S3 probably the best casting since S1. Despite all the misfortune, crime, controversy and tragic that ended the season. These 7 members (and the team behind the show of course) made some extraordinary memories in this show. No matter how ill what one man and the media did, back then, the group looked like they genuinely had a great time making this show.

i love joohyuk in this episode. he displayed maturity and consideration for others. too bad he was taken away from us too early. when they reached the top of the mountain he came up first with a smile on his face. that's how imagine him looking like when he passed away. rip joohyuk.
I really like the way how Joonyoung was so concern about his Juhyeok hyung when Jongmin wanted him to lift the bag and spin because he knows Juhyeok's weakness is spinning. Love them both soo much

This is one of my favorite episodes of 2D1N just because it showed how much of a caring and responsible elder Juhyeok is even after all his misfortunes in this show. I'm still sad that he left but I'm sure he left behind a good legacy in the show.

Rewatching this for the nth time. RIP Kim Joo Hyuk. You will be missed. This is one of my fave episodes of 2D1N.
I honestly prefer this season because no one is the MC, Hodong was quite loud which sort of annoyed me a lot, and in this season you can see that no one is talking for everyone.

@@danii5131 Yes, especially at the beginning, Defconn liked to be MC and was craving for more scenes. But I think he was also under a lot of stress because of that, so he appeared apparently quieter later. And in these two years, Defconn seems to find his way to be integrated into the show. He doesn't force himself to get more scenes and appears to be more comfortable. Anyway, I love Defconn and all members!!!Remember the member~
I feel so sorry for junho getting treated like that by defconn as if he carried the 20.5kg. give him a break, he did more than defconn ever did in this ep whether he's injured or not he should be grateful

It was so sweet of Taehyun helping junho climb that steepy mountain , also when he was helping defconn wrapping his leg before he went to the hospital and also calling him to check on him 💗
For several reasons this episode reminds me of a quote that goes like "If you want to know someone's personality, travel with them." or something like that. They travel together on every shoot but this one is particularly harsh and harder than usual so everyone gets pissy easier. Not just Defconn and Junho, even Joonyoung and the others. I dont know if it's the editing or the lack of good footage, but they are just less cheery than usual. So as viewers all we can do is sit back and enjoy the show and also cheer the cast and crew.. and stop the hate.

I have to be honest, I didn't miss Defcon one bit while he was away. The rest of the cast still managed to do fine in my opinion. And at least Junho left him his sleeping bag, Defcon emptied his entire bag which was a bit too much, two wrongs don't make a right.
well i didnt miss him either n frankly that's only cuz this show runs on the individuality of EVERYONE and not just one person. So the fact that i don't miss defcon is because everyone in the show is important to the show's livelyhood therefore all the members minus defcon were each producing enough individuality for us not to realise defcon wasnt there. (basically meaning they did their best not to show worry for dcon so we wouldn't get worried) but is all just my assumption so don't take it from me

Junho had to carry Defconn backpack for 5-6 hours then he got too tired so that he threw def's clothes away, I can get it. At least he still kept def's sleeping bag. On the other hand, Defconn had to do nothing and get to throw all of Junho stuff away including the sleeping bag. I don't want to take side but obviously it's hard to root for Def

but what's madder is all these venomous hate against defconn, and to a lesser degree, joonyoung, just because they're playing up to a certain role. honestly, calm down, lads and lasses.
first of all, it was already mentioned in the recap episode that those two had blew up against each other. and look how they interacted in that particular episode. sitting next to each other, as adults, laughing at each others' childish behaviour. so, why are we, the viewer, getting all pent up for the so-called 'injustice'? just like friendship, you play pranks, you have fights, you have laughter, together. and remember, they are still in the phase of getting comfortable with each other, again as mentioned in the recap episode.
secondly, in the end, it's all about entertainment. it's a tv show. with a script, no matter how loose they are, and with characters, as they've bestowed upon each other. concerned pig? devious trash? honestly, do you really think each and everyone of them act the same way outside the show? before last season yangyang episode, how many know the real jongmin? the unsociable jongmin? the-kept-everything-to-himself jongmin? and he did everything against that, just for tv. well, except his for acrophobia, that is...
so my advice? cheer up people. thank these lunatics for sacrificing the body and soul for the show just to make us laugh. thank them for trying their damnest, even if it turned sour sometimes. and thank them for providing us with some of the best visuals in any variety show on earth. heck, if not for the weekly session, i could have killed someone in the line of duty. now that's what pent-up anger can do to you... ;)

rewatching this and i really cant stand defconn here. he didnt have to carry the load and hike, and he wasnt in the situation where he was asked if wanted to give things up (which judging from his character/persona he would have thrown items not belonging to him too), so calm the f down and be grateful your teammates even shared your load? no one owed him anything tbh. it's unfortunate he got injured but that's not the point.

