The rumour, years ago, was that 1972's 2p was extremely rare because it was only issued in proof sets, but some had slipped into circulation.
Not being in the UK at the time, I can't remember how that played out.

There are three different 1848 six pence's in fine Its worth around £55 in mint state its worth £1k+ However there are 2 other 1848 six pence's the first is the is the 8 over 6 and the other is the 8 over 7 that are worth around the same price
