Medium is my limit, and even then only if it doesn't look that much worse than high. I don't like missing out on graphics. Except for textures, as long as it is using the full 10gb that I have, it will look good dispite the setting being called "low" (indiana jones)
Not in every game, but I agree with you, it does happen. 🙂 That’s why I always lower some settings by one level when I need more FPS. However, if resolution upscaling can help me hit my desired FPS target, keeping the settings maxed out is still a nice option.
I bought a used 6700XT for $250 about the time the $500 4060Ti came out, about a year and a half ago. They have the same performance in raster, similar up scaling and frame gen and that is before the simple tuning to get the 6700XT to 6750XT clock speed, they have the same core.
6700xt has the best performance per dollar, nice find, in my case I was upgrading from 2060s so wanted more for the upgrade, did spend a bit more than I wanted but really happy with power consumption and performance from my 4070
A lot of that pop in still occurs on the 4060Ti 16GB version. The game logic itself in these latest games don’t really take advantage of the hardware and leave issues in that shouldn’t occur, or just have egregious mipmap texture pop in
Hello! Thank you for the video! I have two questions: 1) What software do you use to get the status of for amd other information in the left side of the screen? 2) I have a 4K monitor 32 inch with maximum 60 Hz resolution and FreeSink. I would like Rtx4060 due to the low power consumption. Would you recommend it for my monitor. I just want to buy a AM5 Ryzen 5 7600 based system.
Hi! I use CapFrameX. The RTX 4060 handles most of the latest games well, if you use DLSS resolution upscaling. I recently made a video exploring the 4060’s performance at 4K. Check it out - ua-cam.com/video/xb0wHnYf5YY/v-deo.html
I realize cpu plays a very important part in running games. Once I had a top of the line processor back in the day with a crappy integrated graphics card yet I was still running the game fine.
you have games , which are more based on CPU than GPU and vice versa. depends on that . somethimes you can have top CPU and shityy GPU and you will have bottleneck no no smooth runing
This is the card I'm running for 3440x1440 and the experience isn't great, but I got it for $200 like new and it's serving as a decent placeholder until the 5080 arrives =)
Every time you drop that DLSS setting from DLAA to Quality, you are losing a noticeable amount of image quality over native. If you're fine with that, I guess the card is enough. For native DLAA I wouldn't go for anything slower than a 3090/4080 in the current day. My 3080 is starting to struggle.
@@Carlos-wl5fn I have a similar monitor, 1440p and all. For me it's quite clear in everything. But especially open worlds with objects/landscape further away, like Stalker 2 here. Those far away details tend to get less defined immediately. But if you need the fps to go up, it is there and you can make that sacrifice.
I only play competitive shooters and the 4060 does just fine because low settings is best for FPS games anyway. In bo6 I get 150+ frames with my 4060 at 1440p
I’d recommend the RTX 4060 if you absolutely must buy now and can’t wait to see what the RTX 5060 will bring to the market later this year. Keep in mind, however, that the 5060 could end up being another disappointing GPU with just 8GB of memory-an increasingly problematic limitation in 2025 for playing the latest AAA games.
If Nvidia had made a rtx 4060 16gb at like €330 or €350 it would have been a really good deal and like the RTX 3060 12gb most likely the only version people would buy. 8gb is clearly not enough vram anymore. Sadly RTX 5060 will most likely have 8gb again. RTX 5060 TI 16gb could be really promising if the price is not as high as the RTX 4060 TI 16gb.
Are you okay with playing the latest AAA games on Low graphics settings?
No

Medium is my limit,, if not I would just play something else, or consider upgrading, but for 1 game it is not worth it
In my opinion, ultra settings make no sense, they unnecessarily consume performance and the game looks 99% the same on high settings.

Ultra and maxed out settings mainly for futureproofing purpose. These were meant for next gen cards, not current gen cards. 🤷🏻♀️🥴
@@Jakiyyyyy Right even if game becomes old there will be a way to enjoy it on good visuals.
The 4060 Ti is available in 16GB VRAM version for a while now

I am so excited about the Rtx 5060 Ti 16GB test with this setup. I hope you will do it🙌 Great video comparisations, keep it up👍
Thanks! I'll definitely test the RTX 5060 Ti once it comes out.
I can't really tell unless I look for every detail between ultra and high/ medium settings but low is drastically different in a bad way.
Can we see similar with intel B580 pair with ultrawide compromise setting? Thanks for contents.

how about using optimized settings instead of presets?
Also how much vram they can add depends on the architecture aswell, they would have to make 4060 192 bit, which would ruin their entire lineup.
The 4060 would be a great little card.. at $199.
they are gonna update dlss 3 on 4060 to use lesser vram any idea about this update ?

Sometimes the difference is clear but in others hard to spot the difference but fps go up

A lot less people would buy 4070 if 4060 had more vram for same price. Dlss is just that good.
Yup. Every GPU up to the 4070 Ti SUPER tries to upsell us to the next level with its highly limiting VRAM capacity.
@theivadim Well that sucks for customers like me yeah but then there is 7600xt, so much vram that I can swim in it. But will never buy it.
This is me, went with 4070. Also 4060 is pcie x8 and for b450 users that is bad. Also 128 bit bus
Help. 4060 vs rx 7600 xt vs arc b580? To pair with R5 7600x.