It's comments like this where you can just tell you have a bias. In what episode has Defconn betrayed the group? Literally none. Do you know the temperatures that they sleep in? Why is everybody hating on Defconn? I don't get it. They're all playing parts/characters in the show. Ju Hyeok is the clumsy oldest brother, usually docile, but he managed to lie spectacularly in the smoking ep until he was pressured to out himself. Jun Ho is the devious character, always pushing everybody's limits almost past breaking point of tolerance or even what's acceptable for TV. Tae Hyun is the reaction guy who can also be really rude--but for some reason no one on the comments call him out on it. Jong Min is the funny "fool" who seems to bear the brunt of everybody's "character bullying" and so is always bent on "revenge" even though he always fails. Jun Young is the lucky maknae who can also get really smug--too smug sometimes--and who always lords his wins over Jong Min.
Defconn is the concerned guy... so what's wrong with that? The producers just reinforced this "character." It's a VARIETY SHOW. Everybody complaining about him wanting air time... if you watch variety shows, a LOT of celebrities joke about wanting air time. He asks the producers to make things difficult for them. Why not? It's what makes the show interesting, seeing how the members react ridiculously in difficult situations. The rest are really passive on that regard and always want to make things easier. He's kind to Ju Hyeok. Everybody else gets mean and rude and ROUGH--and he doesn't even get particularly rough, if nobody's noticed. Jun Ho, as always, went overboard and left ALL his personal things. Who wouldn't be pissed?
I'm not hating on any of the other members. In fact, I love them all. All I'm saying is that it's ridiculous to single Defconn out when every single one of the members have "bad" points THAT COME ALONG WITH ALL THEIR GOOD POINTS. Does Defconn really deserve all this hate?

I do agree with you but the fact that he was a lil bit disliked by some viewers is because he overdo his character and it wasnt appreciated. He should like maybe cut it down a lil 😕 ppl wouldnt be complaining if they are satisfied with his character, there has to be some sort of limit you know? Helen Lim If the producers didn't constantly put the "Defconn's concerned again" text over his face, over and over and over again for the sake of being funny--even for a random just-standing-there blank face--nobody would be taking much notice of his "concerned" character. He was just improvising, as they always do in the show. Only Tae Hyun was against it anyway--as he always does for something that takes extra effort--and the rest went along with Defconn, even laughing about it. So if there's anyone who should cut it down, it should be how the producers edit the show to make the members appear a certain way for the sake of their "show character."
If the producer didnt add in his concerned again text, ppl would felt even annoyed LOL. The rest just stared at him like ._. and was quiet till joonyoung suggest smtg else. Junho even mentioned he should be knocked by the hammer to tease him. Im actually glad defconn's character is the concerned, they used to have no nicknames or character, he just acts that way. I dont like how he ask the pd to make the show harder (twice) without asking other member's opinion too, he can get a lil bit excited by his own and just forget abt others at times. People are gonna dislike him for reasons and the only way to stop them is letting them naturally accept his character. But if his character are so disliked, then you can probably do ntg ._. No one could convince others to actually likes someone they dislikes. Maybe Im used to him being so concerned, althou I find him annoying at times, season 3 would be super weird without a concerned pig, so theres no point we try to argue over him being nice or not when hes never gonna change and just accept the fact that his character is not gonna be like by some minority 2d1n fans. Helen Lim You're right, you can't force someone to like someone they really don't like... I guess I just felt maybe it was how the production overemphasized his character that made people dislike him, and I felt bad for him, especially when others are saying they should take him off the show. In any case, we're all big fans of 1N2D, regardless of differences of opinion. :)

I was watching old episodes of 2d1n with the old cast and I get now that season 3 has the best chemistry for the members. Ho Dong before made it seem like he's a leader and not friends while working but pure work. Casts in s03 are really close and they are comfortable with each other. They can make jokes even with the oldest members.

angelie rivera I felt bad for Jongmin as well. He's a funny person but he can't even get airtime before. It was always Ho Dong, Seunggi, and Sugeun. Though they were funny at times, but it was obvious that they were too conscious.

