I met Joey and Steve Simeon this Friday here in Vegas after their show which they destroyed they are so fucking nice! I told Joey I started listening to him around the time I was thinking about quitting stand up nd he inspired me to keep going nd it would be an honor to open for him one day if I earned it, he said "you know where I came from starting as young as you are you can make it if you really want to" it lit a fire under my ass I fuckn killed my next set, made my whole week Thanks Joey!!

joey i have the same story as you i remember the marc maron podcast when u were taking about paranoia well ive spent the last two years in psychosis from speed and i keep going back i dont know if people know to quit without rock bottom especially when dealomg with an enormous amount of pain id love to come on the podcast and btw im only 16 youre my idol joey u give me hope for life

Joey, I am new to this channel and podcasts.After seeing a clip of you and Joe Rogan on the Alex Jones show, I had to look you up for more. Then I found your channel. I think you are a fantastic guy.
I am 35 and from after high school I lived a similar life to what you were discussing at the start. I had many people around me but they weren't friends. It wasn't innocent. I got hooked on a powder and now I am on medication that's addictive and I'm hooked to it, it's what's given to people to get off the illegal drugs.
After 10 or so years I've finally started weaning myself off this medication. From 90mg 2 months ago I'll be starting 64mg, a drop of 2mg per week and I'm feeling good,so far.
I hear that when I get to 40 and 30mg the real struggle to wean off starts.
I've been isolated for years because it robs me of drive, ambition and more.
I can't wait til I'm off the medication in the next few months. It will be hard but I hope that's it with drugs for me.
At 35, I feel like everyone is passing me by and I'm sitting idle with these liquid hand cuffs on.
Now,Joey. I think I'm hooked on you,my friend. I'd be honored to meet you one day my friend.
I love your stories and the way you tell them. They are from the heart and have emotion.

methadone is a bitch, but you can beat it, just keep going down brother!
ps, it wasn't bad for me until I hit 20 mg, even then only mild discomfort, i was up to 120 my 1st few years on it.
For best Diaz stories, look into the kidnapping if you haven't heard it. :)
Good luck man. Gradual taper even 1 mg a week or every two weeks is the way to go. Even stay at a dose for awhile to let your body adjust. It's a great thing to be free of the liquid handcuffs and decreasing as much as possible but don't let that desire fool you into rushing things. Better to take your time and have a successful taper than to rush things and come back to the juice.
