hotels for a living. The rooms are themed but very chic!

Hint: bring your own knives, forks and spoons from home. Easier to eat with. Good for the environment. And since you travel so much, go to a place where you can buy individual pieces, get a cloth bag to put them(one with a drawstring would be best), wash them before you leave the hotel and unpack them so you will always have them when you travel. One more thing, be sure to get knives that will cut steaks.

Love the mid century modern influences in the latest room refurb. Ties in so well with the Contemporary exterior/lobby/mosaics.
Your videos remind me of my magical memories of my Disney trips in third grade and in tenth grade! I may not be able to experience as much magic now that I’m older and dealing with responsibilities and depressing nonsense, but that’s why we cherish those memories! Hopefully I might still experience the magic next time I visit Disney World, whenever the heck that is.
That tub was actually a soaking tub. I used a soaking tub very similar at the famous Grove Park Inn near the Biltmore Castle in Asheville NC. I loved it since I am tall and it was long and about 2 feet deep. I purchase one when I got home! I like it better than most tubs. Mine is freestanding not inclosed.
Btw I have been following you for many years before Jackson was born. I am 71 and I can relived Disney World through your Vlogs. Thanks you so much.

I would have thought a Deluxe hotel would have had at least metal cutlery by now, if not room service. It's great that Jackson finally got to see the fireworks. From the balcony was probably not a bad idea for his first ones, less crowds and a better chance to see them.

Tim hit the nail on the head performance is good in enchantment but doesn’t have the heart like Happily Ever After.
Steakhouse 71 is great, you should be able to walk right up to the bar in order anything you want off the menu to go, I’ve done that before, versus just ordering on the app, you have to walk in there anyway to pick up your order - might as well just order from the bar! 😊
Those inflatable bed rails are amazing!! When my girls were young, there was a night at The All Star resort, where one rolled out of bed, then an hour later…the other one rolled out the other side..it was a long night. Then we found out, Disney had bed rails you could ask for.

Im glad u all got to stay in the Contemporary Resort that was the very first Resort I stayed in my very first trip to WDW when I was 5. Someday Id like to go bk & stay there. I have to say I love Jacksons Laugh it gave me Belly Laughs with him
the contemporary dress is one of my favorite purchases. The fabric is so nice and the quality reminds me of Ralph Lauren dresses from Macy's. It's a 10/10 purchase
