    REMEMBER THIS | James 5:18
Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth bore its fruits.
    FROM THE BIBLE | 1King 18:44-45
And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a cloud out of the sea, as small as a man’s hand. And he said, get up, say unto Ahab, Make ready thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not... and there was a great rain.
    THE BIG POINT
    1. Elijah was listening to God when he was told to tell the King there would be no rain and continued to listen when it was time to tell the King the drought was over. He was listening and willing to follow God’s command.
    2. Elijah was willing to stand up for what he knew was right. He was willing to stand up
for God in front of 950 prophets as well as in front of the community who had turned against what he was supporting - God.
    3. Elijah didn’t give up. He knew that God had promised rain and IF God promised rain, the rain would surely come. He spoke to the king with confidence when he told him to eat. He spoke to his servant in faith when he asked him to look for the cloud and then asked him again, six more times. He didn’t give up after the long day on the
mountain top because his job was not finished. The rain was a necessity of life. Without rain, the crops didn’t grow, the livestock died,
and people died. There was no food without rain. The rain represented the blessings of heaven to provide for the needs of the people.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO ME?
Sometimes, it seems like we pray for the same things for a long time. Just like Elijah prayed over and over for the rain. One way to keep track of your prayers is to write them down and date the requests. Then as you continue to pray for those requests, you will start to see God’s answers.
WHAT CAN I DO THIS WEEK?
    1. Start a prayer journal. Make a list of the things you’re believing for.
    2. Find a promise for everything you’re believing for
    3. Start reading the promises everyday, make it your prayer until you see results!
    SALVATION ALTAR CALL
    ● Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sins. I give you my life! In Jesus name I pray Amen!!
    Rain
    2. What is holding you back from believing that the God of 1 Kings 18 has heavy rain stored up for you?
    3. Are you faithfully following Him and living a life of expectation - waiting and looking for His blessings?
    4. Are you continually praying for rain?