I'm a woman and what he's done to those poor women is unforgiven. So I deleted all of his song, even when I missed 2D1N S3 I cant watch because of him. He really wasted all his talent. And I cant believe there are some girls out there who still show their support ...I mean...man...look what he's done to those poor women 😭

I actually quite liked Defconn because of Weekly Idol, but this episode he really made me cringe. I think Junho was wrong in what he did - he should've at least kept the jackets and underwear, but being faced with temptation and fear of the 'steep climb' he was lured by the PD. Defconn throwing away the sleeping bag was too much. They already sleep in such terrible conditions, and Junho kept saying "I kept your sleeping bag! Don't throw mine!" but he had nothing to say about the clothes because he threw Defconn's first. The sleeping bag and undies were too much for me. The show's supposed to be for entertainment and variety, but it's also reality TV and I think people's desire to leave others worse off than themselves really demonstrate their nature as a human.

I decided to rewatch this episode and my opinion about defconn in this episode is still the same. I really really disliked him in this episode, too eager, too greedy, overall just too much :(
I think no one can beat this 2days1night Season 3 their chemistry is so funny, i really miss this show hayss it will never be the same anymore

this is indeed the best season.. after all the incidents, i cannot bear to watch this season for some times due to disappointment 🥺 however i started to look them up again at the beginning of this year 😢 surprising enough, i still remember most of the episodes, i even laugh before the funny scenes on play 🤣 im pretty hardcore fan of jjy for this season and will always be 😍🌹
No one wanna talk about how PD-nim carried that heavy bag by himself? I was so amazed with him! He's the main director but he keep being cool!!
Someone probably already said this, but heavier items should go towards the bottom of the pack and closer to your back, NOT towards the top. This will help you balance as you walk the trail.

Wow!! We have a purist here!! Get real many people will watch these and many other shows else where - I'm included (Shock horror!) many shows that are from this broadcaster are subbed and uploaded on other sites which are one or three weeks ahead from this one! Its a fact that ALL people are not patient enough to wait for KBS to upload here on this channel. Don't cry about it just don't get your panties in a bunch, if you want to blame someone; ask yourself. Does KBS pay royalties for all the foreign sound bites/music that they use in ALL their shows, dramas, variety shows...... ??? Get the answer to that one before going all 'Spanish Inquisition' on people!!

I think this episode was one of representative 2 days 1 night as the real wild variety show. Climbed tough mountain with heavy bag, unexpected injury, friendship, laughter and betrayal. Although some people complained about parts in this ep, but for me, i enjoyed every moment of it. But above all, respect to joohyuk who showed role as eldest, took care of member and loyalty to keep his belonging. That's a thoughtful of him
I loved the fact that junho brought masks for every member :D He did the same thing with the cigarettes too

Defconn didn't even hike the entire way, I honestly don't think it's reasonable for him to go on about the meat or throw out any of Junho's stuff.. Just my honest opinion tho! Everyone seems so angry in the comments D:
It's not like he'll be the only one eating the meat, for one thing... it's for all of them. Not a single one of those guys would have left all of the meat. After all that exercise, they wouldn't have been happy with just ramen. And you can't really blame him for getting injured early on--he didn't plan that. He only threw out Junho's things because Junho did it first. I mean how much heavier would it have been if Junho at least left one of Defconn's jackets in the bag? Junho did it to be funny, but that would still have been annoying.
If Defconn hadn't slipped, he would have probably carried that heaviest bag, which is what he had in the first place, through the entire thing, barring reshuffling from the games. And don't worry, I'm not attacking you... just a difference in opinion. :P

Honestly I guess they both were doing it for the humor, I suppose its just not my type of humor! Especially with the editing and everything its hard to say how arduous or lengthy the hike was from point to point (though I'm sure it was tough! Not bashing on the members). Haha I'm just used to the childish scheming from season one and some other variety shows so when something like that happens its not very funny for me.
